I cannot believe how awful the customer…

I cannot believe how awful the customer service is, and how little responsibility SKLUM shows to make the products reach destination. They have an agreement with a delivery company - so trying to find out where the shipment is is like playing hide and seek, nobody knows, nobody takes responsibility.

I had been waiting for my shipment (a three sits sofa, a lamp and a rug) for almost one month. Nothing arrived. No news from anyone. I had to contact the logistics company to only see that 1)first call- they had no idea where my shipment was, 2)second call - still did not find the shipment, 3) thrid call - we arrange a date of delivery, 4) fourth call (date of delivery) - after calling them, they tell me it won't happen today. Apparently, the material was damaged. They are going to raise an incidence with SKLUM

On top of it all - they had packed everything as a single package: 120 Kg all together. And they do not offer full delivery service, meaning that they won't take the products to your flat and you'll have to arrange for yourself brining them up from the front building door to your own house. Sklum has a specific arrangement with the delivery service that they absolutely won't offer that service.

Very disappointing, very disconsiderate - lots of energy and time consumed by the customer for absolutely nothing.

Sklum should be called Scam!

Sklum should be called Scam!

I got charged £69 for delivery. That is a lot, so I expected it would at least be fast.

It said 7/8 days till shipping.

Order placed on: 2021-09-23
Shipped on: 2021-10-14 (15 business days later!!)
Arrived on: 2021-10-22 - almost a month after ordering

Unfortunately the boxes we damaged, and one of the products too. A sofa cushion It looked as though it had been deliberately cut into with a knife deliberately.

I raised an incident instantly online only to be told that the issue is with the delivery company and that I will have to wait for a claim to be answered by them.

Sklum take no ownership of this issue. Their customer service are unhelpful. They Simply say there is nothing they can do and that they have followed the right process.

That is just not up to today's standard for customer service.

I wont order from them again.

Terrible experience and won't use Sklum again - still waiting for our issue to be resolved. Wrong product arrived months ago, and Sklum have still not arranged a courier to collect this (claim there's a delay due to Brexit). It's a huge box that has been sitting in our living room, and we've been calling repeatedly to chase for it to be collected. We've not been offered any refund of at least the postage cost for the wrong item (£50!), and they've done nothing to update us on when they will collect. To summarise, not only have we not ended up with the item we paid for, but we've ended up with the extra burden of having a giant box of something we never asked for in our small living room. Terrible experience and won't use Sklum again.

If I could give zero star I would

If I could give zero star I would. Absolutely terrible customer service and after sales experience except for the last agent who advised for me to request for a refund.

Spent a fortune for a mirror and shipping (almost half of product cost), many weeks later still did not receive my order. I had to reach out to the agent to ask for status of my order which she then advised for me to allocate my preferred delivery date. Few days after my selected date, still no delivery. No one checked in to see if I received my order. Really terrible after sales experience. Gave a feedback that it's misleading that they shout out "Ships in 7/8 days". This just means that they send out in within this period, it does not mean you will receive it in that period. One of the agents even threw a sarcastic reply which I truly don't appreciate.

Also agent told me that they highlighted to DHL on the delay and was pending reply from them (this is after 2 days). Absolute lies because I wrote in to DHL and had a reply within the day.

This brand is definitely not worth your money.

DO NOT SHOP HERE!!

My item arrived damaged, I started the return procedure in June and still don't have a replacement!! This company is an absolute scam, please don't be tempted by their pretty pictures and just stick with good old IKEA!!!

Expensive mistake

It is a shame I have to write this. All is good with this company until it isn't. I bought a large mirror. Leaned it against the wall like they do on their website. 30 seconds later the frame cracked it all came crashing down. No refund because I can't prove I did not hang it up, and according to them it broke after it fell. I told them if they take it back they can see i never hung it up, hence they would see my proof. They refused to take it further. No more discussion case was closed. The fact that a child, or anyone standing there, could have been seriously injured by the mirror crashing down was of no interest to them, they did not even acknowledge me bringing this to their attention. If you buy be prepared to loose money if something goes wrong because there is zero trust from them to you, and the policy says it's all your fault whatever happens. Such a disappointing experience.

