Absolute disaster moving to sky. No aervice for the past week. Never posted out a modem for when technician was due to install broadband n 3 days after speaking to 3 different customer services reps that werent great iv still no modem. No wifi for work and kids on midterm. Dont move over it to them
Difficult cancellation, repetitive chat, and unexpected extra month charge
I was a Sky Broadband and TV customer for a year. Broadband performance was generally fine, but the TV service and user experience were often poor and unreliable.
As my contract ended, I tried to downgrade to save costs. I couldn’t find clear options for existing customers and it was very hard to reach support. On 30 October 2025, I spent over 90 minutes on chat trying to cancel. Despite repeatedly asking to cancel and return equipment, I was first offered a new deal and then sent long, scripted messages that didn’t progress my request. This made the process feel needlessly difficult.
I have since received an email confirming cancellation and the equipment return process, which I appreciate. However, I’m disappointed to be charged for another month after ceasing use on 22 October 2025, and I’ve asked for a review of the final bill.
Overall, a frustrating and difficult experience. Clearer downgrade options for existing customers and a more efficient cancellation process would make a big difference.

Can't order a phone to through Sky mobile.
Attempted to order an iPhone 16 on three occasions and order is cancelled after signing the credit agreement each time. Was told this is a technical issue on the part of Sky but they can't fix it. Credit checks cleared, never missed a payment with Sky for 18 years.
Why advertise this service if the company cannot fulfill the orders?Reading other reviews here it seems a lot of people have had the same issue.

I finished with skky 2 months ago as broadband was very slow, it was my proper vontract end time. I had overpayment but still did not get 45 e back . Called and messaged about 6 times. You know when you re eally over polite but do everything not to sort an issue? Thats how they always are. Getting a refund- its a task impossible, there are millions obstacles its just unreal. Ihave pure telecome now and my god how simple things can be if someine truly wants them to be. Sky was the worst service i ever experienced.

I applied for a sky mobile phone and was told my credit rating was not good enough but if I paid a deposit of 48€ I could have the phone. I paid the deposit but the next day I got an email saying my order had been cancelled, two weeks later I'm still waiting for my deposit back.

Would love to give a -10 Singed up for sky mobile on 8th October and I've had no service since. Looking to transfer my number. I CAN'T get any help whatsoever. Now I would like to cancel and get my money back. Who do I call "Ghostbusters" ... I would have more of a chance there.
Refund not returned when promised
Took money out of my account after cancellation date. Rang up and was told 3-5 days, they passed no sign of the money. Rang again and was told refund would be in my account on the next billing date, that has now passed and still no sign of money so rang again and was told it wasn't even processed yet and it'll be a further 3-5 days.
Absolutely shocking company to deal with, with customer service operators who just read off a script and can't help you with anything not mentioned on it.
How can a company take unauthorized payments and then keep the money well over a month without refunding. It's a joke.
Stay well clear of sky unless you never want to cancel them.
Also they're broadband was very sketchy and would drop considerably during peak times throughout the day, never achieved the speeds I was promised.

Absolute worst customer experience I’ve ever experienced with any company. I ordered iPhone 17 in person with the guy from the branch.. I was promised deep blue colour and I was promised next day delivery.. I signed contracts etc and paid deposit. They got the wrong colour… told me I’d be waiting 4+ weeks and then the same guy told me he cannot help me and ive to ring them… so I did. They cancelled me order… kept my money and demanded I pay another deposit of 330€ for the second order and promised me a refund… which I didn’t get until 14 days later! In total I paid 660€ that day… absolute crazy.
Sky took illegal action
Sky took illegal action against my order. After me waiting 3 weeks for my approved order of iPhone 17 pro max, They rejected it without any notice due to technical issue. Absolute nonsense. I had to contact them to aknowledge that. This action is against the Consumer rights act 2022, therefore this action is absolutely illegal. They advised me to make another order, which would mean that I would have to wait for ma iPhone ordered on 25/09/2025 longer than people who ordered it for instance on 05/10/2025 or even later. Absolutely not fair and if they won’t bring back my order I will write a complain against them to customer protection commission and I advice everyone else, who is their victim to do the same.

Contract was up with 3 Ireland, decided to go with Sky as the monthly payments were €20 less than 3, went through the entire process which in its self was a pain the system wasn’t picking up my card details took the agent calling me back twice to get it to go through. Everything was fine I was happy with my bargain plan & new phone than boom 3 hours later an email to say they had cancelled the plan no explanation, I called got through to a man with little to no English still no explanation, I’ve been a Sky Tv & broadband customer for 13 years my bills are always paid, was a 3 mobile customer for 2 years no issues a Vodafone customer before that never had an issues. Was made to feel like my credit rating was bad which it’s not. Very disappointing service and according to these reviews I’m glad I dodged that bullet apparently the reception is awful and no roaming even tho they claim you do.

I ordered a iPhone 17 3 or 4 weeks ago, this order has been cancelled 4 times by Sky and I have been asked to reorder. Today I had a call I thought was a scam and my phone had been cancelled yet again. Sky is totally useless, they have bogged up the iPhone 17 story so badly. This is just skirting over the whole issue I have had with them, their left hand doesn’t know what the right is doing. Total rubbish to be honest, really have no words to describe the really bad and inefficient service.

