Never even started work for SSCL via this company!

Never even got the chance to start work! I applied for a role in good faith in October 2019. I attended an assessment centre and an interview at a swish hotel in Croydon. I passed this. I was then invited to a second interview in November 2019 at a Police building in West Brompton which I also passed and was then offered a job, on the basis I passed vetting. This took 3 months before someone from the police building where I would be working wrote back to say that due to a technicality I had not passed vetting. Apparently I had once returned a library book late and this meant that I had failed this part of the process. I then lodged an appeal by letter and sent this back. The appeals process is interminable. I had not heard anything for 2 months since then, but did eventually receive an email from an unnamed, and again disembodied automated vetting response service with the Police who notified me that matters will be pushed back even further due to the pandemic. Though this last factor is unavoidable it has been largely a waste of time to apply for SSCL through Soprasteria. If I get another job offer I will be turning down the chance to work for these people as it has been a time-consuming process that has lead nowhere fast. Complete waste of time!

This is ridiculously bad company I…

This is ridiculously bad company I don't have horrible words for them to describe. I was been giving an appointment on 7th of December at Manchester library went there on time parked car obviously paid for parking and been told appointment is been cancelled due to local issues, rebook again on 10th of December to fountain Street and same again appointment cancelled I can't share my feelings how annoyed I am now I am been given another appointment for January 2021. I don't have any confidence going for that. Don't know why home office using these people for capturing finger prints. This is absolutely unreliable company with very rude staff. Bad than gumtree eBay. Absolutely ridiculous firm excusing Covid 19 drama.

This is an absolutely ridiculous…

This is an absolutely ridiculous service for the naturalisation process. Not only is it expensive, but it doesn't even match the HOME Office's official list of documents. Also once you book an appointment you can't even look for an alternative one without cancelling the existing one. Absolutely ridiculous

Extremely unreliable and unprofessional…

Extremely unreliable and unprofessional service. Home Office refuses to take responsibility for their commercial partner and process the refund for the services they did not provide. Chargeable Help Line of Sopra Steria gives misleading information resulting in delays in processing applications. It is really surprising that Home Office continues to outsource their responsibilities to Sopra Steria when clearly they are not capable of providing a satisfactory level of service.

I had to phone their help line

I had to phone their help line, they had me 1 hour and 20 minutes there and the phone bill came a few days ago... 40 pounds for that call!!! This is a extorsion and very disappointing. They shouldn´t be allowed to do that. I wouldn´t be surprise if all the information they displayed was confusing on purpose so that you had to phone them and pay more...

We have finally managed to submit our…

We have finally managed to submit our documents today after months of waiting.

Here are some tips from our experience:

1. If you need to speak to Sopra Steria do not dial the paid number displayed on the company's homepage 08448920232 but rather dial free number they send you by email 03301231199. Both connect to the exact same group of people.

2. Unless you are unsure about your documentation, I wouldn't pay for checking service - approx £70, because we were just asked if we had uploaded all required docs and if you say yes, they won't even look at your pack despite the fact they were paid for it.

3. We were in and out in 12 minutes. They take your photo, finger scan, check if you have uploaded docs and off you on your way.

4. The appointment was bang on time and staff were helpful.

5. Only applicant is allowed inside. No company.

Good luck!

Website is atrocious

Not sure what the point of this review is. You, like everyone else are stuck with them...who else is going to process the biometrics for you visa renewal? But maybe, maybe they'll read it and improve or the government will find a better provider - we can only hope!
The website was obviously built by a 10 year old. You can't log on with the correct details....you CAN log in with the incorrect password (did that once...wow). Keeps telling you the website is down or experiencing difficulties. Need to upload your documents? Yes you do, or you pay extra on top of the already hefty fee for the additional service. Prepare to lose hours and hours of your life trying to upload documents that should take 5-10min. The site keeps going down or doesn't upload the docs. Amateur hour at chip shop.

Horrible

Horrible, just horrible! These guys do not answer your emails, you will spend absolutely ages on the phone and to get the appointment is a mission impossible. I don't think they have computers in their offices, they probably still using the clay tablets to process your requests, this would be the only explanation of the humongous queues (and DON'T blame COVID!, it was always like that). The whole approach looks more like some sort of legalised scam!

Unhelpful Scammers

- their enquiry form has been "currently unavailable" for the past 3 days
- I called their overpriced phone number, charged me £5, I was on hold for 10 minutes and I've got disconnected
- absolutely unhelpful and shame on the Home Office too for not having a direct line and forcing us to connect with these scammers

Taking advantage of the whole covid-19 situation
Charging £10 just to check appointment availability!
Charging disgusting high cost for free of charge services in this pandemic situation
Rude customer services
I genuinely hope the leaders of this company/ senior management would burn in hell with their whole family
You are sickening and hoping you would get karma
