Just to recap, you ordered a Mossman steamer trunk on Sunday 8th of March. It was put into production Monday 9th with an estimated make time of 2 weeks. It was finished early and the delivery was made 19th March. We've spoken a few times throughout the process, at the start about the incorrect address and then to ensure that the product was received ok when it was dispatched early. We're sorry for the delay in our reply when you advised the issue with the trunk, we were unavailable 20th/21st and then it was the weekend when our office is closed. I have now replied to your email this morning Monday 24th. The case will be fixed or replaced as quickly as possible and we appreciate your continued patience whilst we complete the process. I ordered a Liverpool Brick Vase as Sir Gordon Bennett offered 10% off 1st orders and free delivery so was the best available price online. When the order arrived there were slight manufacturing faults in the glazing and as this was a gift for someone I wanted it to be perfect. I emailed customer support with photos and received a prompt reply from Dan apologising for the issue and advising he would look into this for me. The next day I received a follow up email advising a new vase was on its way which was delivered the following day. The replacement vase was perfect and I was advised to keep the faulty vase as this company is obviously environmentally conscious and returning it was just going to use more avoidable petrol. Although it would have been preferable to not have any issues with the vase I feel it says a lot about a company how they deal with issues when they arise and Sir Gordon Bennett and Dan were faultless. The measure of a good company is not just what they do right but how they resolve issues when things don’t go quite to plan.

Thank you for getting in touch. I am sorry for the delay in my reply. To recap, you placed an order for a Samuel Groves pan on 29th of December. Great choice, they are lovely things. Samuel Groves pans are made to order in around 20 working days. The order was put into production when the factory came back from Christmas holidays first full week of Jan. The item was shipped on the 30th of January and received by yourself on 3rd of Feb which is pretty much spot on 4 weeks/20 working days. UPDATE.
Hello Chevanne, thank you for your review. I am sorry that you've had a poor experience with us. To recap, you placed an order 9pm Wednesday 11th December which was shipped 7pm Thursday 12th of December with Royal Mail. That parcel never arrived, and still hasn't arrived 5th Feb 2025.
We have to wait a certain period to speak to Royal Mail to make a claim (something we have done now), which makes things quite tricky that close to Christmas.
What we have failed to do here is communicate very well about what we are/not able to do, and common curtesy of replying to emails in a timely manner, for which I am very sorry. Our customer services has had an overhaul in 2025 after being honest with ourselves about our performance, as you've experienced, it hasn't been good enough.
This doesn't change what you've experienced but looking forward it was the point at which things changed for the better.

Very disappointing
I ordered a fairly expensive coat from Sir Gordon Bennett on 23rd October, yet as of 12th November it still hasn't arrived, and the email I sent on 7th November chasing my order remains unanswered - despite receiving an automated confirmation that it had been received and would be answered either the same, or next working, day.
I'm now getting very worried, especially considering the other recent reviews posted.
UPDATE 14/11/24: They replied once I posted this review, saying that the supplier should be in touch with them that evening. I then received another email stating that the coat wasn't in stock in the size I ordered and asking what I'd like to do. I have asked for a refund, which they have said they are processing and will be with me in 3-5 days. So we shall see.

The product you ordered comes direct from the manufacturer. Unfortunately the size you required was not available but whilst trying to get clarification on the issue with the manufacturer we failed to keep you updated on the process. Which we understand is frustrating and created some unease.

Item ordered September 30 2024. Order is still "processing" today (6 October). Under FAQs, website says "Your order will either be dispatched the very same day or the following morning." Wrote to customer support on 4 October asking what is going on, no reply. Completely in the dark about this order and when it will be fulfilled. Poor customer service.
Update 12 October: company said on Monday 7 October that the item would be shipped "tomorrow" (i.e., on 8 October). It is now 12 October and the item is still "processing" (now in its 13th day of processing). On 11 October I asked if the order could be cancelled and my money refunded. No reply.
Update 16 October: after sending this company a letter before court claim because of on-going failure to supply goods or update me, they agreed to refund my money within "three to five working days." Let's see if that happens.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention and I would like to apologise as it would appear the communication from us and our manufacturer has not been as good as we'd liked. Once an order comes into us from an external supplier the order is dispatched the very same day or the following morning but this did not happen. What transpired was the materials for the item were available for the belt but that information was not relayed quick enough to us to inform you.
At Sir Gordon Bennett we strive to offer the best service and we let ourselves down due to the poor communication from ourselves and again I would like to apologise as we are embarrassed as that is out of character for us.
Our finance department has now processed the refund for you and this normally takes 3-5 working days until it hits your account.
