The sound is really good, but getting only one piano sound is a bummer at the given price point - even given this is the core version. Its more like a demo version. That is being said in the small print, I admit. But I was not aware of that and I cant see any way to upgrade it to the full version.
Doesn’t work and despite repairing, relocating and repeated downloading, my DAW will not find it in BBC SO Pro. I’ve tried using the methods suggested by Spitfire but still not working.
Complete disappointment. I thought it has the same quality as the BBC Orchestra series. It nowhere near that. Even free piano VST sound better.
Excellent piano, recorded at very beautiful place with an amazing accoustic.
I was a little disappointed with the dynamics of the sound and I found it a much lower volume compared to other references
I got this core since it was on sale for a price I could give, and I’m super delighted because I know BBC sounds are worth their price but this is a super nice gift to myself! I’m already loving how it sounds, mix 1 mic does the job quite nicely on its own! I do have the full orchestra set on pro so perhaps in the future I will consider getting the pro for this as well.
To my personal taste, that is my favorite and the best for now Piano library I ever got! I will go for the Pro version at the next sales for sure. Thank you S.A.!
Sonorously realistic piano sound with well calibrated velocity response that fits in well with BBCSO.
Works well with BBCSO core.
Still experimenting but sounds wonderful.
Satisfying sound, very nice f-ff dynamic layers
the sound is present, but the hammering noise requires adjustment in the pass-high, and it's a pity that the CORE version doesn't allow you to select a little more presence in the lower middle of the keyboard.
I think the piano samples sound really great. My only complaint is the volume seems really low compared to other instruments in my DAW. Otherwise it is an absolutely beautiful piano sample library. The different microphone combinations are absolutely fantastic and offer a lot of flexibility.
Bright, well integrated into the BBC SO plugin and nice sounding.
Sounds pretty nice, but the dynamics are pretty bad. Playing really softly doesn't sound too much different from playing a medium dynamic, especially in the lower and upper registers. Also, the piano is extremely quiet overall. Way quieter than any other software instrument so it's annoying to mix with other instruments. I've had to use +10db of gain or compression to make it balance better. I've tried turning down all the other instruments but even on the softest volume they were overpowering the BBC Piano. The piano is also fairly reverby even with the reverb knob at 0%. That being said, the sound/timbre of the piano overall is pretty nice and can work in some contexts.
After watching the walkthroughs, and giving it a go myself. I can confidently say this is worth getting. Very nice sounding, professional as always. Perhaps maybe a future update to add a better dynamic range, but other than that. I highly recommend.
Amazing sound and quality. I like the how easy it is to use.
I purchased many piano libraries over the years but this is one of the best.
Spitfire´s audio BBC Piano has rendered me the opportunity to obtain a pretty satisfactory sound when turning into audio scores written in a program and saved with the extension .mid that at a later time I saved like audio mix and this way being able to enjoy music of quality too little recorded or widely spread. I take the opportunity to ask for a sound of classical guitar quality sound that really I have not found yet. Thank you very much.
