I opened my company in Hong Kong through Statrys, and overall I had a very positive experience.
The process was fast — it took about a week to set up the company and another week to open the business bank account. Everything was managed online, which was extremely convenient since I live abroad. Their client portal is transparent and easy to use, and communication with the team (via video calls and email) was always professional and pleasant.
What I liked most is that Statrys feels like a modern fintech solution. Compared to other providers in Asia, they really stand out. Fees are clear, support is responsive, and the overall service feels reliable and efficient.
The only challenge I faced was with compliance (KYC/AML) procedures. At times, I had to provide a lot of information about my clients, even though most of them are based in the U.S. This was sometimes time-consuming and a bit stressful. I understand these checks are required by regulations, but it’s worth being aware of them in advance.
Overall, I would definitely recommend Statrys, especially for entrepreneurs working online and looking for a convenient, modern way to set up and manage a company in Hong Kong.

Startups, beware. Our early-stage team builds an AI-driven B2B platform that matches importers with vetted suppliers and automates invoices, compliance, and logistics end-to-end. After providing everything requested, we received boilerplate responses and a video interview led by a very junior interviewer whose grasp of startups and our model felt closer to a high-school level. The evaluation came across as superficial and ultimately wasted our time.
Silver lining for the AI business community: the inefficiency we experienced signals a clear opening for the next generation of fintech startups—teams that can set higher standards in onboarding, risk assessment, and client communication.

We used them to register our company in HK and set-up a business bank account. At first, the experience was great and we were happy with the quick service replies and easy to use dashboard.
However, 7 months in we received an email terminating our business account and we were locked out of all files immediately. There was no reason given for the termination and they refused to answer any questions or provide clarity on what we needed to do.
They said any transactions from our bank account or sent to us would be heavily fined starting immediately. We had to scramble to inform clients and change subscriptions to personal cards. We called support several times and they promised to get back to us but never did.
We had to find another company to renew our company with and go through opening a bank account again. We finally were able to learn that our account was terminated because I'm American and they terminated all American accounts.
That's fine, but the way it happened was unacceptable. Not only was there no communication, but we were threatened with fines and locked out of everything.
Later on, they tried to sell us renewing our company with them which we wanted to do originally but were never told if we could. This was after spending a lot of time finding another company who could do our renewal and after requesting files from Statrys with no reply.
We also asked to get our bank statements from the account they closed and locked us out of. We were told we had to pay a 250 HKD fee in order to access it since the account was closed. Obviously, they closed the account and gave us no notice so it was an easy way for them to collect another 250 HKD.
I suggest looking elsewhere for your HK business needs.

Their guys work in Thailand, and only a few employees are in Hong Kong. They froze my accounts without any notifications. After over 2 months of communications under my request to close my account, they finally released my funds.
