Solar Panel Protect - Solar Panel Bird Protection Reviews

My problem was Jackdaws nesting under the panels,Rory came and explained how he was going to remove the nest and how he was going to bird proof the panels and clean them. He done a brilliant job of them all and I’m very pleased with the finished results.

I have no hesitation in recommending Rory from Solar Panel Protect. Rory replaced the bird net/cage around our Solar Panels after birds had been seen trying to nest under the panels.
Rory arrived promptly, worked swiftly, efficiently and erected a far superior cage around the Solar Panels.
The 10 year guarantee a bonus too !

I contacted Rory at Solar Panel Bird Protection out of desperation as I had an extremely bad problem with pigeons fowling all over my balcony. I had tried everything- sonar devices (at one point 4 of them out there!), a spike mat that had blown off in the wind and even a plastic eagle flapping about- nothing had worked.

I didn’t have any solar panels just a bad pigeon problem and really needed someone to help. Rory called me and spent 15 minutes on the phone giving me some incredibly helpful advice that he said if I followed would completely get rid of the issue. He was right! Thanks to Rory I’m now pigeon free!

I am extremely grateful to Rory who took his time to help me out despite having nothing to gain himself. He didn’t charge me or ask anything in return. A really kind guy who really knows his stuff. Thanks very much!

Rory was very professional, with excellent communication throughout the entire process. The work was completed quickly and efficiently, and I’m very happy with both the service provided and the way Rory conducted himself from start to finish. I would highly recommend Rory—very happy, thank you!

Superb job. Very happy. Rory is very knowledgeable and communication is excellent. Would happily recommend

Rory is very professional, efficient and friendly.
He talked me through exactly what he was going to do, showed me the materials that he uses - he uses top quality products that will not deteriorate or degrade over time in the sun (unlike some others).
He also explained how and why the birds were behaving as they have been, and what they would do once they could no longer get underneath the panels.
He did a very thorough, neat and tidy job at a reasonable price. There was an immediate effect on the bird activity, and one week later they have almost completely disappeared.
I would happily use Rory again for bird netting, although of course, I won't have too.
I will recommend him to anybody else I know with solar panels and bird issues.

Rory came out to us this week. We had spoken a number of times on the phone and I sent him photos and unfortunately we needed scaffolding because of the shape of the roof, but even so the cost was very reasonable. On the day he talked me through the process and took loads of photos while he was working. Rory is a really nice guy and was highly informed about the job he does. I would definitely recommend both him and his business. It was a pleasure to do business with him

I don't do lots of reviews but this time I couldn't not! We needed serious help with my elderly parent's solar panels and gutters and Rory was amazing from start to finish. His communication was brilliant and he was so friendly and accommodating.
He did an amazing job and went above and beyond what was necessary. Cannot recommend him highly enough. I wouldn't even look at any other companies if you want friendly, professional, fair priced, tidy and efficient service. Rory is the only choice.

It was a real pleasure to do business with Rory. He was responsive and informative from the outset and we are very pleased with the end product. Our solar panels are not easily accessible, but Rory managed well using his combination of ladder and abseil. This also means that his charges are very reasonable as he doesn’t need scaffolding. we could not recommend him more highly.

I discussed many aspects of the bird proofing work with Rory. He shared his insights with me and took time to clarify both my requirements and understanding. Rory did a sterling job which was seemingly done right first time. It might seem a straightforward job though I think Rory's skill, patience and attention to detail provides him with the knowledge that the job was done to the highest quality and, most importantly, to the satisfaction of the customer. Without any doubt I feel just as confident in his work being first class and believe that there will be no need for Rory to visit me again to fix issues - a rare outcome these days. So "Thank you Rory for being professional and for sharing your insights about the products used and what to expect from the bird's behaviours."

