Garbage customer support

Bunchs of useless employees (if they are even real) with pre made responses and no ability to socialize or helping at all. Fake offers in the app that disapear once you need to pay. No phone number to contact in case of scam of those types.

This was the last time that I was using this garbage service. To whoever created SkipTheDishes you should close your useless business

A joke!!

I was supposed to receive 5000 points after a $30 order. I asked about not receiving my points after an hour. I was told I would receive them after the offer ended. That was the next day. It's now the 8th. I have tried contacting via their chat, they have cut me off I was a loyal customer. Not anymore and will spread my message that customer service is a joke!!!

Same as everyone else

Same as everyone else. Customer service is garbage. Allowing drivers to not use bags that keep food warm. Making multiple stops and delivering cold inedible food. Do not waste your money on this company

Received yet another now final terrible skip order

Received yet another now final terrible order with both missing and substituted items. Nichol B. informed me that I need to send skip pictures thing I'm attempting to scam/cheat skip??? Truth is I'm a disabled senior without any camera/cellphone. I've spent thousands of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ ordering from skip, with many times with much aggravation! So a special and final goodbye to Nichol B. + Skip.....you've lost another who once was a very good customer......I'm DONE!!!!

Drivers steal food. Skip does nothing about it.

Their drivers are TERRIBLE. Late arrivals, mishandled items, and steal food.
Worst of all, Skip asks for tips ahead of delivery, and will not issue a refund for the tip.
There is no way to regulate the drivers, deduct stars, or retract tips. ZERO consequences for bad service.

I ordered tonight. Missing food. Confirmed with the restaurant that they packed all items. So that means the driver stole my food, and ran away with a $5 tip.
After a long and hard day, this is NOT helpful.

It was really good until recently

It was really good until recently, they stopped giving us refunds when wrong items, or missing items. They made us go to the restaurant anyways to get a refund. Matters well skip, this service now.

My order was $80 and I know I put in…

My order was $80 and I know I put in the right address because I read it. I asked them to deliver it into my hands at the apartment lobby. They delivered to the wrong address and sent me a picture of my order resting at someone's doorstep. I received a text telling me they were at my apartment but I couldn't text them back; I just got referred back to their website. There is no phone number to contact them. I messaged them on FB and they said I should have checked to make sure the address was right (it was). They then said they would give me 50% of the cost of my order in Skip Credits which would be idiotic of me to ever use them again. I guess it's an $80 dollar lesson to always check if there is a way to contact companies before I use their service.

This is by far the worst food delivery company I have even encountered

This company sucks!!!
I have some points offer issues with one of my order with this shitty company and have reached out to their live chat support three times, only to be given conflicting and misleading information, wasting my time and effort. First 2 staff there said I am qualified for getting the points but then because my reward storage is full (I mean which company will limit the reward storage up to $40 only). Then the third one said I am not qualified for the offer and so my $25 (in terms of points) gone. Sent a complaint to the support team email but no feedback! They just don’t care about the customers. SO EVERYONE PLEASE STOP USING THIS COMPANY

The absolute worst!

I have had poor experiences with other food delivery services, i.e. Uber, Doordash, but nothing like with Skip. I can order from a fast food restaurant 2km from my home and my order will still not have arrived an hour and half later. The big difference is customer support, Skip and none, as in zero! The line is always the same, regardless of the issue, order not receive, wrong order, order took hours to arrive... sorry, there is nothing we can do (in other words to bad for you). I have deactivated my account as they don't' deserve any more chances.

Worst Customer Service - Skip the Dishes

My order today, July 23, 2025 (Order #706790984) for a 10-piece chicken and 3-pie combo ($61.25), arrived missing the 3 pies. When I contacted customer support to resolve this, I provided comprehensive evidence: screenshots of your menu clearly showing the 10-piece chicken with 3 pies for $61.25, my receipt for the $61.25 charge, and a photo of the delivered items.
However, Customer Service Representative refused to acknowledge my proof. She insisted that I only ordered 10 pieces of chicken (which your menu prices at $49.99) and even denied the existence of a 10-piece chicken with 3 pies combo at the price I paid ($61.25). Her response was deeply unhelpful, marked by sarcasm and a dismissive attitude. It is illogical to suggest I paid $61.25 for an item listed at $49.99. This was an exceptionally poor display of customer service, characterized by blame and disrespect instead of problem-solving and an apology. Her response was dismissive and disrespectful. She even told me I only paid 57.17. I sent her again my receipt which showed I have $15 off and free delivery thats why my total came up to 57.17 with the tip. Although skip the dishes sent the refund for the missing items and Lizel was apologetic afterwards, her sarcasm was still there which tells me she is not in fact apologetic. In the end, i cancelled my skip+ membership and deleted skip app on my phone. I never experienced this kind of disrespect and sarcasm from doordash and uber eats.

