I concur with the last review. They install and then they abandon you. They were supposed to be helping me get a DNO letter so we can charge our batteries off the grid at night time with cheap energy. I have been chasing them for four months for something they said would take a few weeks and now they don’t even bother replying.

Be warned also their estimations of how much light your panels will get are grossly optimistic, in our case tree cover in the winter when the sun is low has basically meant the panels are very ineffective.

Once they will install the system you will be left on your own to deal with it. These are cowboys that yes indeed will do everything to get the contract and install the system but once they get your money, you will have no support. Our system failed several times and they are suppose to maintain it and we were told that they have to do an upgrade. However, the company ignored all our emails and messages left. They won’t call or email back and left us with broken system for the past 6 months. Useless. Do not hire them. Go to a larger company like octopus or even EDF.

Solar Ecologist installed panels on our house in August 2023 and we are still waiting for our final paperwork. Their communication with clients needs improvement as the phones are seldom answered during their advertised opening hours and voicemail messages go unacknowledged. I finally got a response after contacting the Solar Ecology Site Team on the number given for urgent calls only. I understand matters are in hand and I will update this review when the matter is resolved.

I engaged Solar Ecologist to sort out a system I had installed last July with a company who failed in every area of the installation.
Andrew Ajay and his team did all the remedial work including removal of all the panels, and brought the electrical work up to industry standards, the roofing team were a happy efficient pair they made extensive repairs to my roof, where many tiles were missing and damage had been.
They were not phased by anything required to get the system safe and legal.
They were professional, efficient, on time and helpful with anything I was worried about.
They started the install from scratch once the remedial work had been done, so I now have a lovely new system that works really efficiently, meets all the legal requirements, on the day of the installation I was given my DNO, MCs, building regs certificate along with electrical safety and warranties.
All in all I’m a very happy customer and would thoroughly recommend Solar Ecologist.

It's not easy finding good, honest, professional tradesmen but in our opinion we feel we managed to find all the qualities in this this one company.
We were able to check their reviews , in fact I even asked and was able to speak to a very satisfied customer.

From the very beginning the team were friendly, helpful, kind and listened to our requirements after which they spent time going through everything thoroughly. We had quotes from other companies so we knew that the price was very competitive but what we found reassuring was the extra advice that was given . Some examples were the use of optimisers and the bird barrier which we opted for. We were also told the benefits of using a thicker 6mm cable instead of the thinner, which most companies tend to use.

The installers were polite and friendly. They didn’t really disturb us much and just got on with the job .Their work was neat and at the end of the installation they cleared up and left everything tidy.

Before they left our system was up and running producing a good amount of energy, so we're already saving money which is amazing !
Today is our first real day and it was such a relief to see that we are actually producing more energy than consuming .With the cost of energy prices rising it’s honestly such a relief to have installed the solar panels.

The whole process from beginning right through to the installation was very quick, easy and all very smooth . We feel reassured and confident that we chose the right company and would definately recommend this company to others .

Pre-sales with Barry was very easy and accommodating of all our questions. Having the same team do the survey and install meant there was no issues between what could be installed and what was. Overall a very good experience.

I cannot recommend the Solar Ecologist team highly enough. The shape of our roof would not allow any form of traditional solar panel installation. We hit upon the idea of creating a new garden building, capable of holding 10 panels, and the Solar Ecologist team were with us all the way. They stuck to their installation date and did not move onto their next project until ours was finished and we were totally happy. The whole team was a pleasure to have around, and after we later decided we’d like to have pigeon protection added, they came back again on the promised date and did a very neat job. When we decided to add solar, selecting an installer was a lottery. All we could do was read reviews and use gut feel. We’re very happy to recommend this team.

I engaged the services of Solar Ecologist in Dec 2022 to do a system check on a PV system I had installed earlier in the year, where the original installer had failed to secure/produce any of the legally required permissions and certifications.

Their site team carried out a thorough inspection of the system and then proposed a set of remedial works required, as well as agreeing to undertake the required permission and certification work.