They packaged faulty goods and sent it for nearly £80.00 p & p

I bought two Pex Shelves from Sklum for £134.95 each. The goods were packaged extremely well and shipped for a total of £79.99. Upon receipt I opened one of the Pex shelf systems and found that it was damaged - but not because of the shipping. It had very obviously been packed by the supplier at source despite the damage - which was obvious to the eye. Chipped paint work and then some of it had been badly repainted! Of course, they have a a get out clause of 48 hours if you don't complain within that time...terrible customer service. I urge you, even if you think the price is reasonable, don't buy off of this Spanish company. How can you dispatch something when it's obvious to the eye that it is faulty? How dare you?

"Easy Returns" they say - NOT ALLOWED TO RETURN - BUYER BEWARE

I wish I had read these reviews first before spending close to 400€ on furniture I was so excited to receive. When it arrived, I wanted to be sure the products worked for their function and purpose, and unfortunately, they did not work for me, so I needed to return them. Because they were out of their box, and assembled (come on furniture how else will you see if it works!?) I am not allowed to return anything, even considering they were outside their box for a few minutes. Completely disheartened and now stuck with furniture that does not work for me! Shocking service, no care, and so little thought for the customer. What does an e-commerce store expect. People - practise your ability to imagine products without removing them from your box, or face no ability to return. If I could give 0 I would.

Worst purchase of my life (so far...)

I ordered an outdoor table early June, to enjoy the summer time.
Initial delivery date = end of June.
Today (20th of July) = no deliveries yet and still no communication from SKLUM with a new delivery date
Meanwhile the price of the table decreased by 10€ on their website.
And of course 100% paid upfront early June.
Not reachable from there French contact number (01 70 61 48 14)
It seems the only way to get an answer from SKUM is to openly shame them on Trustpilot, which I'm doing

Update on the 28 July:

So... Sklum france's sale administration came back to me by email (as their phone number is still phony) to refuse to reimburse me those 10 €.

I did not like that, made some additional search on this spanish company and found many after sales complaints on the "UFC Que Choisir" website.

I wrote back to demand a cancellation of my order PRNJJWDPE last Friday (23th of July)
And... tadaam on the next Monday (26th of July), I received an email saying my order is in preparation in their warehouse. Funny timing isn't it ?
So I contact again Sklum france's sale administration about the fact the order hasn't been dispatch yet, and they still refused to cancel it, and said the only way to get reimbursed is now to receive it, refuse the package, and pay back the return fees (61 €, very cheap).

So now I'm stuck with the sale, and afraid about the table quality and after sales relation.

BTW @ SKLUM Team I made a email at the DGCCRF about all this, hoping this will force you to improve your sales administration and commercial practices on day.

Third edit on August 5th:

I received the table.
Made in China.
Assembling uneasy and hazardous.
Low quality as the "welding" (very very lite ones) from one of the foot of the table broke while assembling. I had to place some rivets to strengthen...

Definitely not recommended, very bad purchase overall

Where is my couch?

This unfortunately is the second negative review I have had to leave as the issue is still not resolved.

I placed my order for a 2 Seater Linen and Fabric Sofa Aktic - Colour : Yellow Curry. on the 25/03/21, I received a green 3 seater couch. Sklum was informed and I was told they would be in touch regarding the collection of the green couch. I found out from a phone call to their customer team that they would not send me the couch I ordered until the green one was collected. I had to store and keep safe this couch until collection which I was not happy about and caused great stress to me and my family which I informed them of. I complained about to this to the team and was offered 10% of my next order with them as compensation for storing their couch. I was told there was issues with the courier and a delay in invoices which was impacting the collection of this couch.

I continued to ring and request that the couch I paid for be sent without delay but they refused to send the couch I ordered until the green one was collected. I myself had to contact the delivery company in relation to collection date and time. I was told my couch would be dispatched once the green one was collected. After the couch was collected, I again had no update as to the status of this and when I spoke to a member of their team, I was informed that they would not dispatch the couch I ordered until the courier had confirmed with Sklum of the collection. I highlighted that this has nothing to do me with me and I had paid for goods and not received them. I continued to ring them each week if not more than once a week for updates as to where my couch I ordered was. I again was told the same thing, that until the courier had confirmed collection, it would not be dispatched.

