I’m extremely disappointed with…


I’m extremely disappointed with Standard Bank’s lack of proper processes and what feels like blatant hypocrisy when it comes to online security. I declined a transaction, only to discover it was processed anyway—completely unacceptable.

It’s clear that Standard Bank is more focused on internal events and social functions than on ensuring their customers have access to their funds when it matters most. This weekend, I couldn’t even use the mobile app, leaving me without access to my money.

Thankfully, my FNB card—unlike Standard Bank—has never let me down.

Standard Bank, this level of service is beyond frustrating. Perhaps it’s time for leadership, including Sim, to step up and prioritize customer experience over appearances.

Standard bank Funeral Policy department…

Standard bank Funeral Policy department is the absolute worst! The whole of this banks App and Chat line is totally useless. I am trying on the app to reverse and stop ( for the 2nd time) a debit order and to cancel, without any luck. All of a sudde the app does not allow me to and the numbers that Busi, Eugene and Creeanne is giving made e hold the line for 18minutes before I was cut off. I ended up chatting to all 3 these agents, who are absolutely unable to assist. They keep asking me to contact different numbers and email addresses, which I am unable to have success with. WHY is this such a hassle? I dont have time to run around sorting out things like this since I am also employed in a contact centre. The processes for minor things like cancellations, stopping debit orders and reversing small amounts, shoul not be this much trouble. Its an hour later and I am still not assisted succesfully. No man Standard Bank!

With Standard bank loyalty means nothing

I am a client with Standard bank branch Kuils River, Cape Town. I have been trying to activate my account on the mobile app as the internet option was taken away. It has been 2 months now and still not activated. Every time I went into the bank to see a consultant I have to wait for 2 hours. the bank is always full . then you are put online with the 0860.. number which takes another hour as the music only stops to say the consultants in JHB is extremely busy. I had to hear so many different stories even from a manager telling me im too old to use the app, others would say they dont know why it is not working, then someone told me standard bank is not too responsive with yahoo email addresses. So far I paid so much fees in bank charges just getting a statement every time its just unreal.

Abysmal Service from Standard Trust (part of Standard Bank SA and of Standard Bank Group)

I've been waiting for 3 years for Standard Trust to finalise the Estate of my deceased mother. This is "delivering to clients" ? I've raised this issue with Standard Bank Group, with Standard Bank South Africa, and with Standard Trust, many times. I have pages and pages of emails with the staff at Standard Trust. I get promises but, in the end, no action. Part of the problem seems to be that Standard Trust has a high staff-turnover, and management of the operation is completely disinterested.
