Do not use

Ordered and paid postage for chilli powder. They sent turmeric instead but with no postage paid. We have now spent £11 on a product we don’t want. No response from customer services.

Used to be good but not anymore

I ordered from them several wks ago and no delivery. Got in touch with them and they informed me that the order would be posted the next wk. Several wks later and nothing arrived. They were good in the past but not anymore; they use the warehouse move as an excuse to delay sending out orders. They should inform customers of this when they're placing an order. Customer service is severely lacking with this company. I won't be ordering from them again. Warehouse move or not they need to deliver if they take payment for an order. I also recieved an email some time ago saying the warehouse move is complete so why are they still telling unhappy customers that they're still moving?? Something doesn't add up there.

Some problems...but sorted.

I've had maybe 10 orders from Spices over a few years without any problems, however I did have a problem with my order from them last week, three of the items were out of stock and the delivery note said "refund to follow" but it didn't.

I got in contact with them via email and expressed my dissatisfaction in fairly direct terms and it was sorted out, I also had an email from the CEO explaining what was happening with the company, I won't go into details here but the short version is there is a warehouse move underway and some other changes within the business, it's not a "scam" outfit, they've been around for years.

I miss them supplying the fresh produce, it was the best source for the small fresh Thai chillies and good quality okra, I hope they get back to supplying the fresh stuff once things settle out.

I'll continue to use them despite the problems this time round.

Order never delivered

Order never delivered. Took money and p&p. Will not respond to email, phone or messaging. Many other people have been ripped off by this scam company. Avoid !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I ordered from them but one item the…

I ordered from them but one item the vicco tooth powder had like a needle hole in top of seal my other item was fine but after trying to phone with no answer then emailed and got a rude response back actually blaming me for it..total liars and irresponsible. On another review site of bad reviews Sam Stevenson put on a good review about this business- and he had been first to reply to my email with his lies- yet he is working in the company that it seems his father set up and who is William Kenneth Stevenson who had Wessex Systems Ltd which is now out of business..all i wanted was to send my damaged goods back to them at no charge but seems they break the law because under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 goods should be of satisafactory quality and fit for purpose,rights are breached if item is faulty. Never have i had any issues with any seller before ever, nor such lies and rudeness. I suggest going through Ebay or Amazon rather than direct to online business at least then you have Alternative Dispute Resolution, and maybe get damaged goods tested by Trading Standards if going near mouth or skin.

Split bag! No replacement!

Order eventually arrived, but a bag of dal was split and some of it had gone into the base of the box. I contacted them by email (twice) asking for a replacement and was told to scoop it up as I was going to wash it anyway! I politely refused! Goodness knows what had been in the box or got into the bag that wouldn't just 'wash' off. Would advise against using this company.

Scam website

Wish I had read the reviews before placing my order.

As others have stated, they take the money and do not despatch the order placed.

I have had to raise a dispute via PayPal, only for the company to then ask that I close the dispute and they'll despatch my order.

Bearing in mind, that before I raised the dispute I attempted to contact them via their website and their Facebook page, the Facebook message was read but ignored.

no way am I closing the only way of getting my money back, once disputes are closed on PayPal I will have no way of getting my money back when they inevitably do not send me my order.

The website is a total scam.

Beware.

Thieves

Thieves! Placed an order online on the 5th of sept but did not receive any confirmation email nor the goods that I ordered have arrived so far. Tried calling, no one responds. Tried messaging on their FB page. The message shows as having been read with a tick appearing at the end, but no response. I am raising an issue with Paypal as I had paid through Paypal.

Avoid this vendor at all costs

Avoid this vendor at all costs. We wished to return a purchase but was unable to speak to any one. Their telephone was just a recorded message directing back to their website- the facility to send a written message did not work. E-mails were not answered. Finally sent the items back .with a request for a refund. However, the post office were unable to deliver them as no one was present at the business address and no one responded to the note the Post office left. Eventually the parcel was returned to us.
A really terrible experience- so beware - if there are any problems with your purchase .......

Very Bad Customer Service

Ordered over 50 quid of stuff nearly a month ago and nothing arriving. Tried to contact this lot on many occasions and had one lame response about technical difficulties. Very poor customer service

Avoid this company

Avoid this company! Ordered a few spices. Received parcell where was missing the most expensive one. RUDE customer service seid that this is imposible, because 2 people check order before packing. That''s only mean that their workers are incompenent. I just lost money. I could order that cheaper in different place.

Avoid like the plague... customer service dreadful!

Well.., the parcel arrived damaged and inside 2 of the jars of garlic had smashed... I emailed asap and the reply I got “was it signed for damaged”..,as I picked the parcel up from the post office I didn’t know I could sign for it “as damaged”... I also didn’t know at that time that there was smashed items ... Afteremailling another 3 more times and me telling them
I will not be purchasing again from them in the future and telling my friends to avoid them ... their reply wss.......

AWFUL Avoid this company.

AWFUL Avoid this company.
Products don't arrive when text message quotes the day or latest day and products arrive days later than supposed to. My product was over two months out of date (jar of mango pickle). Two messages to them and they don't even bother to respond. I am going through PayPal for a refund.
Absolutely zero customer service.
Be warned

Stay clear of these fraudsters!

Don't deliver goods when promised or the agreed speed of delivery.
No Customer service at all.
Go-to-Hell attitude for the poor customer.
Can't be bothered to respond.
Lie through their teeth when they do and treat you with contempt.
STAY AWAY FROM THEM!

Very Fast Delivery On My Latest Order

I use this company on a semi-regular basis (going back several years now) and have no complaints whatsoever. This review is based on my latest order, which I placed at 3.56pm on Monday 3 April, and which was delivered before 9.30am on Tuesday 4 April!

I've no idea how they managed that, but I'm happy they did.
