AVOID at all costs

No warning of having to jump through numerous hoops for verification of account on sign up or before you make a deposit, once you make a deposit its whoosh, your account is left in limbo with you unable to have a bet or withdraw any funds that you have been conned into deposting because of this lengthy list of demands imposed on you to satisfy SMARKETS verification process.

Got on to the live chat and the agent couldnt be bothered, he just copied n pasted the list of demands into the chatbox and refused to answer any of questions, extremely unhelpful.

So now i will have to waste time and money on gathering the various documents required to get the account unlocked, something i have not had to do with other online bookmakers.

AVOID this company at all costs

only rarely use it as a back up exchange incase betfair goes down , interface is to hard as its only match odds showing , goal markets you got to click on each game then scroll for goal market , then click add to favourites , where as betfair you can just get them all up in one click , shame rarely

Still questions to be answered

Having used all the betting exchanges, I have a few questions about Smarkets.
1- Am I betting against a market maker or another punter?
2- Sometimes it feels I am at the back of the queue compared to betfair. Are the market makers waiting until a price is cleared on Betfair before accepting my bet?
3- Are the market makers guilty of leaving a larger spread than betfair? Is this just greedy behaviour?
It's a good site, but I want my trades and bets to be taken just as quickly as betfair and at the moment this is not happening. I can understand if it was large amounts of money involved, but often it is just a couple of quid that is not being taken. If Smarkets can solve this, then surely the liquidity will follow.
4- It's lacking 3rd party software like a Bet Angel for example. Are there plans to rectify this, as surely this is counter productive for liquidity.

I do find the text size on mobile a bit small, but I feel quite supportive to smarkets. I hope they can sort out the liquidity

Effective text chat on Smarkets, recommend

Had a great and fair fast, compared to Betfair, text chat about depositing, withdrawing and how to avoid/lessen the chance of an account review when depositing and betting. Extremely Unhappy, Suspended Account without explanation

Extremely Unhappy,
Without being logged there is no access to live chat. No phone number to call and query. Nothing.
I opened an account around 6 Days ago, which was instantly suspended and documents were requested.
I provided this and my account was open 2 days after.
I had a total of £2000 in my account of which i planned on using only to find out my account has once again been suspended...

No email from them even though it says i should lookout for one? No way to contact to see whats going on... No response to emails too.. Nothing..

Its just not professional, atleast email me explaining things but nothing, ive sent a total of 6 different email still nothing back. Poor.

Navigation around your website is abysmal

I am only writing this review as Ryan sent an email asking me to do so. I sent them an email over a year ago telling them how poor the navigation was on their website and other observation and never got a reply.
This is by far the worse exchange website. I bet a lot on UK horse racing whilst their competition make it easy to select future races with link showing them. You don't.
I pull my hair out. They have a link to next horse race. But that is all. Often the next race they show is so obscure, you scratch your head and ask why the 4.20 at god knows where is shown rather than the next UK race where 98% of the trades are made.
You are unable to edit bets. You have to cancel and resubmit it. You have for instance a £100 bet and it shows as £99...why ??
On football home page, do they show the popular matches that almost everyone wants to bet on, No, they show some obscure matches which again no one is interested in.
Today they are showing the World Cup South qualification matches as the headline events 3 of them.
Bolivia v Columbia Equador Paraguay and Venezuela v Argentina. That's bad enough but these games are for the 10th October. Where is tomorrows mouthwatering clash, hidden away and takes 3 steps to find it.
Whoever is designing your site should be sacked.
It amazes me that you are unaware of how difficult it is.
I use this site very rarely as it drives me insane.
To add to my review On horse racing markets,Why have the place markets link at the bottom of the win markets.
Put the link at the top, why have to scroll to sometimes 20 runners just to find the link...crazy !!
And the statements are ridiculous.
Why can't you consolidate the bets ?
I lay a horse and if it is matched in parts they show all parts which could run into many.
You are the only company that does this.

For horse racing, whilst your feedback will be passed on, you can minimise the ‘winners’ bets by selecting the arrow at the top. In doing so, this will prevent you from having to scroll down past multiple runners for the event, which we can understand may be frustrating.

I’ve been a customer with Smarkets and recently faced an incredibly frustrating situation. I’ve been locked out of my account for several days, and despite multiple attempts to reset my password, I am not receiving any reset emails. I’ve checked my inbox, junk folders, and even tried different browsers, but nothing works.

What’s more stressful is the fact that there’s no contact phone number to reach out to directly. I’ve sent several emails and have had to wait up to three days for a response, which is far too long in a situation like this. I cannot even use the help chat because I cannot log in!

I’m very keen to resolve this issue, but the lack of immediate support has been extremely frustrating. Smarkets, please reply to my email promptly and provide a solution to this ongoing issue.
