Shocking responses from the car finance claim department. Claim was open in 2025 and still waiting on a response. When I emailed for an update, response one was :
Good afternoon,
Thank you for your email.
Your personalised update is due this week. If this has not reached you, please ensure that you check your spam/junk folder for the email and add email addres XXX.uk to your contacts.
I then replied, stating I have not received an update, to which i got the following response :
Good afternoon,
All personalised updates have now been sent out. If your update has not reached you, please ensure that you check your spam/junk folder for the email and add email address XXX to your contacts.
You would think me saying I have not received it would be sufficient for details to be resent.

Excellent service from Linda Taher I am incredibly happy with the service I received. My claim was successful despite facing some pushback from the third party. A huge thank you to my handler, Linda Taher, who did a fantastic job managing everything. Highly recommend!

Don’t use this Solicitor to fight your PCP claim
I gave them all my finance agreements details
It transpires they only took forward the oldest finance agreement and then told me that it was too old!
Despite my emails to them requesting they proceed with the others, they have totally ignored me
Are you too busy to help me
Certainly your claim that you will take forward all finance agreements in my case, was not adhered to

In the handling of my car crash compensation claim I would like to say that it was Haley Reeves who led the claims process with enormous diligence and persistence which resulted in precisely the compensation for which Slater and Gordon had petitioned against a recalcitrant international corporate insurers. This was a wonderful result.
Haley's advice to me was at all times supportive, clear and direct. Seriously impressive.

I paid Slater & Gordon £1,000 on account for a professional merit’s assessment of my employment case. What I received from solicitor Sally Weare was a profoundly flawed, inaccurate, and completely unreliable review that completely missed or misstated the core material facts of my case.
In her assessment, Ms. Weare explicitly claimed she was "not provided with any grievance documentation," failed to identify protected acts for victimisation, and incorrectly stated that I had not made a second application for flexible working. In reality, I had provided a comprehensive timeline and bundle detailing a second statutory flexible working request, a formal grievance a grievance outcome, and a subsequent appeal outcome. Critical post-January 2025 detriments, including unlawful attendance pressure, an inappropriate "infertility" comment by management, and a restrictive childcare-confirmation requirement, were completely overlooked.
Because of this lazy, incomplete evidence-reviewing, Ms. Weare wrongly concluded that my case had "no merit" for flexible working, sex discrimination, or victimisation. Had I followed her catastrophic advice, I would have walked away and lost my rights.
Fortunately, I took my exact bundle to an alternative firm of solicitors who actually bothered to read the documents. They identified four distinct, viable tribunal claims. Proving just how wrong Sally Weare and Slater & Gordon were, the Employment Tribunal has formally accepted all four of my claims and a preliminary hearing is now scheduled.
To make matters worse, Slater & Gordon’s customer care has been appalling. Despite being presented with objective proof that their legal advice was completely wrong and procedurally deficient, they have refused to take accountability. Instead, they are actively pursuing me for a remaining balance of £253, even threatening me with penalty charges while the matter is being escalated to the Legal Ombudsman.
They are happy to demand money for a service they failed to actually perform. If you want a diligent, thorough legal analysis from a firm that reads the evidence you pay them to review, do not trust Slater & Gordon or Sally Weare.
