Nero- Black

Great purchase, rises smooth and slick looking. Luckily I know how to assemble a bike but maybe for first timers a guide would help? Great customer service.

Really excellent service especially…

Really excellent service especially when compared to other companies I tried to communicate with when looking to purchase a new bike. Was really impressed with the service, communication, and was also the cheapest place I found for what I wanted as well.

Would highly recommend.

Terrible service

It took my bicycle frame three weeks to arrive. During this time I received one email that the order is being processed, but no tracking number and no reply to any of my emails.

Terrible company to buy from. Avoid at all costs

Terrible company to buy from. If you can find the bike you are after from another site go with them.
Ordered a bike from them and it went missing on transit. Took days to get any meaningful response from the company and eventually the bike was delivered 10 days after it was supposed to be.
Bike was delivered damaged. It was not the fault of the carrier as it simply hadn't been packaged properly. Front wheel had become lodged in the pedal cranks and was badly scratched as was the frame.
Single speed co were very good at getting a second bike ordered and confirmed they would have the damaged one collected.
This was in July. I am still waiting for the damaged bike to be collected, after having two dates set up and waiting at home all day to facilitate collection. Still awaiting an explanation from single speed. Their customer service is absolutely diabolical.

Delighted with ordering process and how…

Delighted with ordering process and how the bike looks.
Was realistic in knowing that any discounted (Rutherford State Cycle) would need some upgrading. Tyres and brakes pads for example - very entry level but small investment worth the upgrade.

I had to replace the rear sprocket as even with professional adjustment there was some misalignment leaving the chain with varying tension during each chain rotation. Easy to upgrade sprocket and chain and still meaning total price leaves you with affordable and stylish bike.
Overall though very pleased.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. I placed an order 3 weeks ago and recieved no information regarding the delivery of my bike. I have called messaged and emailed all with no response.

The bike took 9 days to arriv

The bike took 9 days to arrive.

The Pure Fix bikes are shipped directly from the Pure Fix warehouse in Netherlands so Single Speed Co is just acting as a middle man, which is pretty pointless when you can order directly from Pure Fix. Single Speed Co were good at getting back to me but because they weren't the ones actually sending the bike, they were pretty useless when it didn't arrive in time. I had paid extra for faster processing which obviously didn't happen. I did get refunded for this.

Ordering was simple - communication awful

Ordering was simple, price was good. However, shocked that it took 10 days for any further communication - which was to tell me that the order was with the warehouse.
It then took another week for delivery!
I don't expect an order to take 2.5 weeks, with very little communication along the way.
Now the bike has arrived it looks good, and was reasonably simple to finish off setting up.

DHL ruined a 5 star rating

Would have made 5 stars if the delivery service was better. Ended up having to collect it myself due to DHL committing to something which they couldn't deliver and subsequently "losing my package" until I contacted head office who then tracked the item down.

5 stars if you change courier ;)

not service minded at all

my order took way to long to arrive, and when it did - some of the parts for my bike were not in acceptable condition. I e-mailed about this, and only got the answer that my bike should be professionally assembled (which it was) and then everything was in order (which it wasn't). I will never order anything from single speed again. And cannot recommend it.

It's been good

It's been good. I've had problems with faulty parts, but they've been dealt with well. Love the bike (State Cycle Montecore 3.0)

Selling bikes they don't have in stock

Ordered a bike that they clarly didn't have in stock even though the website stated otherwise. Got contacted 2 days after the order was made, telling me that they could not deliver the product I had ordered after all. Unfortunate that the company are offering products which they cannot deliver, and that it takes them days to figure that out.
On the positive note, the refund came back quickly.

Service personell seemed not too detail oriented as I specifically ordered a bike in the smallest size availible (and the only type and style they had in this size). When confirming that they couldn't deliver, they asked me if I could find something else on their site instead, and I kindly replied that I had already looked for alternatives, and sadly there was no other bikes suiting me due to it's size. I received another reply shortly after, asking me how tall I was and that they were sure, they would have something that fit me... (even after I had already kindly replied that I had checked and there was none). Well, if the order I made was looked at, the would find out very soon that they in fact did NOT have any other bikes in that size, instead of acting pushing by not "accepting" my answer that I had in fact already looked.... Even AFTER a bad experiance from ordering someting they did not have in stock, even though they status said otherwise...

Hi, Merethe! Very sorry for the issue. We had a stock miscount which had resulted in that bike still listed as available although there were none left in the warehouse. Our customer service is trying to get everyone to pick good choices that fit well, I am sorry you felt like you are being pushed. It is definitely not our intention. many times people pick bikes without properly checking the correct size which is why we often double and triple check. Glad you had done your research properly and sorry we couldn't deliver this time.
