They lie about what they are charging

I have had these services for a few months now. They promised me wholesale rates typically coming in under 2%. That said, every month they are taking 3.5%. The list of fees runs into several pages, literally. They even have charges called, "Misc. Fees". I would not recommend this company to anyone. They will first force you purchase their equipment at 3x the market price. Then they will milk you again every month. As they say, "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is".

My problem more than them charging 3.5% is that they are blatantly lying about what they charge.

Caleb was just lovely

Caleb was just lovely, managing to find a balance between professional and personable that I find some people who are more "techy" than I am struggle with when helping me. He made the process as quick and painless as he could, even going above and beyond to help me with my initial issue of being unable to login. In this customers opinion, Caleb should definitely be counted among Stax Payments assets. Thanks again, Caleb!

Jessica - Customer Support Agent
She has been very helpful and is a very smart lady. Very intelligent and good in mathematic, I figured it out the way she responded to me. It was amazing.
Talking to her is like talking to someone who understands your situation very well. There is one myth for customer service people to act like you are in their shoes, but no one does. She literally acted as if she knew what I was going through. I was very impressed and she went out of the way to help me resolve the issue I was having and not only that she followed up as well. I wish I had many team members like her in my company.
I have been in business since 1993 (33 years), and during that period, I have had many Merchant card service accounts for various businesses and have dealt with many customer representatives. She is the best, and when I say it, the best I literally mean she is BEST.
I normally don’t do any surveys or feedback at all, as they don’t do much but many times waste time, as no one takes any action or maybe I never know. Today, I decided to do it as I know it is literally hard to find employees as caring and as intelligent as Jessica is.
I am assuming you rate people by stars also assume there are 5 stars max, but I like to give her 10 Stars. Good luck, Jessica for the upcoming fun future waiting for you. May God give you a reward for being such a kind and caring person. Your parents and your employer gave you good training.

I hope all of your employees are on the…

I hope all of your employees are on the same level as Jessica. In a world where customer service seems to be forgotten, she was a breath of fresh air. Not only did she help with a very stressful situation, she did it in less than five minutes. Thank you so much!

Caleb was excellent in helping me fix…

Caleb was excellent in helping me fix our account. We had a change to our accounting team that left us without access to our account, and he was very helpful in getting me in and walking me patiently through practically the whole site. I have not had this good of a customer services experience in a very long time!

Great Support

We got quick answers and the support was great. Caleb looked into what was wrong right away and gave us detailed information on what was wrong which was very helpfull.

I would say STAX is average - but Jessica in Cust Serv is outstanding!

I would say STAX is average, with no contact and many price increases over the past several years. However, Jessica in Customer Service is outstanding. She was prompt, courteous, professional, and most importantly helpful in resolving our issue.

Do Not Trust Stax and Fiserv

My company had a VERY disappointing experience with Stax and Fiserv which has cost our company thousands of dollars.

We had a spammer attack our business 1/2/26 and attempt to register for our program over 20,000 times. This resulted in our account being frozen with Stax, Authorize, and Fiserv so we could not provide any refunds, or process any transactions. We contacted Stax and tried to start the process of resolving this issue. It took stax days to respond and they did not offer any help. Our ticket was then escalated to Katherine. We set up a phone call with her on 1/13 for the next day (1/14). We did not receive a call and we followed up, she stated her meeting ran late and she would call shortly. I made another appointment for 2:15 and we did not receive a call. We requested to be connected with a supervisor which Katherine refused. Katherine told us to contact Fiserv as the block was coming from them, but Fiserv would not speak with us and would only speak with stax. We were unable to resolve the issue on our own. We then waited another week to get an answer from Stax/Fiserv. My management left a review on here and we were only contacted AFTER they read our review to try and convince us to remove the review. They FINALLY found the issue after this and after ONE MONTH of not being able to refund customers, we were able to access that feature again. We had to switch from Authorize to Stripe to be able to continue our business. During that month, we were notified of a chargeback due to not being able to refund anyone. We were charged $15 on stripe for the chargeback PLUS an international card fee. When I tried to speak to Authorize, Stax and Fiserv, they said there was nothing they could do and we would just have to accept the chargeback and pay the fees, even though it was not our fault that we could not provide the refund. In early February, $18,000 was taken from our bank account due to the processing fees associated with the fraud attempt. Fiserv and Stax will not respond to our emails to discuss these fees. These fees were due to Fraud and they will not provide a refund or discount even though it took them over ONE MONTH to resolve this issue.

Do not trust this company with your business. They do not care about your business and will take months to find the issue they created.
