Awful at every possible opportunity. Was involved in a non fault accident, provided three separate independent witnesses, these clowns only bothered to contact one, and immediately went off of the third party's witnesses and found me at fault, despite it being both illogical and an insult to my riding experience. Don't know whether they're just incompetent at their jobs or just too lazy to do it, after all they already had my money, why bother actually uphold their end of the contract we signed?
Oh, forgot to mention, they illegally withheld a refund, despite them themselves telling me I was entitled to it. Lied to by multiple different agents, they missed every deadline and were just truculent and argumentative the whole way through. Had to go to financial ombudsman in the end and shockingly very soon after I got my refund. Still waiting for my apology though and will now be reporting them to trading standards as they're not upholding their end of our contract, which is against the Consumer Rights Act section 36 subsection 4. Do yourselves a favour and stay far away from these idiots.

I am extremely disappointed with the service I’ve received from Somerset Bridge Insurance.
My claim has been ongoing for over four months, despite me repeatedly chasing for updates. Communication has been poor throughout, and I was left completely in the dark for long periods of time. After months of waiting, I received a call today advising that they intended to close my claim because the third party had apparently said they would contact me directly. No one ever contacted me.
So after four months of delays and me having to constantly follow up, they were prepared to close my claim without ensuring the matter had actually been resolved. What exactly am I paying insurance premiums for?
To make matters worse, I was told that I would need to pursue recovery of my excess myself, as it is “not their loss but theirs.” That is completely unacceptable. The whole purpose of paying for insurance is to have the insurer handle matters on your behalf not to leave you to chase third parties and recover your own money.
Due to the excessive delays, poor communication, and the stress and inconvenience caused, I expect compensation directly from Somerset Bridge Insurance for the time wasted and the mishandling of my claim. This situation has arisen because of their failures, and they should take responsibility for putting it right.
This experience has been a complete waste of my time and money. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company.

Facing an enormous amount of distress and confusion I was place in the hands of a lady called Jade. She listened as I poured my fears and tried to make myself coherent. Within 20 mins I was calmed, very reassured, greatly educated, and extremely well cared for. I don't know what else to say . Brilliant, professional, very human,

I had a good conversation with the operator who was kind enough to ensure me that everything will be took in consideration and she was kind enough to explain everything.
At the beginning I was unsure what i need to and what will happen but once we start talking and everything was explained, I calmed down and understood that I be rest assure that the situation will be resolved.

The level of incompetence I’ve experienced is shocking. Customer service agents are poorly trained and completely unhelpful, but unfortunately that’s not even the worst part.
After I cancelled my policy myself, it appears the company was unhappy with this decision and subsequently placed a marker against my name, which is now showing to other insurers as if they cancelled the policy, not me. As a result, I am now struggling to obtain insurance elsewhere. This is incredibly distressing and unacceptable.
I have spent hours calling to resolve this, only to be passed endlessly between different teams customer service, underwriting, third-party teams, validation with no accountability, no resolution, and no ownership taken by anyone. Every call ends in the same loop.
I am extremely shocked and distraught by this situation.
It is also very telling that the company does not meaningfully address negative reviews only posting the same automated response over and over, showing a complete lack of care for customers or service standards.
I would strongly advise others to think very carefully before dealing with this company.

Utterly useless in the event of an incident.
Extremely poorly trained claim handlers, poor communication and general incompetence.
You might get a cheap quote but you will pay if you need to deal with a claim.
They are awful, avoid them at all costs.

My car got stolen over 2 months ago and they are incredibly slow at processing my claim.
I have had to chase them repeatedly to even look at my claim and therefore do their job for them.
I have still been paying for a service I haven’t been able to use thanks to their incompetence.
Totally unacceptable and outrageous!

To be quite honest , I'd give them a MINUS 5* .
Though I wouldn't give them the muck off of my shoe .
The saga been going on for 12 weeks . With no resolution in sight .
Being polite as I can be for the ABYSMAL treatment they have given my daughter , since a n other female driver hit her car , trying to jump into a non existent gap on the main road my daughter was driving in a flow of traffic , the woman tried to force her way in from a side road .
This company has made every effort to avoid any resolution on repairing her car and gone to depths of overpricing the repair costs , trying to say it's damaged beyond repair although their own assessor said it was a joke and would repair relatively easy and at less than half these clowns claim , the minute dent and scuff and crack on the edge of the bumper , saying it was a £6,000 repair so even though the car is almost like new they want to write it off and the remaining finance would suck it all up .
Avoid these people at all costs .

Terrible people to deal with even to set up policy. Can't interpret license info, contiually insisting I hadn't been driving before 1975 and wanting extra £54.18 because of this. £50 of this was administration charge, Extortionate in itself. Cancellation fees also extortionate, so paid up & stuck with them for a bit of peace from their constant hassling.
Hope don't have to make a claim, God knows how they would handle that, not well by other reviews. Will change at best oportunity.
An update on this situation, I have escaped from these people, and they have agreed to refund £619.91 of the £668.91 I Paid them. They however want 28 days to process this. Needless to say I am still awaiting this.
A similar situation in the past with the more reputable Swinton had the refund back in the relevant account within 4 days.
I think this speaks for itself
