Staples is understaffed and its employees are under trained, and the product selection is not the best. In this case it was the closest place I could get what I needed. The ladies room was about what... See more

Made the mistake of stopping there…
Made the mistake of stopping there because the location is convenient. The first representative I dealt with was exceptionally nice and helpful.
Came back the next day to ask a question about my purchase. Got a different Rep. who was arrogant and seemed to not be interested in helping unless I was going to buy something.

I bought an At&T office phone unit on June 16, 2022. The phone has a problem and I didn't report it right away. I called Staples customer service and they are not helpful. They basically said it was my problem and contact At&T. I need the phones to operate my business but now I am forced to send the phone back to AT&T. Beware when you buy something from Staples they are no help. I would shop somewhere else.
Bad experience sends for ups
They lost my packet with a expensive shoes
Horrible customer service by manager/Oxon Hill
Customer service by manager at Oxon Hill branch was horrible. Price was incorrect in register but clearly marked on shelf (verified by store associate). Had to actually verify with store associate, lose my place in line, add almost ten minutes to the time in the store, only to have manager not give any discount by said he would honor the shelf price (which is a no brainer). Manager made no attempt to correct the register price (future customers-check the register closely as many prices aren't being adjusted). Manager lacked customer service skills and was demeaning to female associates (IMHO). Oxon Hill deserves more respectful treatment.
I should have read the other reviews first
I've been a customer for years, but no more. I bought a package of versacheck blanks, but they were the wrong checks. By the time I realized it, I had lost the receipt. My local store gave me a number to call to get a replacement receipt. I was twice promised that a replacement receipt would be received within five business days. Didn't happen either time. I looked for an address to write directly to Staples. There isn't one. I now have a box of blank checks I can't use and Staples has lost yet another long-time customer. Judging from the other reviews I've read on this site, Staples won't care. There's a reason why brick and mortar stores are dying.
Zero Stars!!!
Bought a computer in the winter of 2020 and paid the extra $300 for 4-year full-coverage protection. My computer had issues with randomly not turning on or the screen not working, so I had to send it in to get fixed. Each time the computer would come back missing screws out of the bottom and with visible cracks to the body. When I sent it in the 3rd time, they told me that they could offer me a replacement or reimbursement because my computer is a lemon and they won't fix it anymore. Oh, and also, the remaining 2 and a half years remaining on my warranty? Completely void now, as they feel they've fulfilled their obligation. Their only saving grace was that I was told I could also get my computer back if I wanted to take it somewhere else to pay to get my files recovered (because I couldn't back up my files since the issue was that my computer wouldn't turn on).
Now a week later, I still haven't received my reimbursement, and I just got a phone call from someone telling me that my computer will not be returned to me because it's "unavailable" and that I can accept somebody else's refurbished computer in place of the reimbursement. WHAT??? When I asked her if I could speak to someone else because I was receiving different information than what I was originally told, she said someone else will call me tomorrow and then hung up before I could say "thank you". Is this what I paid for??? Bad tech, lies, and rudeness? Never again.
Asurion is not insurance, it's a ripoff. I've been sold poor-quality tech, with the lie that if I pay extra, my investment will be protected. This is clearly not the case. When my computer broke down several times in a year, they basically just said, "whoopsie, you can have someone else's used stuff though and now we've cancelled the remainder of your warranty period, come back and see us to buy more things though!" This is insane. Do not do business with these criminals.
Rude Staff- Staples Powell Lane, Nashville, TN
Very rude staff. I was looking for ink for a security stamp. The staff I approached gave me a very long vague response to a question and in the end he said, in short, "I'm not sure". When I asked if someone else could help me, he sarcastically and rudely said "Do you want me to call everyone? If I don't know it everyone would give you the same answer." I told him to call everyone until he finds someone who can help me. GM Johan came over, he also didn't know the answer to my question, at least he was very polite and kind enough to help go through the product details to figure out what product I needed. GM Johan saved the day, but I'm still giving this store one star because of that rude staff. There may not be a GM at any given time there so you're left at the mercy of rude staff.
Staples used to be a trusted friend…
Staples used to be a trusted friend before it expanded, going corporate. Staples reward program gave you a few bucks to mitigate price increases, THEN, oops, returning ink cartridges and credits for buying from then began expiring before you could use them. This week I returned an item I bought last week, with an online review form that staples emailed me for the item... not enough for a full refund! Staples couldn't find the receipt on the credit card I used, disregarded the $55 in Staples credits I had and gave me 25% less $ than the purchase price on a giftcard. THAT, after their computer delivered 2 computers to me when I ordered one.... somehow the order went thru twice AND it tooks months to get them to pick up the 2nd computer after hours of arguing with them for a refund/return ON THEIR MISTAKE. Local Staples was great. This outfit ought to be cited under CPA.
Have had numerous bad experiences with…
Have had numerous bad experiences with Staples, at stores and online, to the point I do not use them anymore. They provide assistance in their stores. They keep telling me they cannot hire people. Their shelves are unorganized and often near empty. Better off ordering online from other companies.
Perhaps when ordering online you should…
Perhaps when ordering online you should include a business or residential order and also include whether or not you want to be treated poorly. I tried to order a small order to my residence there was no choice between office or residence and now I've had several calls asking me to make sure someone is home and even when I was home waiting all day three days past when my order was supposed to be here I'm still without my order and very disappointed. Perhaps staples should consider shipping through FedEx or ups at least they know what they are doing.
