Their selling point used to be the price. Now not so much.
Here is my experience with Smoobu so far.
Trying numerous times to call support on UK or US – 90% of time support line is down. I only managed to talk to a living person thrice in two months.
Smoobu has staff accounts to which I assigned staff members. Problem – they can't see any real-time messaging from customers. They have to monitor manually if a customer sends a message. Flagging this as weird, support staff agrees and says it is unreasonable. I ask what the workaround is – let staff log in to the admin account. Bottom line – staff accounts are useless. Everyone needs to log into the same admin account for any real impact.
Smoobu doesn't handle conversion well. Trying to feed prices into VRBO (one of the big three together with Airbnb and Booking.com) results in total disaster; hence I have to disable my VRBO listings. Contacting support – I ask, "is there any way to handle multiple currencies." Answer email – link to an article. The article says, "No."
Another call to support suggests marking down VRBO price. Seems like a reasonable solution. Problem – the system only allows markups—great support offering doing something impossible.
I have an add-on called checkin.io. After a conversation with the owner, he admitted the main feature is not working in my region. There is no way to cancel it. So now, every time I add a property, I am charged automatically for a service I don't need. Amounting to hundreds of Euros.
Things I like:
I love the app.
I love the UI.
Adding properties is straightforward.
What I don't like:
Support.
Multiple currencies. Very confusing.
Some OTAs are a pain to add.
The direct booking website is very rudimentary,
In conclusion, there is sound engineering under the hood but overlooking crucial features. And honestly, a support representative is only 10% available.
For me who manages tourist villas in Greece is the most productive tool. Easy, fast, and economical. I recommend it.
Been using Smoobu for more than year now, the support and customer service is great, they are fast and problem solvers. The system is pretty intuitive. Totally recommend!!!!!

I am really happy with the value I've received from utilizing Smoobu compared to the other channel managers I demoed. Their prices didn't compare for similar offerings.

I am really happy with the value I've received from utilizing Smoobu compared to the other channel managers I demoed. Their prices didn't compare for similar offerings.
With Smoobu, I saved half of my time that I spent on each channels in order to update the calendar. I highly suggest Smoobu if you have more than 1 listing.

An excellent resource for syncing calendars with VRBO and Airbnb and for allowing direct bookings via a personal website. Excellent customer service - timely, clear and responsive. Very good value for the functionality and service.

Smoobu is very good value for money and we use it in combination with pricelabs. Really recommend using a smart pricing tool as smoobu is not really built for that and managing pricing/LOS there would a bit of a boring endeavour.

Varias reservas entraron sin el MarkUp en booking.
Entre en contacto con smoobu quien primero culpo a booking , luego a pricelabs y luego dijo que no habia configurado el markup .
No resolvieron el problema , tengo varias reservas con 40% menos que el precio correcto por que no sincronizaron correctamente con booking.
Atencion del soporte muy basica e irrespetuosa.
Lo barato sale caro.

I've CC PriceLabs several times and also asked Marianne to CC them because each answer of her appart of nonsense was with no CC as asked , also , several times.
First your company blame booking for brakedown prices , then pricelabs which are very clear what happened in several emails , also sent to you .
After that , and showing that was very clear that smoobu didnt sync the markup , the answer was that i hadn't configured it , which i did since i have your plataform.
And to finished Mariane never came back with an answer so i needed to insist, when another collab sent me an e-mail with the name of the property and not mine " Hi Vila " , what a lack of attention.
So how your plataform sent the price without 40% markup ?
I can give you an idea , maybe when i added a non refundable rate smoobu did not map it correctly.

Sorry, I just can't give Smoobu a good review.
Issues:
* Messages do not sync properly from booking.com and AirBNB properly
* The calender user experience is rubbish - I have customers wanting to book into 2023, and it's painful on Smoobu to go out that far
* rate tables are a pain. I cannot get specific dates set easily and the logic doesn't work properly for the different platforms which set different discount criteria
The only thing I'm really using reliably is the calendar available / not available.
The product needs a lot of user experience thought, reliable messaging and consistent interfaces which are easy to use

We have found Smoobu to be a great platform for managing bookings across multiple platforms for our serviced accommodation. Currently we have just the one unit but we are adding more and Smoobu will become an increasingly important part of our operation. Support and customer service has been good.
We as a family have been using Smoobu for more than 8 months now and we are more than thankful for all the features this software provides to us.
Pros
Using Smoobu was an absolute game changer for us. The possibility to adjust prices and reservations once and apply them automatically to all the different platforms on which our properties are listed saves as a huge amount of work, plus it provides a great overview of the reservations of all properties in one place.
Cons
Connecting the calendar with some specific portals was a bit difficult. That however has to do with the technical expertise of the portals themselves and not so much with Smoobu.
The payment system integrated on our new websites works good. For us it would be helpful to include different bank accounts for different properties.
I have tried few other channel managers, which some was not mobile friendly, some was overbuilt for my needs.
Smoobu, is just perfect, mobile friendly, great customer support, and has so many integrations. Highly recommended
We love using smoobu as our channel manager for our business Crawford House. The automation of the bookings and the guest communication makes it easy to have a consistent approach to your business across all the OTAs and your direct website if you have one. We highly recommend Smoobu to fellow self catering accommodation owners.
I did so much research for the perfect chanel manager. I eventually chose Smoobu and I am so pleased I did.
I have found the set up straight forward and easy to do and I am a complete beginner at using this sort of software.
The support team are always available to assist you if you get stuck. The live chat function is only available during your free trial, it would be useful if the live chat was also available once you have signed up.
I find its a very modern looking piece of software and looks good on my website.
From the guests end the booking process is straightforward and simple.
Smoobu also worked out cheaper than other companies and it has everything I need. I run 2 B&B's and 4 self catering accommodations.
I haven't gone live yet with my direct booking but I am excited to be using Smoobu and once it goes live you are welcome to see how it looks on my website number34brighton.
What I enjoy the most about Smoobu is the way they made it easy to learn and understand. I love the design, logos and functionality of both web and app. It has easy and comfortable learning steps everyone can learn. The templates that have been pre-made in all different stages of implementation are perfect and brilliant.
When you use it, you can feel the passion and dedication that has been put into something this complicated.I want and will recommend the professional version to anyone in this industry.
