I chose to order from Smallable because…

I chose to order from Smallable because their shipping cost seemed reasonable. Unfortunately, when my package reached customs, I was expected to pay nearly three times more in additional fees, which completely changed the total cost of my order.

To their credit, customer service was friendly and took accountability when I emailed them. However, the lack of clear upfront communication about the true cost was very disappointing. I won’t be ordering again.

Received a Totally broken design lamp

I bought a Piet Hein Eek lamp, which is a ceramic piece and therefore very fragile. Unfortunately, it arrived completely broken. It wasn’t packed with any protective material and there were no “handle with care” stickers on the package. I don’t understand why such a high-end design piece would be shipped this way. It simply doesn’t make any sense to me. Since it was the last item available, I decided to keep it and try to repair the lamp.

You did great! Amazing product!
I was very dismayed to get my Trump Tariff call from the shipper, demanding an extra 30% ransom (tariff + handling of the tariff process by the shipper)

2 months later no delivery, no refund

Update on 2 March response. 9 March still no sign of refund and no response to emails. Avoid! I purchased a pair of trainers in December. All fine. Purchased another pair 5th January. Chased delivery numerous times. Assured each time by Smallable that they were investigating but never received an update. Requested a refund as no delivery. They agreed, but only for when delivery company found them. 2 months later nothing. No trainers, no refund.

I didn't love my experience

I just don't love the product, and I wish it was easier to return it. I also didn't realize it would be shipping from France and that I would have to pay duties on it at the time of ordering.
