Warning to users in Ghana and other Global South Countries: Undisclosed service restrictions.

I am writing this to warn fellow shoppers in Ghana and other West African nations to be extremely cautious when using Stackry.

I registered for a locker, was assigned a Nashua, NH address, and proceeded to ship over $580 worth of goods from Amazon to their warehouse. At no point during the registration process or on their website was I informed that Ghana is a restricted destination.

It was only after my goods arrived at their facility and I attempted to ship them internationally that I was told they do not ship to Ghana. Their support staff admitted to me that they "turned Ghana off a long time ago," yet their system still allows us to sign up and incur costs shipping items to them.

Due to the result of this lack of transparency:

1. I was had no option but to pay for domestic redirection to a different address in Georgia, USA.

2. wasted my time which affected my business.

3. incurred $66.49 in unexpected fees just to move my goods out of their warehouse.

When I confronted them about the lack of disclosure, their own agent admitted, "you are right it should not let you sign up."

If you are in the Global South, do not trust the registration process to tell you if they service your country. They will take your packages, and then you will be stuck paying high fees to "rescue" your goods because they failed to disclose their regional bans. I have filed formal complaints with the New Hampshire Consumer Protection & Antitrust Bureau and the BBB.

Never using them again.

I wanted to ship essential oils via Stackry and specifically emailed them about this as I know that they are classified as hazardous. I was told that it would be repacked accordingly and that a repackaging fee would apply, but that was all. When it came to paying for my shipment, it cost $144 in shipping because of the essential oils.

I have bought essential oils from the USA (directly from the company) and shipped to the UK before and it was under $30 from the company who used Fedex Economy. I emailed Stackry about this for several days running and tried to discuss this issue in their chat facility.

They did not reply to any of my communications, clearly because they can't come up with an excuse to justify this outrageous cost. I will not be using them again. Super disappointing and unnecessary costs added for their own benefit.

Essential oils are classified as hazardous materials for air transport, which means they require special handling, packaging, and are limited to specific carriers and service levels. These requirements can significantly increase shipping costs compared to standard shipments.

We also understand your comparison to previous shipments directly from the retailer. While we can’t speak to how they are able to offer such low rates, it’s possible they are using specialized contracts, bulk shipping agreements, or different shipping methods. Additionally, current fuel surcharges—now around 37% due to high fuel costs—are contributing to higher carrier pricing across the board.

That said, we recognize that this should have been more clearly communicated upfront, and we regret that we didn’t provide the level of responsiveness you expected while you were trying to make an informed decision.

Not Cost Effective

Cost me $121 CAD (they quote you a price in USD) to ship two tops, 1 pant, and shampoo to Canada! I cannot recommend this service and won't be doing that again!

Great service

Great service. Expensive postage though but gets to Australia fast and the repackaging is excellent. Definitely trust this company had three big packages sent from the us to aus.
