DO NOT BUY

DO NOT BUY. The kettle cannot connect to the app since mid 2025! Support is useless although i reported the issue within the warranty period! This is now just a very expensive ordinary kettle with no smart functions.

Do not buy! App no longer connects

As with everyone else, all smart features of the kettle stopped working last year. There must be an issue with the app but this has not been rectified and I have received no response to my complaint. When it worked it was great but now it is just an over priced regular kettle. I feel ripped off and not confident that this is going to be rectified.
Shockingly poor service from the company. It’s been over 6 months now. Get it sorted!

I have had this Kettle for many years. Half a year ago, the smart functions simply stopped working. Temporary issue they said.

Well. Its still down.

It was the best until it wasn’t

It was the best, until it wasn’t. Got two iKettle 2.0. Recommended to every client, restaurants, yachts, homes, people with babies. And all of a sudden it just stops working. Canned responses from support until even that stopped working. Never a Smarter product ever again is the smartest possible decision for anyone reading this,

This company must end. Cease to exist.

WORST. COMPANY. EVER.

WORST - COMPANY - EVER. Had 2 of their v3 kettles for over 5 years. Product has lid design faults, base continually boils and will boil itself out after a few years casing a fire risk, Android and Cloud support not been working for over 6-8 months.

It's now relegated to something between e-waste and a dumb kettle. But at least a dumb kettle has a working lid and isn't a fire risk due to over boiling to infinity.

If you think the company will help you, think again. I've been waiting 3 years for a replacement lid "that is only ever a month or two away" and the company has completely pulled the rug from under the customers with the app and cloud based functionality (likely to not paying their platform providers bill) and deciding too ... well... just not reply to any of their paying customers, because, why not right???

But don't worry guys, there's a new shiney ikettle with a digital display on it "Coming Soon."

Don't ever give your money to this company again.

100% Clown Show.

Do not buy

Do not buy! I'm in shock their website still claims any of their devices are smart!

The app hasn't worked for months. Their support knows of the issue and haven't resolved it. Check the other comments, it's not just me.

I suspect the company to be closing soon, I will be surprised if it doesn't as it hasn't resolved the issue with the main selling point of their products.

Do not buy this product

Do not buy this product. It is extremely overpriced and does not deliver on its core advertised functionality.
The main reason for buying a smart coffee machine is the ability to control it remotely via the app and internet connection. That functionality simply stops working. The app disconnects, remote start becomes unusable, and the product effectively turns into a very expensive basic coffee machine.
Customer support repeatedly claims the issue is temporary and that it will be resolved “soon.” It is not. The problem persists, with no meaningful fix or timeline, and the advertised smart features never return.
This feels deeply misleading. You are paying a premium for internet connectivity and app control that does not reliably exist. Advertising a smart product that cannot stay connected makes the pricing unjustifiable and the product unfit for purpose.
Save your money and look elsewhere.

Great for years but now avoid!

Had this product for a number of years and loved it. Then in September last year the smart part of the kettle stopped working. CS advised that they were working on a fix and its fine as the kettle part still works. After months of trying to get answers I give up and I am actively looking for a replacement. Its a shame as for years it was a great product and much better looking than other smart kettles

Worst thing I’ve ever bought

Worst thing I’ve ever bought. Worked for about 2 weeks then stopped. Customer service who “replies in 48-72 hours” takes about 3-4 weeks to reply to you, and tells you that they’re working on a fix, well that was July 2025. You can’t call them, you can’t escalate to an operations manager (which is what it says somewhere on their site), and the “reviews” on their site are bogus - good luck trying to actually leave a review on their site, which is why I am here.

The BEST part about this device. I GOT A FULL REFUND. and you can too!!

Six months after I got nothing but terribly delayed and hopeless responses, I raised a complaint with my bank Revolut, who asked me to share screenshots of my correspondence and my purchase receipt, and they reimbursed me straight away as they started to investigate the situation. 3 weeks later they told me they had finished their investigation and that I could keep my reimbursement. So please, if you’ve had the same issues as me, and I’m sure you have, then do the same thing!!!

Do not buy anything from this company. There is no support. I have tried to get my password reset for years now, im not receiving the reset password mail, and there is simply no help get. They are not even responding to support cases that you sent in.

I want this company to succeed – I've been singing their praises for years, but this is now completely unacceptable.

As others have stated, their app/smart functionality is dead, it's been dead for a few months and the best result I got from customer services was two months ago, when they claimed the outage was "temporary".

I wrote a similar review just over a year ago, as there seemed to be a once-yearly outage – but that was nothing compared with this.

There's no explanation, no apologies, nothing.

Sadly I cannot see how they will survive this

Awful taste and slow/poor customer service

Purchased a kettle and endured a very lengthy delay. Kettle finally arrived (they had been waiting for stock apparently) but it tasted very metallic, Advised by customer service to try varying methods to stop this taste - all failed. They sent a new kettle after much back and forth of emails. They are not the quickest to reply and needed repeated emails. Anyway, new kettle finally arrived. Same problem! Now they won't refund me as it has been over their returns time but they have offered to send a 3rd kettle - It been 6 weeks and they are no longer responding. Avoid them and do not purchase from them

Do not purchase anything from this company. They've bricked their iKettle 3. Their support has been awful for years. I thought they were winding up about 2 years ago. But the website is still pushing new models and devices. They don't seem to care. They don't seem to know how to fix their own issue. They have acknowledged they have an issue. And indicated there would be an update coming "in the next few weeks". It's been broken for months. Incompetence. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

Same as everyone else. Not working …

Same as everyone else smart functions not working. Was told it was a software issue and would be fixed. Fast forward 2 months still not working and they now don’t reply to messages. Waste of over a hundred pounds for a normal kettle! Strange they’re still on sale on the smarter website for £130.
If anyone’s reading this don’t waste your money I’m sure there’s other smart kettles available now.

iKettles no longer works - AVOID

Had two of the iKettles over the last several years. I replaced my first one when it expired a couple of years ago.
Like everyone else it stopped working, I contacted customer services, and got the same stock reply after several weeks of waiting. We can use it as a non-smart kettle, but that’s it! RIP
