Sri Lankan Dreams

We have just got back from a fabulous 2 weeks in Sri Lanka with this wonderful company. From the very beginning Sarah who is the Business Administrator in London, organises your tailor made itinerary according to your budget. She is very efficient and responds to your emails very promptly. Her husband Farzaan also runs the company and is based in Colombo. Our driver's name was John and he picked us up at the Airport. He was a very special man and could not do enough for us. We immediately got on well with him and this continued throughout the holiday. He made sure that we were looked after at all times and took us to exchange our money. He was very professional and his knowledge of the country was outstanding. He spoke very good English and was always prompt at every pick up. He goes above and beyond the call of duty. I can thoroughly recommend John as your chauffeur.

We did an 8 day tour and visited the cultural triangle we stayed in 5 different hotels which were all very good. Our favourite places were the tea plantations and Little England. One of our favourite hotels was 98 Acres in Ella. This was a very special place as it was very bespoke and the views through the Ella Gap and Little Adams Peak opposite were truly breath taking. The food in all the hotels were very good and we didn't have one bad meal. Aliya Resort Hotel and Spa in Sigiriya was also amazing as it had amazing views of Sigiriya Rock. The swimming pool was a fantastic design and was suitable for all ages and it was extremely warm to get into.

Farzaan, the owner of Sri Lankan Dreams phoned us a couple of times to make sure that we were enjoying the holiday and being looked after well. A very caring and considerate company.

We visited the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage where you could see the elephants bathing in the river. This for me was one of the highlights of the trip. At the end of our tour we stayed in Unawatuna for 4 nights and 3 days. This was a lovely place to relax. Whilst we were there we visited Jungle Beach, a must as it is beautiful and we also visted Galle. The shops in Galle are worth visiting as you can pick up some nice souvenirs.

This was honestly a holiday of a lifetime for us and we could not have had a better holiday anywhere else. If you are thinking of booking with Sri Lankan Dreams, then please do not hesitate, as they are a trustworthy, very friendly and reliable company. Thank you very much to Sarah, Farzaan and John our chauffeur for a wonderful time.

We have been in Sri Lanka some years ago and, as we liked it very much, we (my husband, I and my sister) planned to return again there to visit a little bit more of this splendid island. So, we began to look for a Travel Agency which could help us (we didn't want to contact that one through we travelled last time for reason that I prefer not to write here). At the end we decided to write Sri Lankan Dreams to ask to organize our tour, after reading a lot of positive opinions. The Sri Lankan Dreams answered us in a very short time proposing us a very interesting tour. From that moment all became very simple and at last the day of our departure arrived. Mrs Sarah, who took care of us to organize our holiday was very kind, pacience and efficient and she mailed all necessary travel documents in time before our living. At the airport of Colombo we found our guide/driver who was waiting for us and with him we began our adventure which was perfect. We also appreciated very much the Manager of the Agency who called us several time to know if all was going on well. We thank very much the Manager, mrs Sarah and mr Vipula who has also become a friend as well as being our guide and driver. It is implied that if we return to Sri Lanka in the future we would certainly turn to Sri Lankan Dreams.

Sri Lankan dreams were fantastic from the word go, working hard to stay with in our budget. Making everything open and clear. We were allocated a great driver guide John who was a great driver, knowledgeable guide all done with a great sense of humour. He got the balance between guiding us and allowing us to explore on our own just right. The hotels we stayed in were of varying standards and types but all very good.

We have just returned from a wonderful trip to Sri Lanka lasting 18 nights. Amazing scenery, great hotels, lovely people and wonderful wildlife.
We enjoyed every day.

We had a great trip to Sri Lanka with Sri Lankan Dreams organising it for us. Our Driver and guide Vips was fantastic, knowledgeable and helpful and a great driver, which in Sri Lanka is a great asset. We visited the Cultural Triangle. Ella and then the last 6 nights at Benatota on our own. 14 nights with 5 hotels.

We have just returned from a 10 day tour organised at very short notice by Sri Lankan Dreams. We had a wonderful time - a special thanks to Susantha, our fantastic driver/guide. He took great care of us and did his very best to show us his beautiful country.