I emailed Wellington, the supervisor and asked for the issue to be raised to senior management in relation to this.
I received a response stating 'Our team have contacted the courier service responsible for the collection, who have informed us that there have been long delays at UK customs and until the return leaves the UK and we receive this confirmation, we are unable to move the process forward. From both parties; our team at SKLUM and the courier service, apologise for this delay.'.
I pointed out that this is nothing to do with me nor does it fall under 'customer return policy' as I am not returning goods I paid for. I did not request the couch they sent and should not be involved in issues they have surrounding that.
I have rung them 25 times in total in relation to this (dates and times for each call noted) which has taken approx 2.5 hours of my time chasing them for their mistake. I have asked to speak to Wellington the Supervisor (he will not speak to me) and emailed several times. I have spoken almost weekly with Tania, Ruby and Kelly (lovely girls who I have no issue with) who work on customer service for them and they seem powerless as to what they can do. I have paid for a couch, was sent the wrong one, have done everything to facilitate the safe storage of Sklums stock and they will not send me the item I have paid for.
They have taken full payment for my order and will not send me my couch.

This is robbery. I should not be held to ransom based on their mistake.

TERRIBLE COMPANY - PLEASE AVOID

I buy a lot of products online and this is by far the WORST company I have ever dealt with. I ordered 3 items from their website. Shipping (very expensive!) was supposed to take 48-72 hours, what a joke. Ordered on June 10th and only just received one of the items yesterday ( 14th July) and it was damaged!! I immediately started the overcomplicated returns procedure within hours of discovering the damage. I also cancelled the other 2 items which were supposed to have shipped on July 2nd, I do not want them if this is the quality of the products they sell.
Looking at all the reviews online (i wish i'd read them beforehand!) it is incredible how a company like this is still allowed to continue operating! If you value your money and mental health, DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! I will update when I have received a response regarding the return. Based on experience my expectations are very low. If there is not resolution within a reasonable timeframe I will be taking legal action against the company.

THE WORST SERVICE

THE WORST SERVICE. The company takes no responsibility for the deliver of the order. I ordered 2 pieces from sklum and kept tracking it on the website. After 3 weeks of the order, the tracking system on the transportation company said 'closed for holidays'. I tried to contact sklum multiple times but lost patience after 5-7 minutes of no answer. Finally I get through to them and I am informed that they will investigate and contact me in the same day. Two days pass and no contact and I try to call again. This time I'm informed that the transportation company couldn't contact me and that the package was being sent back to Sklum. Hence, I'd be reimbursed but not on the shipping costs. I have no missed calls, no messages, no emails, my building has a doorman and Sklum never tried to contact me. They have no interest in solving a problem after they've made the sell. The only way to contact them is by phone (no email and the chat service on the website doesn't work). Objects look good, quality is ok for the price but service makes the whole experience miserable. I don't recommend at all. Maison du monde, la redoute, ikea, anything is more reliable.

The worst!!!!!

The worst!!!!!! They send me a table who was broken in different points, wet , full of spider nets and two chairs, one of them also broken (wood pieces felt apart)... not a bad percentage. They left the heavy and big pieces in front of the door, i live on the fourth floor. So I had to find somebody. Then once I did the whole job i discovered it was for nothing. The nightmare started. 4 weeks I had to store the monstrous packages in my small apartment. I had to write complaints on facebook and pilot.com till somebody finally got back to me. Nevertheless it took more than 2 weeks to fix an apointment for the packages to be picked up. But the nightmare was finished yet. Last joke: they will pick up the heavy packages only from the street. So how, by myself, can I carry 45kg of stuff from the fourth to the street? I am beyond speechless......

Rip off merchants

Rip off merchants.
Diabolical company
Bought a sofa which has turned up wrong! AND RUPPED!

Reported to after sales team who’ve basically told us it’s our own fault!

I’m now €450 out of pocket and have a sofa we can’t use.

Tried contacting them via Facebook and now they’ve BLOCKED ME!!!!!!!
HOW VERY PROFESSIONAL

In this current climate and loosing jobs I am absolutely distraught

Avoid at all costs.

Avoid at all costs. They have ZERO after sales service. Returns not picked up AFTER FIVE MONTHS. As other reviews show (see the main Trustpilot reviews) they aren’t even delivering in many cases...and they have your money.
Contact them? A joke. Customer service system appears to be operating off a mobile phone.
Save yourself the bother and buy elsewhere. I wish I had.
