Tim Parry at Speke Travel designed the trip of a lifetime for us in Tanzania with Asilia Africa. He responded to our many, many emails within a day (we are in California, USA, he's in the UK) in spite of our very different time zones. His advice and recommendations were all excellent, and we followed all of them. We can't imagine working with anyone who could have been more helpful and sincere in their effort to give us the best trip at the best price. We are forever grateful to have found him and highly recommend him to anyone seeking a safari in Africa. He is nothing less than outstanding as a travel agent.

Tim Parry was our advisor, and he was a true professional with the experience required to navigate an African Safari for two couples traveling together but had some different needs. He was patient, thorough, informative, knowledgeable, and sensitive to the type of travel and experience we were looking for. He made us feel comfortable asking very basic questions and provided a wealth of information on a variety of subjects. He was quick to respond to our queries, and you could tell that he took time to answer our questions. The travel documents were detailed and organized. While there are many travel arrangements we can all do ourselves these days, Africa is huge and the experiences are unlimited, and we would not have been able to plan and execute this trip without Tim.

Tim's organisation was faultless. All his recommendations were excellent. He provides a very personal service. Communication was first class. We had a quote from a big-name company - opting for Speke Travel saved us a fortune. I would have no hesitation in using Speke Travel again.

Tim did an excellent job of arranging a very fulfilling holiday. The animals and scenery in Namibia were fantastic. Great holiday of a lifetime.

The 10day experience was amazing! From Johannesburg to Honeyguide Mantobeni safaris, Cape Town highlights to wine tasting in Stellenboch-all transfers were seamless. Speke has a strong network with South Africa!

I found Speke Travel by chance 2 years ago, when first planning a bespoke safari & beach holiday. It specifically had to be in Tanzania as that was my birthplace & this was to be a nostalgic return trip after 55 years, & the first African experience for my husband. As soon as I spoke with Tim I was confident that he understood exactly what I wanted. Unfortunately, it all had to be put on hold due to health issues. We returned 2 weeks ago from the most amazing holiday of safari at Lake Manze Tented Camp in Nyrere National Park, then onto Pongwe Beach Hotel in Zanzibar & a final night in Stone Town. Tim's recommendations couldn't have been more perfect as he personally visits every site Speke Travel features. It was a very emotional journey for me, & my husband has well & truly been bitten by the Africa bug! Tim's passion for Africa, his expertise & above all, his patience are outstanding. I felt reassured at every stage & wouldn't book with anyone else on our return to Africa.

Due to changing circumstances I found myself needing to craft a custom itinerary in Namibia based around some already fixed times and destinations - definitely not an off the shelf holiday, and under time pressure as well.

Tim from Speke Travel was more than up to to the task. His experience of (and enthusiasm for) the country is obvious - after an initial email and introductory phone call to discuss my needs he put together a self-drive itinerary that ticked all my boxes, organised accommodation and car hire and put up with a barrage of questions over the following weeks.

It was my first time visiting the country but Tim's planning meant that I was never left wondering what the next step would be - from airport pickup to car hire it all ran like clockwork (right down to supplying a road map with detailed driving directions)

I'll definitely be recommending Speke Travel to anyone who wants a Safari experience.

Tim is an excellent, knowledgable and responsive travel agent. He organised our trip to Botswana Namibia ( Zambezi region) and Vic Falls very well. He was thoughtful in his choice of accommodation and kept in touch throughout and during the holiday. When there was an issue with one of our transfers he sorted it out efficiently and we were compensated immediately by the on the ground agency. We felt safe and secure with him and would definitely use his services again and recommend him wholeheartedly.

Found Speke Travel on the internet, having looked at bigger companies first. Tim was able to tailor make our trip of a life time to Tanzania and Zanzibar. He listened carefully to our requests and always answered our queries promptly. It was a pleasure dealing with him. Great personal service.

Absolutely agree with the 5* reviews. Tim listened carefully to my wife's mobility issues and spent extra time ensuring we had the most appropriate accommodation and the easiest access room there.
His replies were super prompt, clear and helpful. I made an error with the flights and he happily spent time sorting it even though nothing in it for him

We were a little apprehensive visiting Namibia,we are travellers but have never done a road trip and self safari in Africa before!.I found Tim on the internet and he really is someone "who does what it says on the tin".All information he gave us was spot on,he replied promptly and always followed up on any queries we had.On arrival at Windhoek there were two jolly men to meet us and took us to our accomodation.The vehicle hand over was very thorough and she gave us confidence with a hilited map and mobile phone.I had to whatsapp her and she replied immediately. All lodges that Tim booked were amazing,I honestly cant recommend him more highly...Rhona & 5 mates

I recently went on a safari with a group of friends that was tailor made by Tim to fit a budget and ensure that we had a true African safari experience.
The entire trip was amazing …everything went to plan with no hitches

The fact that our missed flight was rearranged so quickly and with out fuss was fantastic and saved us a load of hassle. Couldn’t recommend Speke Travel enough.

My initial request to Speke was a Safari, Horse Riding and the Wine region. Tim put together such an inviting trip that 2 friends decided to tag along with us! We were booked on a super unfenced safari on a private reserve where we spotted the Big 5. Then on to Ants Nest, having read about this in horse magazines, Tim really hit the spot here, the hospitality was superb. Then we were off to the Wine region just outside Cape Town and a wonderful boutique guest house where nothing was too much trouble.
We cannot thank Tim enough for this great trip, the attention to deal was superb and the arrangements were spot on. Our initial flight was 1.5hrs late leaving the UK, this and very long delays at Johannesburg meant we missed the on-going connection. Tim was extremely responsive to an early Sunday morning text and before we knew it, we were on the next flight to begin our safari adventure. All the flights, car hire bookings and accommodation arrangements were first class.
We are now looking at travelling again to other parts of Africa and will definitely be calling upon the first class knowledge and expertise of Speke Travel.

Having never been on a safari trip, I was apprehensive about the logistics and arrangements. Based on a friend’s advice we booked through Tim at Speke Travel. His advice and assistance with booking arrangements were absolutely essential to making our trip a tremendous success. The accommodations were excellent and the numerous safari outings that were included went beyond my expectations. Each of our three locations had daily activities arranged by Tim. Each one was more impressive than the last. The logistics to move us from one location to the other (across international borders) went perfectly. I have already recommended his services to friends and will continue to do so.

Tim was the most incredible support to us on arranging the most outrageously wonderful honeymoon in Namibia. We travel a lot and had high standards but a limited budget to spend following the wedding. Tim was super responsive, incredibly knowledgeable and really listened to everything we were looking for, working so hard to tailor the perfect itinerary and accommodation for us. Unlike every other travel agent we reached out to Tim was respectful of our budget and never pushed us to spend more than we were comfortable, always presenting multiple options for us. He not only supported with all our travel and accommodation arrangements but was able to provide really tailored advice and tips and went out of his way to arrange extra excursions and restaurant bookings as requested. He thought of ALL the small details we definitely would have overlooked if booking ourselves and we felt so cared for throughout the booking process and the trip itself.

We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you use his services. 5 stars isn’t a high enough rating.

We have just returned from our holiday to Tanzania & Zanzibar. We stumbled upon Speke Travel whilst looking for a company to book a bespoke safari and beach holiday and we could not have been more pleased with the expert knowledge and advice that we received. Tim arranged our safari in Tanzania arranging the most amazing tour guide and varied accommodation as we toured across the country, including a light aircraft flight and then on to Zanzibar. He was always on hand responding quickly to any questions during the booking process and beyond. Outstanding.