SkipTheDishes puts customers at a…

SkipTheDishes puts customers at a serious disadvantage — it’s time for proper legal regulation of companies like this.

When you order through SkipTheDishes, you lose the ability to deal directly with the restaurant. Even when the restaurant admits fault and supports a refund — as was the case with Shawarma Passion in Calgary — SkipTheDishes can simply refuse, leaving customers with no clear way to get their money back. Their system creates a barrier between the customer and the restaurant, making Skip the sole gatekeeper for dispute resolution, even when they are not acting in good faith.

Skip claims responsibility only for delivery, yet controls the entire transaction and blocks customers from resolving issues directly with restaurants. This is fundamentally unfair. Customers should not lose their consumer rights just because they use a delivery app.

People need to think twice before using these platforms. Without clear legal protections and accountability, consumers risk losing money and having no effective recourse when problems arise.

Because of this, I am currently taking SkipTheDishes to Small Claims Court to seek redress for my case.

Provincial governments must step in and establish clear legislation defining the responsibilities of third-party platforms like Skip, Uber Eats, and DoorDash. There should be legal requirements for transparency, accountability, and fair dispute resolution — including the right for consumers to deal directly with restaurants rather than being trapped in the app’s closed system.

Until such regulations exist, customers remain vulnerable, and platforms like Skip will continue to profit while avoiding responsibility.

Extremely disappointed

Extremely disappointed. Ordered from a restaurant, ordered two soups. When the delivery came, they left at the porch when we grabbed it. We noticed there was only one soup. We called the store and they said because it was done through skip we needed to contact them. Contacted and they said they could not provide a refund to enter to read their policies. So I reached out to someone via chat and they said that they would investigate and get back to me in 24 hours. 24 hours goes by and I’m trying to chat and it won’t work, so I send an email to the support email I received from them. It’s now been five days and I haven’t heard anything. It looks like I won’t be getting my money back, we didn’t get the food and I’m never using Skip the dishes ever again. Actually a garbage service. No one is held accountable, there was no picture from the driver, confirming that only one soup was delivered. The store says they can’t do anything because it’s through Skip the dishes and skip the dishes is not taking any type of responsibility. What an absolute joke.

Missing items from kfc order.

Missing items from kfc order.. Got the complete run around on getting refund from skip. They only refund you what it would cost them (skip) not what it would cost you to reorder it yourself on “their” app with all the price increase markup and tax and tip. I ended going in the hole on reordering the bloody missing items.. because skip is crooked it how they do business.. awful customer service on refunds and dealing with missing items.. awful .. Skip should be ashamed for screwing over their customers

Don’t expect customer service from Skip

I placed an order for Halibut House in Sarnia through Skip. Half of the order didn’t come - no fries, buns or coleslaw. The restaurant told me they couldn’t help. I’d have to contact Skip and Skip told me they can’t refund any of my order, that I need to read their policies. It’s great to know that no one is to be held accountable in these situations. Neither the restaurant nor Skip offered to have the missing items from our order delivered to us. I think I’m more shocked than anything else - at the lack of customer service and lack of accountability. This meal was over $100 for two people and the two pieces of fish that came were the flattest, saddest things I’ve ever seen and the fried mushrooms were the worst I’ve ever had. That’s the restaurant’s fault and according to the restaurant the missing food is Skip’s fault because they picked up two orders at once and must’ve given the rest of our order to the other people. So disappointing!!! One extremely unsatisfied customer :(

Contacted driver.....no response, contacted customer service, refunded the wrong order. After I told them about the mistake they took the refund and told me I requested to many refunds.
I literally opened the account yesterday, this was my second order. STAY AWAY FROM SKIP THE DISHES!
