Fantastic service again.
I called yesterday about my temperamental bathroom extractor fan, and it was replaced with a more modern efficient one today. The lovely electrician had to go get a different one, as the replacement wouldn't allow my bathroom door to close. But it was all completed quickly!

I have been with these housing people for almost 2 years I have put on many repairs and only one has been completed had a water leak down side of the walls and now causing damp still not trun up waited to get front door fixed over a year and yes I have rang many times they don’t turn up now I’m doing exchange and been told there 3 months delay there behind I am lonely my family are in Wiltshire I suffer from depression and anxiety and this isn’t helping me I am on higher depression tablets now but they haven’t started working yet and now they have merged with another company and it’s worse it’s a joke this housing company they don’t help at all WE SHOULD ALL WRITE TO THE MP AND COMPLAIN TO THE OMBUDSMAN IM DOING EXCHANGE AND THE OTHER SIDE HAVE DONE ALL THERE PART AND MY HOUSING HAVE DONE NOTHING. EVERYONE WE NEED TO TAKE A STAND AND MAKE THEM BE FINED AND TAKE ACTION AGAINST THEM AS THEY HAVE GOT AWAY WITH ALL THESE PROBLEMS FAR TOO LONG !! They don’t care if you owe £6 in rent there soon on your back shame on them !!!!
Repair outstanding since January 2023
Water is coming through two window surrounds when it rains. Reported to Sovereign in Basingstoke in January this year. Appointment scheduled for March. That got rescheduled (by text) to July. I complained and it got brought forward to June! That appointment also got rescheduled (again by text) to October. Guess what? A text late afternoon on the day of appointment rescheduling to February 2024! You couldn’t make this up! Walls are wet and mouldy. Nobody has had the courtesy to call me. No option now but to get it fixed myself and then once walls are dry and mould cleared up, to redecorate. I shall be looking to Sovereign to reimburse me. I shall also be forwarding everything to the Housing Ombudsman. Shame on you, Sovereign.
Repairs are a shambles!!
If you need a repair doing they will send someone out at least 3 times to inspect it first.. 3 times for us to be told the exact same thing.. left for a year with mould in our disabled kids bedroom! Now we have a bathtub that has rusted through.. theres a hole you can stick your finger in! Again with 3 vulnerable and disabled people in this house, an autistic child who will stick his finger in it and probably get tetanus, and they do not care. It's been inspected once already and today after being told its being fixed, we now find out its just another inspection!! It's a waste of time and money, poor management leads to this. We've also had repairmen turn up for these inspections without being told in advance, no text, email or phonecall for either myself or my husband. One man who came to sort our loft out took one look, said, "sorry I don't have a ladder so I can't do it" and left!! It's an absolute shambles and whoever is incharge or scheduling repairs should be sacked.. it's not good enough..

8 leaks from flats above. Poorly maintained building by my landlords Sovereign. All the social housing flats in this property need work and updating.
This time front door completely wet from leak above had to get an emergency carpenter to get the door open.
Sovereign do not finish repairs when they start them. Erect scaffolding to repair windows then the works are not done! What a waste of money. Obviously tax payers and Isle of Wight council have to cover this.

My mother lived in her flat for 20yrs, she is disabled, despite raising concerns about safety they refused to look at her bathroom, rusty hand rails& room unsafe not fit for purpose. They refused to replace her kitchen which was appalling. No care no support so mum had to leave! What was supposed to be sheltered housing for elderly disabled when she moved in saw the warden be removed, saw the pull alarms removed saw a change in criteria to live there.

Sovereign are one of the most incompetent companies I have the misfortune of dealing with.
I am attempting to purchase a property in Bristol which they manage. They were supposed to answer my solicitors simple questions on the management pack within the industry standard 2 weeks. We are now on week 11 and Sovereign has yet to answer a single question.
They will cause my mortgage application to lapse and result in me needing to reapply and likely incur higher interest rates.

My daughter and fiancé have sold their flat in Bristol in April which they now own outright. They have been waiting months for a management pack from Sovereigns legal team to be able to complete. They are now paying a full mortgage on their flat and a rental in London. The only thing delaying this is a Management pack to be sent to their solicitors. Why the delay when it should be a relatively easy document to produce. Are they being penalised for having being able to buy their property? No answers are forthcoming from Sovereigns legal team.It is now affecting my daughters existing mental health problems for what should be a straightforward document to provide. Judging from the reviews on this site they are not fit for purpose. If you are thinking of selling your property take note

Absolute joke ! They put new doors in and removed part of the wall which left bare concrete showing and only offered to replace part of the carpet . Waited over 3 months for this decision . Also waited 15 months for them to replace a bath panel . Quick enough to take your money . Be different outcome if I wasn’t English !

Never repair anything. And you have to wait months for men to come out and not repair things too. I moved from rooftops to sovereign. Rooftop was so much better on choosing company's to work with on repairs..
Why so bad?
They lie... So much!!!
They tell different people different things on the same problem to cause issues between residents.
Their intention appears to be to cause conflict between residents, they think it's a game or what I don't know but it's dispiicable.
They are slow to respond (months). Their complaints procedure is a joke.
This is the worst company I have dealt with ever in anything. Drug dealers and extortionists are less corrupt than these scum.
There is nothing positive to say about them, believe me I always try to do a balanced review but there is zero positive things to say about sovereign

Extremely Happy with New Accommodation
I've been a tenant for 10 months now, and transferred to a studio room just over 2 weeks ago, extremely pleased with the accommodation. Very bright, spacious and really lovely.
I want to say a big thank you to the 2 Sovereign staff who helped with the transfer, they were extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating, could not be happier.
The only small gripe I have is with the other tenants, who could be a bit more considerate regarding noise. There are a lot of people here over 3 floors, who work different shifts, perhaps the noisy ones should remember that when they are trying to sleep!

Disappointed …
I was offered a Bungalow in December 2022 I was not able to view it until January 2023
It was a void and I knew that it would be a refurbishment and likely not start work until after April as that is when the financial year starts . I worked for a Housing Association so I know how it works I have also worked a a housing related support worker for many years
It seems there is a general malaise regarding social housing properties and it’s tenants
My issue is I’m still waiting for a moving date and when a new roof is being installed Surely when it’s a void there needs to be a proper inspection carried out including the roof .
Stop worrying about new properties and look after the ones you already have !
I’ve long since realised Social Housing tenants are treated like second class citizens A sad reflection on today’s society

Almost at 42 days of exchange process to be told we are 112 in a queue of 190 no rough timeframe given and no case worker will be allocated until top of the queue
said they will give a decision on the 42 nd day but how can they without doing the required checks other housing association has completed there checks and are awaiting sovereign to respond to them which they have not replied
A disgrace for this to happen
Why not get more staff clearing the back log caused by sovereign not allowing exchanges for 3 months