Another excellent job by Solar Panel Protect. Rory has completed pigeon proofing on numerous properties for me over the years and never disappoints. He is now using a black mesh which is virtually invisible. The work is so neat and there’s no way a pigeon is getting under those panels now. Always friendly, knowledgeable, reliable and well priced I would highly recommend him for your pigeon proofing needs.

Rory was great from start to finish. He spent quite a few hours cleaning everything under the solar panels and gutters before putting the protective mesh on.
Highly recommended!

Rory did an excellent job fitting pigeon proofing on our solar and thermal panels. He was punctual, professional, and took the time to answer all my questions clearly and patiently. The work was done to a very high standard, and everything was left neat and tidy afterwards. I’m really pleased with the result and would highly recommend Rory to anyone looking for reliable, quality workmanship.

Rory was great. Brilliant at explaining everything, even to my young kids as they had a lot of questions too and he was really patient them (I asked them for their review: 'impressive and great pigeon man!')

Work was completed to high standard and he was really helpful with advice. Quote was very reasonable, cheaper than others looked at and went extra mile. Really happy and would recommend.

Rory was absolutely brilliant from start to finish! He took the time to explain everything clearly, making the whole process understandable. The quote was fair, with no hidden costs, and payment was only due once the job was complete.
The service is weather-dependent; therefore, he confirmed the day before and was punctual in the morning.
He removed two nests, installed the netting without the hassle of scaffolding, and cleaned the gutters.
Rory is professional, polite, and genuinely cares about doing a great job. Our solar panels are now well protected, with a 10-year guarantee, and we have complete peace of mind.
If you’re dealing with birds nesting under your panels, don’t waste time elsewhere – call Rory. Highly recommended!

Five star service. Very impressed. Rory responded quickly to our initial enquiry and the job was completed efficiently within days and at a fair price. Could not be happier - not sure the evicted pigeons are quite so happy but they knew the risks.

Rory was superb. He actually came to view the job (others had quoted from photographs).

We needed a family of pigeons evicted from underneath our solar panels. This was done with a wire mesh that is hardly noticeable and caused the pigeons no stress whatsoever.

Rory’s knowledge around the subject is extensive. He performed the task superbly. In good time from quote stage, with no disruption and he had no need for scaffolding. 10 year guarantee and what I regarded to be a fair price.

100% recommended and a really nice guy too.

If you don’t interact with him then you are doing yourself a disservice.

Rory communicated well prior to the job. I was informed in advance when bad weather meant a couple of postponements. On the day of the job, Rory arrived early having done his online prep. Communication remained excellent, Rory discussed the works before, during & after and then emphasised the work has a 10 year warranty and to call if there was any issue. The standard work was very good, the bird proofing is hardly visible under the panels. Pics sent with the invoice show all sides of the panels were now well protected. Overall a great service and Rory seems to be a good guy who really cares about the service he provides. Good price too - Highly recommend.

We recently moved in to our new home which already had solar panels and immediately noticed the pigeon situation (it came up in our survey). So after some research came across Rory. Have to say we are so glad we went with Rory on this job. As well as being very knowledgeable and professional in his approach to clearing and then installing the wire mesh, he was also a very nice chap to deal with. No scaffolding needed, all done perfectly and the wire mesh blends in really well. All in all couldn't recommend his services more.

I have two solar arrays on the roof of my two up, two down end of terrace house. The panels are not flush to my roof as they are raised to allow airflow beneath them. This also happens to be the perfect setup for an unintended pidgeon shangri-la.

They were bad guests, deficated all over the roof, panels and rear garden.

Today Solar Panel Protect (SSP) came around, cleared away the mess, cleaned out the gutters and placed a weather protected wire mesh skirt around the edges of the panels. The mesh skirt is discreet and effective.

No more nests, no more pidgeons, no more corrosive poop on the solar cables.

The gent from SSP was great, he explained why the panels were attracting the pidgeons, took before and after pics of my roof and was a pleasure to talk with.

Great service, great value for money, glad I didn't wait until my house burnt down.

Highly recommend.
