Understanding and professional services

My initial contact with Smart-Sure was via email to discuss cancelling one of my policies. I was contacted by William Martin a Retentions Advisor. I was apprehensive about the call, anticipating that an agent for Smart-Sure would try their hardest to convince me to continue with my policy. I couldn’t have been further from the truth. William listened to my reasoning and understood then proceeded to process the cancellation. He advised me of when the last payment would be and handled the call courteously and professionally. If there comes a time in the future when I need insurance cover I will go back to Smart-Sure without hesitation.

Initially I had faces many problems with other members of the staff but as soon as I contacted him it was all sortellll

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY

Beware of this company, I would not recommend them or get involved with them ever again. My experience of this company after paying them £1600 in early December has been awful and totally disasterouse. i have a phone recording of the company mis selling me their insurance for my rental homes. They are just interested in taking payments and the rest of the mis selling side of their business you get to find out later when trying to get Kitchen white goods looked at that have broken down and needs an engineer to repair or replace the item.

This company is a total scam. My absolute advice BEWARE I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM OR USE THEM AGAIN EITHER.

Boiler breakdown and failed to fix

I had my boiler serviced on Thursday and it broke down on Friday, it was probably because it was disturbed rather than the engineer. The problem was logged, but had difficulty getting engineer out to repair and when he did, he couldn't find the fault. A second company attended and decided a number of parts should fix the problem, a 3 day wait for parts and I had to pay and excess before parts were ordered, these parts didn't fix the problem and were removed again. I was then told a new boiler was required and I would be contacted by another company to quote for a replacement. I contacted the boiler manufacturer to get their engineer to repair, he called the next day and it was fixed within an hour. I have since contacted Smart Sure to get my excess back without success

My experience was 5 star . John was very professional and also has the personal touch and I didn’t feel like I was talking to a machine. He explained everything and took everything I said on board. Thank you for a lovely experience.( makes a change)

Long wait for boiler inspection

Waited one month after signing on to make a boiler inspection appointment (as per agreement) - I have called twice since and am still waiting for an appointment 2 weeks later.

Kitchen appliance insurance cover

I have been with smart cover for a few years now and due to changing appliances and no longer needing the insurance cover. I rang to cancel the appliances and to keep my cooker with them. I was really surprised at how quick and easy it was to cancel I was expecting a very long winded phone call as that is usually the case when cancelling, but that wasn't the case with company it was done in 5 minutes and I even got a discount on my cooker.

This company avoid

This company avoid, I paid for a boiler service, booked twice the date and both times the engineer didn't appear, finally a third app and the engineer arrived, late on the day and refused a service, said it was a safety check, I have since been trying to get SMART SURE to action or refund me and have spoken to every person I believe that works for them and still no help, avoid- avoid paying out to this company they are a con . I truly believe they have no customer service skills and are fake.

NEVER USE SMART-SURE

Absolutely horrendous place to go for. I purchased an annual boiler service 3 weeks ago (29438F562A) and called them on the following day to make an appointment and also paid an additional £4.99 as a booking fee. On that day, I was told that I will get a call from an engineer to fix a time within next 28 days. Two weeks gone by with no phone call at all, then I decided to call them back. I talked with more than 5 people at their very poor customer service-at least 10 phone calls. Very inconsistent and empty responses all the time and each person contradict what others were telling me. The last one I talked with agreed that there's been a confusion from their side and confirmed to action on this asap. another week gone by and nothing happened. then I decided to talk with them today and the person at the other end then talked me that they have refunded my £4.99 booking fee, which I haven’t received yet. Now I need to find a way to get a refund of the boiler service charge and after 3 weeks of nonsense I also have to go somewhere else to get the job done. NEVER GO TO SMART SURE - FIND SOMEONE WTH A GOOD OVERALL REVIEW RATING!!!!!!

We rang 3 days ago as our Sky had…

We rang 3 days ago as our Sky had broken down. After a long chat with Sky they agreed to send a new remote although we felt we needed an engineer. Remote arrived today and in spite of various attempts to programme it, Sky still didn't work. We contacted Sky again and they said an engineer would ring us. Approx. 2 hours later we have heard nothing. If someone doesn't come today to sort this out this means we will have no Sky all over the weekend when we watch a lot of sport. We need action NOW please.

Be very careful

Be very careful if you have insurance with this company as they took the renewal payment for my policy 6 weeks early!!!!!
When I called them to ask why they had taken my payment when it wasn't due yet they told me it was because I made a claim on my policy, I'm sorry but that's not normal business practice and it seems something is not right with this company. I also have to point out when I did make a claim on my policy they sent me a sky box in the post! I then had to call them to get an engineer round to fit my box which took another week, if you are looking for a reliable company I would stay well away from this company.
