Poorly Cat
The website isn't easy to use when wanting the vet paid directly. When I took the policy out I missed the part which said If I wanted medication covered i had to pay extra, that wasn't very clear either. To top it off when my cat had to be put to sleep they didnt cover the cremation either.

We also appreciate your comments around the claims process and cover details. If you’d like the vet to be paid directly, you just need to tick the 'Pay the vet directly' option on the claims form.
Regarding medication and cremation cover: take-home medication is covered under our optional Health Booster, which can be added to your policy at any time. Cremation costs, however, are not covered under our policy wording, this is in line with most pet insurance providers.

Spot on were very quick in sorting out my claim. It was easy & straight forward to arrange, just had to give my veterinary practice details & Spot on contacted them direct . They also cancelled the policy on my behalf after the loss of my beloved boy Othello.

I claimed on my pet insurance. Spot On assessed my claim and paid exactly what was due based on my policy. Payment was made in good time. Excellent company to deal with.

I’ve been insured for my dog since 2023
I’ve been insured for my dog since 2023. Upon now trying to make a claim they have advised that my policy has been void since the start because in 2014 ( yes 11 years ago) he had to be muzzled for a routine yearly booster as he was likely to bite and vet notes showed that he was very nervous.
Their response says that aggression should have been declared. I have since been back onto their website and taken out a new policy and at no point does it give me the option to have declared this aggression
The policy is an absolute joke. He has therefore never been coveted, yet they were happy to have taken my money yet I feel I’ve been unfairly treated as they could have covered if I had declared, but was not given this option

Thank you for your feedback; we appreciate you taking the time to share your concerns.
Unfortunately the vet records show numerous behavioural entries from 2014 to more recent July 2023 with some indicating very difficult or impossible to examine and risk of harm.
When you purchased your policy, this was done via a comparison website, which makes it clear that a quote can only be provided if your pet has no history of aggressive behaviour. Had you said yes to the aggression question, we would not have returned a quote for cover. This point is also made very clear in the assumptions on our website before you fill out your bank details and purchase the policy.
I can see that you have now raised a formal complaint. This will be reviewed independently, and the complaints team will thoroughly investigate the matter to ensure nothing was missed or error made.
The claims process made simple
The claims process with vet practice assistance was simple, easy and very stress free after a traumatic veterinary dog health issue.

How quick spot on is to process the claims, especially during such difficult times in dealing with my dog health. Really 5 service, fast response and communication.
