Night and Day Experiences
My experiences between this agent and the agent from 8/17 were night and day. The agent today was helpful, respectful, and able to solve my issue easily. The agent from yesterday was rude, patronizing, and pretended like he didn't know what to do. I am shocked by the difference in quality between tech support reps.
I believe it's a scam business.
I believe it's a scam business.
- They contact domain managers without invitation
- Claim running a scan on the website and that no malware was found
- Then second day they will send another email claiming the site is infected
- Then boom, within few days they'll send a third email stating that they removed sitelock seal from the site because it's infected! The site never had their seal!!
Absurd and false!!
Very disappointed, this company has went down the drain, feels like a scam now!
I have had sitelock service many many years ago and they helped me fix my website issues and I also paid for the subscription service which was good... NOW i can not say the same. This company must have taken a really bad turn...
I ordered SiteLock 911 service for my new website because i thought maybe there was some issues with my site, but it was only a hosting issue with my site and not a hack. Well before I knew that... I had already followed the instructions for setup and called the number to give my credentials.
I paid $169 and haven't received any service. I have contacted support many times asking for an update, absolutely no response. It has been a week now and I still have not heard from anyone. They took my money and ran off! At this point I just want a refund, this experience has been horrible.
I can not recommend SiteLock anymore, which is sad because they use to be so good.
If you buy service from them, dont expect to get ahold of anyone. It will be frustrating.
911 Scan = 911 Scam
I have bought the 911 Scan and am unable to login, the request a new password results in no email to my inbox and the chat function simply says that there are no agents currently available. I can't get through on the phone.
I was expecting them to sort this in a day - as their website promises, but I'm left hanging, in limbo with no resolution and $169 out of pocket.
No other way to describe this than a theiving scam.

After 3 years bad Support makes me leave
I am using sitelock since 3 years now. I was happy with the service at the beginning as I didn't face mailware issues again. But in the following years the support went so bad that I am already looking for an alternative. Honestly you can almost never reach them. I always try "live" chat for days and almost never reach anyone. If you are lucky to get through you reach a first level admin who doensn't take you serious at all. Also they are most of the time not very knowledgeable. I was facing an issue and 2nd level admin team of bluehost was involved and the admins were sure the problem was on sitelocks side. Unfortunately it was almost impossible to work with sitelock on this issue. Also the recent months I scanned my site with different scanners and it showed me that there was still mailware. I am getting the feeling that as soon as you purchase an upgrade or another product the helpfulness disappears and you are on your own. In theory you might be able to manage most of the scanners and settings on your own. If you are an technical expert it might be fine to chose sitelock. But if you don't know so much about server settings etc. it is very hard as you'll almost never get someone to help when scanners suddenly are not able to connect anymore or when you face social media blocking issues which are connected with Sitelock TrueShield. Even on 80% of mail support tickets I simply didn't get an answer which is actually unbelievable as I am paying almost 100 Dollars a month. If the support would not be that bad I could probably arrange staying with sitelock. But I depend on the functionality of my sites as I am living on them so I have to find another solution longterm.
My tech support
My tech support, VV got right on the job to respond to the issue. He informed me of what needed to be done, how long it would take, and what to expect.
Success!
I'd been having trouble with my site for a while. I contacted my host and they said it was a problem through sitelock. I finally made time to sit down and contact them through the chat box on their site.
Chat boxes are generally slower than calls, but I preferred to take time to chat than to make a call.
I never got the name of my assistant, but the assistant was very patient. I was asked to share my host username and password and I just didn't feel comfortable doing so. Instead, the assistant walked me through the steps to get my site back up after a firewall and security certificate issue was making my site inaccessible.
As the chat went on, the box seemed to more slowly submit my messages, which made it take longer. That could have been because of my RAM usage or the site itself. Either way, the assistant was helpful and patient. Thanks!

Greate support.
Ameen & M.Q. were both very helpful
Ameen was very helpful and transferred me to the appropriate person that could help me with my question which was about malware. That rep, M.Q.- Tier 1 Support, was also helpful and explained that a malware support would be a better fit. We were cut off on my end by mistake but, luckily the page was still up this morning and I could see the chat. I will call and speak to a malware tech when I have more time.
Thank you so much.
They cannot seem to get it to work all…
FALSE SENSE OF SECURITY
The worse part of this experience is that their Dashboard shows that they are connecting, and it is working. All is “GOOD;” however, when I go to configurations, there is an error that the site cannot connect “Unable to establish FTP connection. Please double-check your credentials.” I contacted my ISP, and their logs show that the site is not being attempted to connect from any of the IP addresses supplied by SiteLock. They clearly have an issue. I am canceling 4 of my accounts, and I am canceling my clients that I have put on Sitelock as well.
Just try to get a hold of your sales rep as well.
They cannot seem to get it to work all the time. My site goes down more than it is up with a Sitelock error. I am not sure because the SSL expires (they are responsible for it) or because there is more than 1 IP listed. I had to do some troubleshooting myself and deleted one of the IPs, and the site came up. When talking to support, they always pass the buck to the Hosting company. I am not sure the money is worth the service.
I called several times and have a Dialpad dialog of the conversations. Sitelock has no record of our conversation.
Today I tried to contact my Account rep or the person that created my account, and they sent me to support.
I have no control over where Sitelock is pointing my DNS, and they have the incorrect information listed.
The site has been working for at least a year on the current server; however for the last 2 months the site is not always up with a Sitelock error. I contacted Support again and spoke to a lady at about 12:30 PM 6/2/2022 PST and she gave me nothing but attitude.
Sitelock support is lacking I would suggest finding another web security company. A product is only as good as the support when something goes wrong.

Most helpful!
I was 100% satisfied with my Tier 1 service agent. They did exactly what I asked help for and more actually. I wasn't expecting them to fix the issue for me, only to tell me how. I was very, very pleased. I thanked them for this. Over and beyond the call of duty, much appreciated.
Great product!
Stupid con
Stupid con, keep getting messages from Sitelock scanning a web address that I don't own anymore / got rid of it as spent ages trying to stop Sitelock scanning it.
Sitelock was apparently set up many years ago, however having now contacted all the internet web providers I have used over the Sitelock issues none of them set it up.
Spent hours over this and the only response from SiteLock is they can't cancel it, you have to have it canceled by the service provider......who don't exist.
Blatant con, dishonest company....
