Horrible experience and I am very…
Horrible experience and I am very disappointed that I did not dig deeper into this company. Poor quality, and cost of return is the same cost as the sweater I purchased. TOTAL SCAM. They'll give a 20% discount for me to keep the item. They still make money because the item is such poor quality.
Horrible product - total SCAM!
I wish I’d read the reviews before ordering rather than a few minutes later!! The coat I ordered a few weeks ago has just arrived and is really cheap and nasty with crooked seams, no lining and it completely swamps me despite allegedly being a size 6-8! Don’t think I’ll even wear it for walking the dog! Oh well, lesson learned I guess but I’m so annoyed with myself for falling for this.
Complete scam
Complete scam, what i got had nothing to do with the picture or the description of the items and I cannot returm them.
Dreadful clothes, appalling customer service
Dreadful! Absolutely dreadful. Highly misleading advertisement which appears to show a 4.75 Trustpilot score with over 1000 reviews, but if you click on this the link doesn’t work because it’s fake. The real score should be zero. Poor quality clothes which took two weeks to arrive from China, not London. The “cashmere” turned out to be 95% polyester 5% spandex! Awful return policy. Buyer beware!
SCAM - AVOID
Jumper arrived... a cheap imitation of what I ordered. No refund unless item is returned, I could return it using Evri at £9.49 but I expect they would find another reason to not refund me. Reported ad to Facebook.. nothing.
Lesson learnt.
Absolute scam
Absolute scam
Ditto to all the other reviews - nothing like the items sent, including the wrong item and terrible quality and incorrect size and no attempt to manage the returns.
Complete scam
Complete scam. I saw these reviews just after I ordered and they wouldn't let me cancel. The order is from China and looks nothing like advertised. They don't let you return unless there is a 'defect' and specifically state on their website that different perceptions over the description are not considered a defect. Steer clear.
Fraud
Fraud! Seems same has happened to me, items arrived looked nothing like advertised, very cheap polyester garments. To refund am expected to send items back to China these are absolute Fraudsters. Wish I had checked out these reviews before buying.
Not as advertised
I read the reviews here after placing an order and had no expectation whatsoever that my item was going to be as advertised. I received a knitted article close to the colours I expected, but the shape and sizing leave a lot to be desired: eeves slightly too short and no shaping of the sides so it looks round instead. Not as bad as others' experiences but really not great.
This is a scam company
This is a scam company. Do not order anything from Solara London. I ordered two Catherine Cozy cardigans which in the photos look gorgeous. The items which arrived are clearly not the ones in the photo. They are a mixture of cheap polyester and spandex, appallingly made. The company is based in China and to get a refund you have to return the package to China or accept an insulting 10% refund. I’m kicking myself that I didn’t look at Trust Pilot first before ordering. I’ve lost over £60 without a hope of recuperating it. I will be much more careful in future before ordering from pop up ads on Facebook. Lesson learned 😡😡
An absolute scam
An absolute scam - sends out junk that looks nothing like item advertised. It is posted from China not London and if you want to return it the costs are absolutely prohibitive. Facebook should be held responsible for hosting the lying advert on their feed. I asked for it to be removed and that was denied. They do no allow you to say why it should be removed accurately. Oh, how I wish I'd read Trust Pilot first!
False Advertising
I am afraid to say that I am yet another victim of this company's false advertising - I wonder how are they getting away with operating as a company and am considering contacting trading standards. I received my order today of a "cosy knit jumper" only to find that it was a cheap printed sweatshirt which I would be embarrassed to wear - from the experience of other customers it looks as though I can say goodbye to any possible refund on this extremely disappointing item.
Another victim here
Got sent a jumper nothing like I ordered and customer service was awful. Their return policy should be irrelevant if they haven’t sent what was paid for.
Missold. - a scam
Total scam. The cardigan sent was polyester not cotton as described in the photo. Looks totally different and cheap - and now they want me to return it to China at my own cost! AVOID!!
Don’t expect to return anything…
I ordered a cardigan and 2 jumpers. Cardigan was fine, jumpers looked different to the photo, much much cheaper, nasty acrylic wool not soft as the photo showed. Asked to return and was given a long explanation about how I should consider other alternatives like a discount on next order and keep the items. They will only accept returns back to china and within 14 days of delivery. I advised I wanted to return and could I have the address 2 days later another email telling me how expensive it is to send back to china and takes ages and why don’t I take the discount and sell the items but here is the address if I want to risk a return. Clearly will never use this company again. Would recommend no one else does either.
I received a horrendous printed polyester type garment instead of a KNITTED cardigan!
I bought a cozy multi-colour cardigan which is shown as a knitted item on the photo on the website. What arrived was a horrendous garment, made from a cheap polyester type fabric PRINTED with a knitted pattern. I wrote an email to ask for a refund as the item that was sent was not as described. I was told that if I wanted a full refund I needed to post the item back to China but that Solara London wanted to make me aware of the considerable logistics and costs involved to me with that choice. Solara went on to offer an immediate refund of 15% of the cost of the item and suggested that I sold it locally or donated it to charity! I am absolutely disgusted!
WARNING …
WARNING …. Same stuff now being advertised from a company called MUSE.
I too have been scammed by this…
I too have been scammed by this company. Apparently this type of scam is called drop-shopping. I ordered a colourful knitted cardigan and yesterday received a thin polyester-type fabric overprinted. I thought that I could get my money back through my credit card but that is looking very doubtful. Visa have told me to email the supposed customer service address and ask for their authorisation to return it. They might reply telling me to send it to China costing me £20-25 with tracking. If they don’t reply within a few days Visa will raise a dispute and I might get a refund from Visa. If I decide to actually send it to China I think that it will somehow get ‘lost in transit’ so then I won’t get a refund and will have lost £60-65 instead of the original £40.
Interestingly I noticed that, deep into the text of the T&Cs, there is mention of a “SEK300” fee so this would seem to be an international scam with website text being copied wholesale.
My personal learning point - never buy anything online without checking the seller on an independently review site.
Negative score-total scam
Negative score. Total scam. My comments are the same as people below. £40 down the drain. Has anyone succeeded in getting a refund from their credit card company.
Do not be duped by false good reviews
Please be aware to that this company are stating on Facebook that they have excellent Trust pilot reviews. They also are selling their fake items on other sites with similar names. I was duped into buying a "cozy cotton" cardigan which is actually a cheap polyester type fabric with printing of knitting on its surface. It is neither cosy nor cotton and I cannot risk paying for postage back to Shanghai for a refund from a company that have already lied to me