Upside was
Upside was, product was delivered to my door quickly. Downside was, product was sold by a different company through Staples, so the price guarantee that Staples has did not apply and the product (Swiffer x-large dry sheets) were far more expensive (3x's) than purchasing in a store. Then, sending them back for a refund was a month long nightmare.
What has happened to my staples store…
What has happened to my staples store in Cold Spring, Ky? It’s in disarray with a nearly empty candy display and half empty drink cooler. No was was working the front register. One register was open in the copy center but the guy took so long I left my would be purchases on the counter and left.
I love the copy center and the ups drop off but the whole store looks like sloppy gremlins took over.
Absolutely SHOCKING customer service
Absolutely SHOCKING customer service! I ordered several items, one large item didn't arrive and I had to spend around 5 hours on the phone over 4 separate phone calls and it is still not resolved! Furthermore, another item arrived damaged and after 3 hours on the phone on 3 separate occasions, again, nothing resolved! .ow this company is in business I do not know
Providence RI Staples went to get…
Providence RI Staples went to get Electric Type Writer for my wife. Was suppose to be a Royal didn't like how the box looked so looked inside at the store and content's in the box was a busted smith corona. So after seeing this not one person mentioned well let's see if we can find one at another store almost A $300. disappointment that almost was given a broken purchase. ALL SET WITH THIS STORE COST ME TIME AND FUEL FOR A BROKEN MACHINE.
I was trying to send some documents by…
I was trying to send some documents by scanner. The lack of professionalism experienced at the store was unbelievable. They can’t help a client walk through the process. Very impersonal.
Horrible Customer Service
I had a delivery of items, and I received all but 1 item. I have a proof of delivery for all items with a signature and they still claim they did not receive it. The guy there had such an attitude and then just walked off. He simply blew it off as a carrier issue but there is a signature for the items. We have had this issue several times and each time they have had the item. But this guy gives me attitude every time I come in there. He wasn't even willing to check to see if the item was loose in the back, just said it wasn't there. Just completely disrespectful.
SCAM ALERT
This is my follow up review after the company reached out to me in an email. I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE 40% back on my ink purchases from the beginning of this year. It’s a SCAM and even after they told me they were going to make it write they DIDN’T. I wouldn’t shop there with any amount of confidence of any sort. DON’T FALL FOR IT. Their marketing scams are pity full, and customer support sound desperate to blame the consumer. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND STAPLES to anybody. There’s to many other places to get my supplies
The customer service at the Staples in…
The customer service at the Staples in Warrington, PA is horrendous. Every time I print something it's low quality and has issues to the point where last time the employee told me I should try printing at Walgreens. Last time I came in to pick up a book they printed, I open the envelope and a page fell out of the book, that page had stains all over the black ink and had 3 pages missing. I'm trying to imagine how an employee can look at this and think it's ok to leave this for a customer. I wasted my time and gas driving up there for what? Why didn't they reprint when they saw this? Maybe call me? To pretend like this book had nothing wrong with it and have zero respect for customer's time is just beyond me. When I asked what happened with this page that fell out and had weird stains all over it, the guy looked at me like he was confused and said, "what?" lol I mean what? Like you can clearly see the issues, let's not play dumb please. Just unbelievable. Then he says he printed all of the pages that I gave. Wrong. I watched the other guy upload all 11 pages that I submitted. When then checked the file, guess what, 11 pages were there. Let's take responsibility and pride in our jobs. Here's a suggestion. When you text the customer that their order is ready, also text a picture of the final product.
Now here we are the following day. I called to see if the re-print was finished, it was not which is fine because it's supposed to be done by 8:30 pm. I called at 8:20pm and spoke with Pat. I asked if the order was done and I couldn't understand what he was saying. First he said he didnt know and that they're open until 9 and that I should come in. Why would I drive up there for no reason when you can just tell me over the phone if the order is done. Very rude and again, zero respect for people and their time. I asked if somebody can check? He said he's busy and that he "thinks" the order was done earlier today even though I never got an email. One second he said he didnt know, then the order may have been done, then hes too busy, then he says he's in the middle of working on it, then he says he's trying to fix the printer. Kept flip flopping, no idea what he was saying. Was he high or something? He said to give him a few minutes to look into and hangs up. I call back 20 minutes later because it was obvious nobody was calling me back. Again, he was very rude and again, kept flip flopping. One second he's not sure if the order was done, maybe he can finish it tonight, he's in the middle of fixing the printer. Ridiculous. All I wanted to know was if the order was done, how hard is that? Be upfront with the customer, direct and tell them what's going on. I finally said listen, should I just come tomorrow then because it obviously sounds like I'm not getting this order tonight. Jesus people need to work on their communication and customer service skills. It's ridiculous I have to write this long pointless review. Needless to say i don't want my order anymore and I'll be going somewhere else from now on.
As a Staples customer for many years
As a Staples customer for many years, I was disappointed at how the store was so disorganized. We had to ask for what we were looking for as it was not on the shelf. Several staff were standing around and could not have been busy helping to restock shelves. As I was paying, I was notified that I had to put in a PIN to process my payment.
TOTAL RIP-OFF
Went in Staples in Jersey City, NJ to “SCAN” a 90-page document. No printing - just scanning. They charged 50-cents per page to scan a document!!!!! AND worst of all - it’s only self-service. UNBELIEVABLE!!! I’ve been a long time customer of Staples shopping there at least a few times a month. I will now BOYCOTT them forever!!!