Just got home from 16 amazing days in Sri Lanka, organised through Sri Lankan Dreams. What a beautiful, interesting and friendly country. Our Driver Kumara was fantastic and ensured we had a fabulous experience yet took on board that we also wanted some down time to relax and explore areas on our own at times. Journeys were often long, so we really appreciated his knowledge of the country and him stopping so we could taste local produce such as cashews and fruits or take photo's along the way. There was always bottled water in the car for us and if we needed a toilet break it was never a problem. Kumara always made sure we had guides at the temples, rock palace etc and arranged good drivers for the two safari's we did. Highlights for us were seeing elephants with babies up close, a leopard and numerous other animals in their natural habitat. We stayed at 8 different hotels and all were of a great standard. Neither of us partially like very spicy food which we were really worried about but there was always something on the menu's that we enjoyed in the hotels. Eating outside of the hotels is a different story as most food is quite spicy. Again Kumara recommended restaurants that suited our tastes so we were still able to enjoy some of the local restaurants. Sarah and Farzaan have been brilliant. Sarah was brilliant at taking on board our budget and the type of tour we wanted. She always replied to our queries promptly and was very friendly and helpful. Whilst in Sri Lanka Farzaan contacted us several times through our driver to ensure we were enjoying the trip and up dating us on details of our next hotel etc. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a suite at Thaulle resort and Farzaan arranged an upgraded meal plan at Centara Ceysands Resort which meant we got free local drinks for 3 hours during the evening meal period. These little extras were really appreciated and for us made Sri Lankan dreams stand out against the many other tour companies. We had approached another company which a friend had recommended, when they sent us their first plan we wrote back asking for some changes and requesting three days beach time at the end of the tour, we never heard back from them! Nothing was a problem for Sri Lankan dreams any adjustments we wanted were arranged. Thank you Sri Lankan Dreams for a holiday of a life time. Highly recommended.

Thank you Sri Lanka Dreams, we had an amazing time in Sri Lanka. Everything went to plan as per your timely itinerary with plenty of opportunities for us to do all what we wanted to. Our tour guide Shihan was an absolute star and his exemplary professionalism, safe driving, knowledge of culture and history made our tour over and above what we expected. All the hotels we stayed in where to a high standard and in good localities for the sights we wanted to see. Visiting the Rain Forest and getting close to nature was probably one of our favourite excursions and it was very special to see places like Dambulla, Polonnaruwa and Temple of the Tooth as well as see so many elephants! The holiday organized by Sri Lankan Dreams was excellent, from the resorts and the special places that were recommended to us to visit.
Our only criticism was the driver having been to the airport for a drop off before picking us up in Colombo on our first day out, was very exhausted on the long drive to Sigiriya and his driving became concerning.

Enjoyed the trip organised by Sri Lankan Dreams, the guide went out of his way to make sure that we say everything that we wanted and that we had a good time.

The tour was not well planned. I was not impressed with paying a higher price than quoted to do things. Tour guide did not give me too much information on places, I did not feel that I have learn too much about Sri Lanka. I wanted to do a lot of outdoor activities but oddlly cycling Which i specific requested was not on the itenary. My guide was in constant lower back pain, family drama which I sympathised but he was not present during the whole trip which I find lack professionalism. He was always taking me shopping , which is my least favourite part. I did not feel like this trip was made for me but for them .

Sarah was so great with organising the trip. Everything was so well planned and the communication was great.
Our driver for the trip Vips was awesome. So knowledgeable and friendly.
Overall a great trip and a beautiful country.

Recommended to us by and friend and we found them easy to deal with when planning accommodation and well organised whilst we were there. Hotels were good and driver (Shiral) was excellent. He made the holiday simple with options every dav as to what we could do so we had choice: temples, safaris, treks, shopping etc.

Sri Lankan Dreams lived up to the name, in was just a dream, the driver Deva was very professional and looked after our every wish. The ooking was simple and there follow ups were very welcome. All in All a first class holiday that was tailored to suit us.
