"To Slurp or not to Slurp, that is the question,
Whether ’tis nobler for my wallet to suffer
The slings and arrows of supermarket plonk,
Or take arms against them — and Slurp something decent."
I discovered the online wine supplier Slurp several years ago and have nothing but praise for the choice and reasonable prices of their wines, the robust transit packaging, the speed of delivery, and the excellent corporate sales support should you ever need to contact them directly. My wife and I have enjoyed many of their bottles — toasty Reds, titillating Whites, and tasty Rosés — all first-class.
The verb 'to slurp' means to consume noisily. We try to be more cultured in our enjoyment of Slurp-supplied wines, but when family members or friends congregate at our place, civilisation tends to evaporate faster than an open bottle of Black Cottage Pinot Noir Rosé. To murder another Shakespeare line: "If Slurp wines be the catalyst for family gatherings, pour on - Macduff, Falstaff, and keeper of the corkscrew, Aunt Mavis!"
On line account not working. No friends and family discount and the order wasn’t processed for delivery … I had to chase
The usual , pleasant , professional assistance that I always get from Slurp , even delivered next morning .
Lovely prosecco at a fair price, delivered next day by DPD. I was impressed with the packaging. The box contained clever moulded inserts to cushion the bottles and keep them from smashing against each other.
I couldn’t make the order on line but I called and the assistant was very helpful and help me to do the order
Good choice of wine and relatively simple ordering and delivery prompt
Ordering was difficult but I eventually got there. Then everything ran smoothly.
Website was not working but ordered on phone. Great service, great wine.
The only issue I had was the fact that I wasn't informed that the order had been dispatched. Other than that, all good.
The website is a nightmare to use. I couldn’t sign in until I had ‘phoned Slurp. After completing my order, I couldn’t ‘check out’ and had to contact Slurp, the next day, to get a payment link. I couldn’t use my voucher, either.
Good priced bottle and quick delivery. Item arrived exactly as expected.
Bit of a frustrating experience as my 6-pack wine gift (ordered 11 Dec) didn't arrive until after Christmas due to an issue with the packaging, but my parents were happy with the wine (once they realised I had actually bought them a gift!).
