Alex and his crew were amazing. They were in constant communication with us before they came. When they came to the house to pick up our items, they were very polite and were quick. They made sure we were happy with their work and kept the house spotless after they completed the pickup. I would recommend them to everyone who needs a dependable moving company

Star Van Lines has excellent customer service and successfully executed my move from FL to NJ. We had a lot of delicate items that we were concerned about, but thanks to the great capability of the moving professionals, the stress of moving was far less overwhelming. I used Star Van Lines for the first time, and it was a great choice. I was moving from Florida to California in December, right before New Year’s. Despite the company being busy with orders, they immediately accepted mine. We agreed on the price, the time for the truck and movers to arrive. There were no delays—they arrived on time. The movers were very polite and professional.

The delivery took 10 days. Throughout this time, we stayed in touch with Customer Service. During the entire process, the staff answered all our questions, provided updates, and gave me all the necessary information whenever I needed it.

The driver contacted me a day in advance to inform me of the arrival time. During the unloading, the movers were careful. There was no damage to the items. I highly recommend using Star Van Lines to everyone.

It was a pleasure working with this group of professional movers. I had a lot of unexpected road blocks and Denis helped me navigate through smoothly. For example, timeframe was limited and they packed all fast enough and thoroughly, found very fast additional help that arrived with in minutes, also, i couldn’t move in my new place on time, so, Denis was able to figure out a solution with in my budget . I trusted with my staff over night in their truck and it was happily delivered the next day and unpacked without any problems. I found all my staff. They even delivered my piano, so we are happy. I would highly recommend to use this company , because you can negotiate on every level on your moving journey, be relaxed about safety and quality of delivery your belongings and prices are best compare to others. Going to use them again in the future.

I recently used Star Van Lines Moving for a cross-country move from California to Florida, and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. From start to finish, their team was professional, courteous, and efficient. The movers arrived on time, carefully packed all of my belongings, and handled everything with great care. The communication was excellent throughout, with clear updates about the timeline and any potential delays. My items arrived in Florida on schedule, in perfect condition. My experience with Star Van Lines was pleasant, and i want to say thanks! Ive moved from South Florida to South Carolina this October. Three guys arrived in a morning and did a great job packing all of my belongings.I would have spent probably 3 month packing it all up and they did it in one day. I didnt have a date for delivery at that time yet, because I was going through final closing so they've offered me a free use of their storage for free. I believe it was included in their Standart Package deal. Later the delivery window was set and truck with my goods arrived on time. Everything was put back together and exactly where I wanted it. Overall my experience with this company is 5 out of 5 and i can surely say in this case you will get what you have paid for. Thanks to Mark, Alex and Michael for their great job!

I had a fantastic experience with Star Van Lines! They arrived right on schedule, wrapped my fragile items, loaded and unloaded everything with the care. I was truly impressed with their professionalism and efficiency, and highly recommend them!

Horror Story Service Alert!

Our experience with Star Van Lines was a nightmare from beginning to end. We were initially quoted $3,845, and after providing all the necessary details—including square footage, a list of items, and the fact that we lived on the second floor—we were assured this price covered everything.

However, when they arrived, the price suddenly shot up by $1,809, bringing our total to $5,654. They claimed they hadn’t been informed about the stairs and immediately added a stair fee, despite our clear communication.
It only got worse. When it came time for delivery, they arrived in a semi-truck, even though our townhome complex is too narrow to accommodate it. This forced us into an unexpected $1,400 U-Haul rental and service fee to shuttle our items from the semi into a smaller truck and then into our home. Although they eventually attempted to “make peace” by reducing $500 from the U-Haul fee, the terrible seed had already been sown, and the overall experience was irreparably damaged.

Poor Communication and Lack of Accountability

Throughout this ordeal, communication and accountability from their team were non-existent. My husband and I were given false assurances about delivery timelines, leading us to make plans around these dates. When those dates were missed, we received no proactive updates or meaningful explanations. We understood that the “guaranteed delivery date” was not ordered, but that doesn’t excuse the lack of clear communication or the uncertainty their team created.

As business owners ourselves, we know the importance of transparency, and this experience made it clear that Star Van Lines was more interested in closing the sale than delivering quality service. Despite everything, they even had the audacity to ask us not to write a negative review.

This experience brought me to tears, as the final costs far exceeded any reasonable value. If you value honesty, accountability, and peace of mind, avoid Star Van Lines. We expected more in terms of customer care, and I hope they take steps to improve, but I would not recommend them to anyone.

Everything from the attention to my order with my consultant, to the movers that picked up my items from my home in Illinois. They were very careful with blanket and pad wrapping all of my furniture, taking apart the beds, and making sure it was loaded properly. When they arrived at my home in Florida they reassembled everything and positiioned it all according to my instructions. I will refer them to family and friends and use them again when needed. I am very happy with how this move went.

I had multiple damaged items. The company is not working with me on claims. I've been told they just need to pay the claims vendor and then I can refile my claim. I have many damaged items. 2 wet mattresses, 5 crushed lamp shades, a broken lamp, a console table where to top was severely damaged, tv console damaged beyond repair with a matching end table where the water caused veneer separation, 2 nightstands with 2 broken off feet each. I had 22 line items on my claim. I paid for 2 tv moving boxes. I was told they would have styrofoam in them, instead I received 2 flat pieces of cardboard and they used my blankets to wrap the tv's. They refuse to refund that $150. I had less items loaded into the truck than were on my estimate yet they required me to pay an additional $1415 after the whole truck was loaded.
Their overall business process lacks integrity.

I have used Star Lines twice now.
The first time (Los Angeles to Idaho) was a little confusing because it was the first time hiring a mover and I had gone through a broker - so there was not only a learning curve to how things worked but there were too many people in process. The guys on the ground however were punctual and professional and communicative.

The second time I went directly through Star Lines (Los Angeles to Carson City, NV) was seamless. The guys showed up on time, were friendly, excellent packers, communicative and helpful. My things arrived quickly and without any damage. I’d go through them again in a heartbeat.

The pick up went fine. The guys came at a reasonable time and moved things out quickly. I had to pay more than I was quoted but I anticipated that. Now that it’s time for the drop off, I can’t seem to get my things. I called and gave them the delivery address and delivery date and the woman on the phone told me I would get a message from the driver a day before. That day arrives and nothing. I call to check in only to be told that the address is in the system but no one informed them that I was ready for delivery. How if the address is in the system? Now I don’t know when I can expect my things because they are still “working out a schedule” I have to get back to work so if they don’t come by a certain time, no one will be in the house to greet them and I’m stuck staying with family because I don’t have my bed and things. Totally ridiculous, unorganized and unprofessional.

Best move ever. Would use again.

At first this seemed wonderful I got a great quote they were able to do the move on the day I needed with the alternate date the next day (this was for possible delays due to weather). I paid the deposit, and it went downhill from there. The date changed for no reason (weather was great) then the time changed 3 times. Once the movers got there and had everything on the truck and their first installment of cash, they informed us they would need another 375.00 on top of the price at the end in cash (even though I was told by the person doing the initial contract I would be able to pay with my card). Then we had to pay another 100 because there were more than 7 steps (standard steps in a home are 13) anything over 7 is an additional 75$, then instead of setting up the bed which was the only thing they had to take apart, they unpacked the contents making sure the bed was buried in the back of the room. Pay close attention to the terms and conditions!! I was expecting the price to go up a bit but by being told I didn't need cash I didn't have cash and banks give you a limit on what you can take out in a day. Then
the bed being buried so you could not get to it was just rude.
