BlankFor.ms Tape Synths is quite frankly far more rich and topically pleasing than I could've imagined. The sounds are creamy and full of body and harmonics. They shift in sound and shape as you ride the dynamics up and down. This means you get triple the samples and triple the blends. Out side of some major synth competitors this standalone library is quickly becoming my toolbox favorite. All genres including cinematic and trailers are on the board when composing with this library. Great for dripping off of some drill beats or carrying the undertone of a scene or cue. I can't tell you how much this library has become a diamond in the rough among Spitfires Artist line. Easy GUI and on-board controls allow for quick scoring and sculpting. I got the BlankFor.ms Tape Synths plugin as part of the Producer Selects Bundle for $80 with OPW, Abe Loriel Drums, and Intimate Strings. This and OPW were my fav of the bundle and were immediately inspiring. The SA app looks so much better than Kontakt to me, and is a breeze to use/broswe. I just wish I could play this without turning on my DAW to open the app like I can Kontakt, but that's a minor issue. This one comes with presets/instruments for synthy pads, keys, and warped arpeggiations, and also includes a large number of artist presets from BlankFor.ms. You get ADSR control as well as verb and "start point" to alter where in the sample the attack begins, which is great for some of the slower developing sounds. On initial open I had a lot of fun scrolling through sounds (and favoriting nearly all of them). I found this a much more enjoyable experience than the filler that came with my Kontakt Standard/Select bundles. The sounds here are actually compelling and engulfing. There are synthy sounds that don't just sound like digital garbage (I'm looking at you Retro Machines mk2!).

Tape Synths, to me are somewhat in a world to themselves. If you let them into your project, just beware, kinda like a glass of wine, maybe two, if it brings a smile, jump in.
