I am absolutely annoyed! Placed my first order day before yesterday and paid for next day delivery to get a family sized tup of Nido! Upon delivery, I didn’t see this item in my box and contacted the team via chat. Someone called Adrianna called me and said I should look again as she is sure she put it in my order. I sent pictures of the damaged box and kept in touch since yesterday morning. I was told that I would hear back yesterday with regards to this and that they’re investigating what happened! Chat after chat, after chat and no one is responding anymore! What kind of service is this? I have a 17 month old and my young niece and nephew at home that are depending on this and I could not make it to the shops, hence my order and I’m speechless at how shabby I’ve been treated since. It’s unacceptable to not answer me anymore! Will contact Trading Standards about this as well as attempt to charge this back through my card provider! Absolutely disgusted!
One item was missing from my order
One item was missing from my order, I sent an email, no response. Beside ls the fact that the delivery driver never came to my house because I was outside the exact time they said they were coming but I had to take a cab to their pick up location for £11. The waterleaf was just sticks just like last time. I called the customer care line endlessly, no response or call back, emailed no response. The rest of the products were okay as should be considering they're edibles.

Living where I do I can't always get what I and my family need or indeed want, but we know an online Afro Caribbean supermarket that delivers and bridges the necessity gap!!!

Items received in good condition, although driver didn't follow instructions and left the box at my front door instead of delivering to my neighbour house number 49.

Given that they have the time to go through their negative online reviews and respond, but have no time to respond to emails , I will complain here. I have not been sent an item for which I have paid, nor have I been refunded. I was told before shipping that this item is out of stock and I told them to refund me which they said they would. Over 3 Weeks later they have not, I emailed them and no response. Irrespective of item prices, the obvious principle remains that missing items should be refunded, I shouldn’t have to chase you to give me what you owe. This is not the first time it’s happened. Adding to this, the fact that my previous order was sent with an item that was OPENED and tempered with, which they have refused to resolve or refund. I contacted them about this and all they said is “rest assured the item was not tempered with”. I ordered a 1KG corndough which they didnt have in that weitht so they sent me a 2kg corndough from which they physically removed 1kg and sent it opened. This is outrageously disrespectful and unnacceptable. I still placed an order after that, but you have shown het again that customer service is not your forte. To make matters worse, i have several times received spoiled items and now enough is enough. These cumulative experiences have been distasteful to say the least and this order was my last with them.
Given the number of afro stores offering excellent product quality and customer service, you should reassess the way you treat customers, as reflected by your reviews.
Extremely poor service
Extremely poor service, wish I could give a minus. I have ordered before and delayed delivery has occurred which was handled professionally. I ordered earlier so it can be delivered promptly but the plantain was overripe and rotting and the cooked asun was spoilt on delivery which took 11days from ordering to delivery. I am very disappointed with this current transaction and hope changes are made as the only way to get African foodstuffs here is to order online.
Conflict resolved
I wrote a review some weeks ago how I was super unhappy about my order. Now, am writing to counter my review because the situation has been resolved.
The manager in particular is one of the most understanding person I know with a good sense of dialogue and resolution!

My issue was around delivery
My issue was around delivery, sent several emails to ask about my order. Got a response on my last email, after I said I have perishables.
The driver came and instead of calling like they did before left with my order, I had to pay an extra £18.5 to get a cab to my place since the post is out of town.
Thinking about this still pisses me off, I wish someone has responded to my emails. The food is okay and I love the yams but I am still livid on how my delivery was handled.
