We suffered a water leak from our airing cupboard on 7th September. Things don't last for ever, so no big deal. Called Sovereign emergency number, and after 3 attempts, my call was answered. We were informed that a plumber would attend within 24 hours. And true to their word, we had 2 x Transit vans and 2 x plumbers. Brilliant. Then it all went down hill. Both "plumbers" said in was a heating engineers job, and that they would pas the job on. I was sure that water leaking from Copper and brass fittings would be covered by a Plummer. So they left. Then a few hours later a "Heating Engineer" arrived. He asked if we had gas,? NO We don't was my reply. He said he had driven down from Swindon, and it was a job that required a "PLUMBER". So we received a call on 9th September, saying that a "PLUMBER" was calling on 12th September to fit the part that was leaking. and that it would take around 4 hours. So booked time off work, and true to their word, a "PLUMBER" arrived. He looked at the job, and said " I thought i could just tighten it up, as I DON'T HAVE THE PART" he then left, and an hour later called to say he had ordered the part, and he would call again on Wednesday 18th September. I am now waiting for Laurel and Hardy to arrive. So 4 different people, 4 transit vans driving around, a half day off work, and STILL NOT REPAIRED. Cold water only from the one tap in the kitchen, in this days and age!!!! What a waste of Sovereign money.Who manages these people. Should be shot. I nearly always get repairs done privately and pay. It is cheaper than keep having time off work, for jobs not to be carried out.
UPDATE. The plumber called today, 18th Sept as arranged. With the right part and fitted it. So far so good.

Would choose zero stars. Waiting months for any reply after being overcharged for services. Raised stage 1 complaint. Partially upheld. Taken them another year to forget to refund me. Barely any communication from them. Escalated to stage 2 and again waiting over a month to hear back. Having to get housing ombudsman and MP involved just to get Sovereign to reply to my calls, emails, on line contact forms. I would never choose to be housed with them!

my land lord is Sovereign,i have sent 2 nice emails about,harassment and distress,and they can't be bothered to do anything get back to me,or even send me a email back,they are just as bad as the health service,go and send a boy to do a mans job omg,i have told some people about this,and they are on the case to clear me name,and sort this out,lack of care and decency,and a big joke,and and playing with peoples feeling,out of order,i would not get out of my bed in the morining working for them,even if they paid me money for my job omg.

I’ve been waiting for two repairs on my house from Sovereign SNG every time the repairs get cancelled and put back. I keep asking them. Why do you keep cancelling the repairs and I get no answer I am really fed up with this outfit. They are useless they don’t listen, to you I’ve made two complaints to them. It still doesn’t make any difference. Sovereign SNG The worst company to deal with I have ever known

I am very satisfied with Markie the young plumber who. came to fix my bath tap, He was very polite very caring and listened to what I wanted I am an old lady not in good health so it was my pleasure to have Markie here if I ever needed a plumber again I hope Sovereign will send me Markie. Many thanks Markie you are doing a good job.

Sovereign housing association (formerly network housing) are a disgusting organisation.
My nan has is in a care home so we are selling her house to pay for the home. We have a buyer (we have had plenty, those have dropped out due to the time it has taken), sovereign are dragging their feet, refusing to sell.
They are doing this because they want the opportunity to seize the home if she falls behind on her rent. This is absolutely disgusting behaviour from an established housing association. They refuse to acknowledge us or our solicitors.
I am taking this to the ombudsman and will be putting reviews and telling of my nans situation to all that will be in the process of possibly buying a home through them. Disgraceful organisation.

They allow the illegal parking issue to last for 1 year until now it has not been solved yet. No reply at all.

I'm not surprised how bad this company and the staff are when I saw the average rating is merely 1.6.

Absolute joke. If you tell them roof tiles are falling off the porch they’ll take months to send someone out, then say they didn’t realise doing work on a roof would require a ladder or a second person, so go away again. Then they’ll reschedule to come back - three or 4 months later but they don’t actually come back. Then they’ll give you another date 3 months into the future. Don’t hold your breath, they’re most likely not coming to do the repair.

The worst housing Association in the country , I’ve experienced serious bullying both mental and emotional, since I moved in just over a year ago . But I’ve experienced Nothing but bullying tactics from sovereign, emotional blackmail all because I reported my bullying neighbours.. and as I’ve told sovereign I want to move out , I’m being emotionally blackmailed to stay .. I’ve been so unhappy living in such terrible conditions .. sovereign housing our no better then bullies simple as that .

My Niece is currently living in a Motel with her two children while waiting for Social Housing. She has been in a motel without any cooking facilities for 4 months!
In the last 5 weeks Sovereign Housing have TWICE offered my Niece a house, and TWICE Sovereign Housing have reneged, eventually informing her that they would be selling the properties!!
How can they get away with this? People are desperate for homes, and they are selling housing stock!
The mental stress is horrifying.

Please don't make the mistake of renting from sovereign. Utterly useless in every way. I was stuck with a leaking roof on the verge of collasping for months because their empolyees lack basic communications skills. I moved out in the end because they refused to do anything.

Just how many property inspection visits do they need???
Offered a new tenancy, housing officer needed a visit to see property was in hood condition, came took photos, agreed on required repairs and said goodbye.
24 hrs later a lettings officer and manager want to do ANOTHER inspection visit, take same photos again, I've told them no, and forget about the promised move.
Surely this is harassment

I am having nothing but problems with this housing repair s not done they change the dates without telling me it’s been going on for over a year. A freeze,no cold house I am disabled and I need a bungalow as I can’t do the stairs so I live in one room in my bedroom they put vents in the loft and moved all the insulation around and now it’s cold air coming in this house don’t stay warm and I can’t ford to keep topping my meter up I have had no gas for 3 days just a little heater I have damp in bedrooms and in front room water comes in the front door when it rains water running down front of the house my garden you have to go out front door along the path to get to the garden as there is no back door it’s not safe at night when I got to take my little dog for her last wee I fell on the stairs as the stairs sudden drooped and I broke my ankle and cheek bone and bruises everywhere this was 5 months ago still not fixed right as big gaps on the stairs I don’t feel safe I have now written to my MP

I would like to express my gratitude with sovereign. If there was ever an issue with anything they would sort it out straight away. I would highly recommend the company!

Terrible company, left my elderly father living in a mould infested house then forced him out to go rent privately.

I was with Silva and Warned not to go anywhere near Sovereign but I was desperate and needed a ground floor apartment because of my health,Well its got 10 times worse since moving to a Sovereign ground floor flat,flooded twice,Stress and Major Anxiety and panic attacks because Sovereign doesn't check its potential tenants and no probationary period,
Sovereign has Wrecked an entire Estate that for nearly 4 years was the nicest and quietest part of the estate.
Got myself a ground floor back up north,it may be Grimm up there but people like The Old Beth Johnson housing association don't mess about,
Your a nuisance,Your Gone!!! END OF!!!
My time frame won't let you go back year's but its been year's of neglect.

I am changing my review from a negative one. Where I mentioned that I had been offered a property but had not heard anymore information about it. The property had to have full redecoration and wasn’t ready for several weeks. However, I have now been to view the property and I am very impressed with the work that’s been carried out, the politeness of staff and all involved who have helped me with my new home! Thankyou sovereign ☺️
