I’ve just returned from my opticians for a prescription which has changed and was offered to just get new lens in the set of timberland glass i was sold by “Smartbuygkasses.co.uk” i paid £290 for them only to learn today that what i was sold was not what i paid for 😡😡..i been wearing them since 2023 thinking i’ve been wearing polarised prescription glasses !!! but there are not polarised at all so smart buy glasses are robbing ppl and charging them for the pleasure..avoid buying from them at all cost

Ordered VR prescription lenses to fit a…
Ordered VR prescription lenses to fit a Quest 3, it was immediately obvious that the lenses had been manufactured incorrectly as they were totally blurred and unusable. Contacted the retailer and was promised a solution within 48hrs, heard nothing since.
Now I've been promised a full refund and I've improved my rating to three stars, the responses from them was always prompt even if they could not provide a full complete solution.

Second review, liars and ignorant company
It's my second review.
So basically on the first review, An Service Manager called "Romar"has responded, to the review and telling me that the issue will be resolved, after this he emailed me, saying that the issue cannot be solved etc, and that i should contact carrier, contacted carrier, since the box wasn't empty or damaged, they reverted me back to Smartbuyglasses, for a few days i have been sending emails to him, 0 response, this company is ignorant and are lying about resolving issues here in the reviews.
I am considering filling a chargeback already.

Glasses and lenses are very high quality, process was fairly easy and delivery didn't take too long either - all in all we are very happy with our purchases 😊
Great specs after a lengthy wait.
Good range of frames, excellent prescription results, but a lengthy delay in getting the specs delivered. Only after I'd placed the order, was I given the estimated sourcing time of 5-11 working days for the frames + 5-7 working days for the lenses.
An efficient return process
The frame I chose arrived within the expected time frame. However, it wasn’t what I expected and I returned it. The return process was straightforward and my payment was refunded promptly. Had the frame been more accurately described on the website, the whole transaction could habe been avoided. I wanted a matt frame and this one was very shiny, so a better description would have helped.

I hate giving bad reviews
I hate giving bad reviews, but my experience was terrible and could have been avoided.
I was planning a holiday. I bought new sunglasses with 2 months to spare. All good.
I got an email a couple of days later saying that they had looked at my prescription and choice of frames and would recommend that I upgrade to a higher spec of lens. Annoying, but I accepted the recommendation and paid the difference. They are the experts, right?
Then - silence. One week. Two weeks. Three weeks..... Nothing. I was getting close to going on holiday, so thought I should follow up. A fast reply came back saying sorry for the delay and that they would chase the dispensers and give me an extra 5% credit for the faff. Great.
Two days later, I was contacted telling me that my lens and frame combination was impossible and that they were never going to make the glasses for me. My order had just sat there, despite their 2 week turn around promise, and no one had bothered to check or tell me.
Needless to say, trust broken. Entirely avoidable, leaving me to run around to get new sunglasses made in a few days.
I'd recommend Glasses Direct. This is the first time I haven't used them and I regret it.

Received excellent service. I ordered some Coach sunglasses for my daughter’s birthday, however (my mistake) mistook the delivery address, which meant they would arrive well after her birthday. I sent an email explaining my mistake and received an immediate reply saying they would do what they could. Lo and behold I received them 2 days prior to her birthday, a whole 6 days before they were expected. Glasses are lovely and I’m so pleased to actually receive good customer services from a company who seems to care about their customers - thank you