I agreed and the work was arranged promptly and conducted in a very efficient and professional manner. Both the office staff I have spoken to and the Site Team have been absolutely wonderful to work with and very, very helpful and responsive. I now have a PV system that I feel is both safe and legal, which is a great comfort.

Solar Ecologist installed a solar system with battery in my house at the beginning of the year.
The whole experience was fantastic. Starting with Jack, the technical advisor I spoke to, he made our discussions very interesting and explained everything clearly. He listened carefully to my requirements of the system and offered me the best possible solution I found in the market. The installation team of AJ and Khan were super friendly and helpful. They were very careful during the install and always were mindful of setting everything up in a way that will last long time and not get in the way in future.
Overall, I had a great experience with Solar Ecologist and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a solar system.

Everything was smooth, from the planning phase until the installation. They completed the whole job in two working days (plus one day with the scaffolding company) with minimal disruption to household, working explained upon completion, all went well and I am extremely happy and satisfied.

Jack was brilliant from start to finish. His patience was tested fully as I took 3 months to decide on my 'ideal' setup. Having spent a long time reviewing panels, batteries and inverters, Jack stayed true to his word and amended quote after quote as he wanted me to find the perfect setup. He matched and even provided better prices than other suppliers and was honest on wait times given the demand. His technical engineers were first class and covered every aspect of the proposed installation.

I very quickly realised that this was an investment not an expense. Not only have our bills been cut but we’ve been able to sell back our excess energy back to the grid. Kamal guided us through the whole process and was very professional and insightful about renewable energy and the benefits of using solar panels. So our home has now become a lot more economical and eco friendly. Absolute pleasure in all departments - would give 6 stars if I had the option to.

Professional service and high quality product.

I had an excellent contact with their commercial, and although the initial quote is more of a high level estimate (like most companies in this business it seems), the rigour and proper follow up on all communications was excellent.
The visit of the engineers did not disappoint. Both gentlemen were clear, outgoing and experienced. The system proposed would have been a small one due to limitations in the house and context, but could have gone forward.
Things fell down quickly though, when the engineers decided that they would not follow up on a possible installation due the unwillingness to go under the house through a small trapdoor where I (and other contractors) have been regularly. The excuse given was health and safety.
Needless to say I was left disappointed and assume that there is lots of demand, leading to companies selecting their jobs.

Solar Ecologist gets a 5 star rating from us for every aspect of our solar solution. Jack from the Sales team worked tirelessly to answer a large number of questions, even during evenings and weekends. He designed a great solution that meets all of our complex requirements and much more. At the start of the process, I discussed our requirements with a lot of other companies but Jack's detailed knowledge, helpfulness and level of engagement was far superior. The price point was reasonable too. There was a very small delay (a few weeks) for the delivery of the kit and for the DNO approval but both of these were outside the control of Solar Ecologist. The installation team arrived on time and fitted the whole system in a single day. This included a 5KW PV with Pidgeon netting, a battery, inverter and a wireless interface. The installers were professional, tidy workers and they treated our house as a home and not as a building site. The whole process was managed extremely well and we were kept informed of progress throughout. The system has been running for around 4 months and it's performing even better than expected, even in November - We're extremely happy with it. There was an after-sales issue but Solar Ecologist engaged immediately and sent someone the same day to resolve it. We've been extremely impressed with their supportive sales process, knowledgeable installation team and even the prompt after-sales service. Thank you so much Solar Ecologist.

Great experience from start to finish. Jack on the sales team put real effort and time adapting/re adapting my plans until we had a set up that worked perfectly. The tech guys who came pre install were knowledgeable and practical and the team who did the actual installation were quick and efficient and importantly treated it as our home , not a building site.
Really pleased with the whole process

The whole process went very smoothly. Solar Ecologist adapted to my time when the installation was the best for us. I only talked to very polite and professional people during the whole process.
The job was done very fast and all my questions were answered during the process and now I have got a perfectly running system and a beautifully done job.
The installation itself was really fast, it only needed one single day and I have received loads of advice from the engineers.
