This company totally neglected their duty to provide safe accommodation.

Stayed in a property managed by Sleepaways, for a week over Christmas in Gran Canaria. This company is the absolute worst property management/holiday rental I have ever dealt with.
It was a shared accommodation with private rooms. On the first night, another couple staying there begin fighting with each other and caused damage to the property. Police were called and they were arrested. Shockingly, they were allowed to return the next day as if nothing happened. Not only had these violent people been aggressive and threatening to the other guests, but they continued to be disruptive as soon as they returned. Throughout all of this I was constantly messaging Sleepaways asking for their help and to have the people removed. The responses were slow and sometimes outright ignored.
I repeatedly emphasised the seriousness of the situation that these unstable guests were intimidating us all and needed to be removed immediately. All I got was a generic 'we are sorry for the inconvenience' type of response.
I asked to be provided alternative accommodation or a refund which was refused. The whole week was spent in fear of being physically assaulted while in the property, and Sleepaways completely failed their duty to provide a safe place to stay by refusing to remove them.
These guests were eventually arrested a second time by the police towards the end of the week, and Sleepaways claimed in wasn't in their power to have them removed.
If anyone reading this is considering booking a holiday through this company, I'd advise you to avoid them at all costs and go elsewhere.

At least six undisclosed surveillance devices in the vacation rental

There were at least six undisclosed surveillance devices in my vacation rental.

The rental is managed by Sleepaways Ltd., which also provided the contract. It is owned by a Spanish-German woman, and I booked it through Booking.com.

After I sent photographic evidence of the surveillance devices to all involved parties, Booking.com acknowledged a breach of their terms and conditions, urged me to go to the police, initiated a security investigation, closed the availability of the property on their platform, and refunded the booking fee. Sleepaways Ltd was sympathetic on the phone but declined my cancellation requests by first denying the existence of the surveillance devices, then claiming they had been switched off during my stay, and later suggesting that I may put a blanket over them.

Even if these devices were disconnected, a guest could not tell if it was true and would be forced to trust the person who is controlling them. I checked out after the incident. Sleepaways declined to refund the remaining 11 nights, leaving me with a 1600 € loss and the legitimate fear of being spied on.

Peaceful and relax days

That was very nice stay with quiet and peaceful atmosphere. The owner was charmy and nice and my husband and him were speaking about the house, the agricultura. The trees were well cared. I really feel peaceful and relax in the middle of the nature.

The apartment with a great view

The apartment was nice, clean, modern with a great view. It’s great only if you plan to rent a car otherwise the distances from everything ( supermarkets, restaurants, beaches) are something to consider.

Modern apartment with great view

Modern apartment with great view, where you can enjoy sunset. The property located on the hill.It has 2 bathrooms, its ideal for family stay. There is underground parking with fixed place for your car. Host is very friendly and eager to help. We stayed for 1 week (2 adults+2kids). Recommended.

We booked a lovely house on Gran…

We booked a lovely house on Gran Canaria,which was managed by SleepAways.The company communicated well with us, and online check in made arrival very easy.
The property we rented was spacious and tastefully decorated. Overall a very positive experience all round!

Great and nice place to stay on Tenerife

The appartment was very nice and clean. Nice garden where you can relax, swimmingpool just 100 metres walk. High way to see Tenerrife is only 2 minutes ride. And the center and the beach of Los Christianos are only 3 or 4 minutes ride. A great location when you stay on Tenerife

Terrible stay at a very rude host.

This is our experience with host "Maria Therese" in Las Palmas
1) In the description of the room it is said to have a private bathroom. Nothing can be further from the truth. We had to share the bathroom with 4 other people. In the apartment there are 4 bedroom of which only one has a private bathroom. Of the 4 other people utilizing the shared bathroom one of them often occupied it for lengthy time leaving the rest of us waiting.
The advertised room is still precented as having a private bathroom.
We checked in in the later half of September. When pointing out that the bathroom seems not to be private and that a private bathroom was one of the key factors for choosing their establishment they said that they would get back later in October to try to get us another room. This never happen.
2) The electric outlet under the mirror in the bathroom were uncovered presenting a serious hazard.
3) When we booked the room it was presented with a terrace/balcony. From the pictures of the room you get the impression that there are doors which can be opened. There are no such doors, only a window. i.e. the picture is false. They are from a different room or has been manipulated. After I asked how you would access the terrace and got the answer that there were none it was removed from the ad.
4) In the kitchen the washing machine could only be set to 60 degrees. The kettle never shut it self off. There was lacking cutlery and every frying pan was buckled so we had to buy a new onc to use ourself.
5) The Nuki app seldom worked. They had to send us new codes numerous times.
6) As we late October realized that there would be no solution with the “private bathroom” I wrote to the host trying to negotiate the departure date but got nowhere. The host referred to AirBnb and they referred back to the host.
I imagine the host was in the wrong doing here.
7) The first couple who stayed next to our room were considerate and we had no trouble with them.
8) After they had left another couple from one of the other rooms moved over to this room next to ours.
9) The TV in that room was mounted on the wall between the rooms and when it is on transfer the sound into our room.
10) Around 4 AM the neighbour started the TV and soon after I went and knocked on their door asking politely ”Please, could you turn off the TV. We can't sleep.
11) The male went ”bananas”, yelling and shouting. He never opened the door but after a while it got quiet and we where able to get to sleep.
12) Sane thing thing happened 2 nights later when they had the TV on until 1 AM. When we had had enough I went out and knocked on their door. He didn't dare open the door this time either but was yelling and screaming.
13) I then went back to our room and heard that the male rushed out and up to the host.
14) He was probably acquainted with the host and complained to her/him.
15) At this point we wanted to get out at any cost so we cancelled the booking. We started feeling unsecure.
16) Unaware at the time that if you cancel, even if you had payed for another 30 days, you need to leave the room immediately we went into town the next day.
17) Totally unknowing that the host wanted to kick us out they gathered our belongings and just as they were about to place it outside we came back to the apartment.
18) They didn't even want to let us check that nothing was left in the room.
19) We pushed ourselves into the room and found my wife's wallet which they had moved and placed in the wardrobe. Did they try to steal it ?
20) While in the the room I phoned AirBnb support to try and sort the situation out while one of ”the hosts” continuously was yelling at me and threatening to call the police, obviously trying to interrupt me so I should have difficulty talking to AirBnb.
21) We never refused to move out. We were totally calm with perhaps the exception when I told the yelling person to shut up so I could talk to Airnb support.

22) I think I know why the host behaved as he/she did.
23) I see the behaviour of the host as pure retaliation when we were asking for a terrace and a private bathroom clearly stated in the ad.
24) When we then also wanted it to be quiet during the night and demanded the neighbour who where harassing us with having the TV sound disturbing our sleep they took the opportunity to throw us out when we cancelled the booking.
25) They didn't even give us the time to search for a new accommodation. I had to sit on the pavement to do that.
26) It comes down to pure revenge as I see it.
27) The cleaning lady who happened to be present was clearly embarrassed and made it clear that she had nothing to do with the situation.
28) Some of the messages translated from spanish to Swedish sent by the host did not make sense so I asked them to be translated to English instead as I suspect the translation between these languages to be far better. This was ignored by the host who continued translating to Swedish.

Had a wonderful time at the hotel

Had a wonderful time at the hotel. The room had everything you could need, whole kitchen with appliances, ironing board, fridge freezer etc. There was a kitchen- living room, 2 bedrooms, bathroom and large terrace/balcony. Bed was comfortable, and check in was really easy!

Would recommend highly!