It's worth noting people if you have an esim and your phone is lost, stolen or damaged you will be left without a carrier service as they cannot activate a new esim on your new mobile. They will only send you a replacement sim in the post which takes up to three days. The customer service lady had no idea how to help me. She was completely baffled and this it seems is the only solution.
I signed a contract for €12 per month and then overcharged for months.
The reception is not great. It is none existent in Fanore, Clare.

If I could give them minus stars I would. Absolutely shocking, not sure my blood pressure has returned to normal after trying to deal with them this week. We were trying to set up as new customers. From the start it has been an ordeal. At the point of sale we explained we do not have a phone point in the house (it's an old house) but did have a phone line running up to it. Reassured that is no problem. Lies. We paid for a TV engineer and a Telecoms engineer arrival. Got a load of emails to set up the account. From this point it all goes down hill.
The account wouldn't work and needed to phone sky for the first time... This took around 40mins as their wait times are awful!!!!
Next DPD contacted us as sky had failed to pass out address to them to deliver the router so needed to call them and sort that.
We finally got access to our on line account and could see only a TV engineer was assigned with no Telecoms engineer. Spent another hour on the phone holding before getting through to someone who frankly has no idea what day of the week it was never mind how to request an engineer or understand the fact we don't have a phone socket in the house. They kept repeating we will active the broadband on x date and you plug it in and it will work. Plug it where ???
They then told us we needed to wait for the internet to become active on the line before we could request an engineer and to call back tomorrow.......
At this point we were getting frustrated as they close at 7 so we were having to take time off work to ring them during the day.
We tried their so called watsapp service to talk to someone. 22 hours later before someone messaged back and again going in circles and mainly AI that is messaging you with standard frustrating messages and not understanding.
The next day we phoned and was 1 hour waiting before someone answered. Again no clue on what to do or how to help. They tried phoning someone and had us on hold for another 30 mins. To then tell us she can't get through and to call back. At this point we told them to cancel.
We were then put through to cancellations and had to go through the whole thing again. Where again she was telling us to call back tomorrow. We refused. Said to cancel it all. She said she would but only cancelled the broadband.
We had to call again !!!! To cancel the TV with the same wait and going around in circles. Eventually got the TV cancelled and they have had the cheek to issue us with a bill when we received zero service from them and have kept the money we paid for the 2 engineers which never arrived and in 1 case was never set up.
On top of that we are down phone credit plus the fees for the engineers. Over 100 euro and nothing got from sky besides high blood pressure.
We still have their router and they claim they will send a box for it. Judging by how it all has gone so far I very spectial and will probably try charge us again.

Very poor communication skills from their staff,as odd as hell, no patience, I switched from eir broad band 2 weeks ago for a change and you would want patience of a saint waiting for tv wfy ruter come on!! so slow , still waiting on a sim card for my sons phone ,they posted other items the following day after ringing for prices so i guess my son sim card not a priority now that iv signed up an agreement,I felt

Unable to get anyone to change an engineer appointment.
I opened a new account this week and a broadband engineer has been scheduled for the 28th, I realised that I cannot make that date (completely my own fault and not Sky's) so have been looking to reschedule this appointment since midday today, it is now 17:30.
The appointment email advised that to reschedule the booking I just needed to go to My Account, find the booking and arrange a new one there.
WRONG.
Doing that takes me to a page saying "You need to contact us to reschedule this type of visit.
Please use the details below to contact us"
But there were no details below!?!?
I tried their live chat but an AI bot just keeps telling me to "reschedule through My Account" then asks have it resolved the issue then when I say "no", it advises me to "reschedule through My Account"
There is no email address, I found a whatsapp number via Reddit but that message hasn't been read, nevermind replied to, nor has my DM on X, I called the sales phone number (the only number available to the public) and after being on hold for FORTY minutes, I was hung up on by an agent.
Issues on getting a refund.
Paid over 300€ upfront for a mobile, only to identification in sky app to fail, was not told only ROI and UK passports are acceptable, I have an EU one. Over 2 weeks later, still waiting for a refund. Avoid like a plague. Edit 13.10 Still no refund and they are not answering emails. They actually stole my money.

I paid upfront online for a phone through Sky Mobile, only to have the order cancelled with no explanation. When I called customer service, I was told they didn’t know why the cancellation happened, so I placed the order again – paying the full amount upfront for a second time. Again, the order was cancelled for no clear reason.
It’s now been over 20 days, and I’ve still not received any refund for either transaction. The exact same issue happened with my partner’s account – two upfront payments, two cancelled orders, and no refunds.
We’ve called customer service multiple times, and each time we’ve been promised that the refund is being processed. But nothing has come through. It’s the same story every time, with no resolution.
I’ve since seen that this isn’t an isolated incident – many other users are reporting the same issue with Sky Mobile. I only wish I’d checked Trustpilot reviews before handing over any money.
This experience has been incredibly frustrating, and I would strongly caution others to think twice before ordering through Sky Mobile – especially if you’re expected to pay upfront
