The in-store experience is really such a let down. The staff are either too pushy or over familiar, they don't really know anything useful about the products they're selling, and they don't have anything useful to offer... no fabric swatches to take home, no priority delivery, no discounts, nothing. They're just trying to upsell cleaning products. It's a bit sad and embarrassing that a bricks and mortar shop losing so much ground to online competition hasn't thought to improve the in-store experience AT ALL. They cynic in me thinks this is, however, deliberate, and the long game is to drive everything online to reduce cost, so making improvements to stores is a big waste of time and margin.
Asking for a review at this point, minutes after a purchase is also a really cheap shot I'd like to condemn, and suggest be reconsidered. The problems most customers will face are due to delayed delivery or purchases not standing the test of time. If Sofology really gave a damn about what their customers thought, and how happy they are, they would be asking them a year (or more) after purchase. The fact they're not, and asking someone with ZERO experience of the product or process they've just bought into, speaks volumes.
Now to the sofa itself. We've bought a Bellagio sofa and loveseat, they're the deepest and squishiest sofas we've found, and nothing else we can find in this price range compares. We want to curl up and cuddle and this sofa has that in spades. The available fabric choices are, however, extremely limited. Why a chain like Sofology can't introduce a more contemporary range of colours and fabrics that could be used across the wider range is beyond me. Further evidence of mediocre and out of touch marketing, product and management teams.
Being able to buy the sofa on 3 years interest free credit after a 10% deposit is a wildly good deal, I must admit. Even if you have the money to pay for it up front, don't. Keep paying over 3 years and it's Sofology that soaks up the cost of inflation, meanwhile you can keep your money in an account earning interest. By paying over 3 years you're probably saving the best part of 30-40% in real terms.
In summary, we only bought from Sofology becuase there was ONE sofa we liked, available in a couple of colours we didn't mind (none we loved), at an acceptable price. If we had more cash to spend we'd have gone elsewhere. The in-store experience was mildly off-putting at best, and incredibly cringe at worst (we went a few times to make up our mind). The website is also completely rubbish. No useful dimensions, only overall dimensions, which is like using black and white images to sell colourful paintings.

We were served today by sales representative Diana. She was very friendly, approachable, attentive, patient, knowledgeable and extremely helpful throughout our visit. She listened carefully to what we were looking for, took the time to explain the different options, and gave her honest opinions, which made choosing the right sofa much easier.
She also checked the correct spelling of my name and double-checked the address, contact number and email address to make sure everything was accurate. She explained the paperwork and credit agreement step by step, which made the process very clear and easy to understand.
She was not pushy at all, and we did not feel pressured to make a decision or purchase, which made the experience much more relaxed and enjoyable.
Diana provided excellent customer service, and it was a pleasure doing business with her.

A big empty showroom, 2 staff members, both really friendly and helpful. The man that helped us, I can’t remember his name unfortunately, couldn’t do more. He was exceptional. Can’t wait for the new sofa to arrive :)
