Not keeping the humidity down
It is a good-looking machine, but takes a whole day (>12 hrs) to reduce the humidity by 10% - and the next day the humidity is right up again to over 70s.
I expected the 2.5 litre reservoir to fill up quite quickly, but it takes about 24 hrs.
We have a 3 bedroom house, but I suspect it is way underpowered for our needs.

What you are experiencing is actually quite common when first introducing a dehumidifier into a home, especially during wetter months or in homes where moisture has built up over time. The initial moisture isn’t only in the air, it’s also stored in furniture, curtains, carpets, bedding and even the walls themselves. Because of this, it can take several days of continuous use for the humidity levels to stabilise and begin reducing more noticeably.
The fact that the water tank is collecting water over a 24-hour period is a positive sign that the unit is actively extracting moisture from your home. Once the environment dries out, the dehumidifier will then work more on maintaining the humidity rather than constantly pulling out excess moisture.
For best performance, we recommend:
• Running the unit continuously for the first few days
• Keeping internal doors open where possible
• Closing external windows and doors to prevent humid air re-entering
• Positioning the unit centrally in the home or near the dampest area
The Arete® 12L is designed for typical homes and bedrooms, but larger or particularly damp spaces may naturally take longer initially to bring under control.

Good product, atrocious delivery service
The product itself and the feedback on when the product would be delivered, was 5 star. However, stars were taken off (wanted to take all off) due to the delivery company RAM couriers. Their lack of following delivery instructions once again, led to a very delayed delivery. We also had to phone them to reiterate what was instructed. I need to order more from Solenco but won't due to RAM couriers.
