I have to give this school a 3 star.
The teachers are good, but they are all teaching separate content. If you stay for more than 3 weeks you might have 3-4 teachers in that time and they will all use their own way in sending you learning material and use different learning content.
The school does not have many school rooms, so if you are few in your class then you might have to be located on the hallway and need to keep quiet for the other classes, yes very strange.

At the start it was great, but after a supple weeks of class, our teacher had to leave and a sub came in. I feel that we did not leaned much with him. And I was not enjoying going to class, because he usually had a rude way to communicate. I am here learning a new lenguage because I want to, because I thought it would be fun but with that teacher it didn't feel that way

Very good approach from teachers, especially Dennis & Geraldine. I would appreciate more involvement of the school regarding organisation. Generally, a good experience.

Excellent experience! Les Ateliers FL kept me well posted before arriving to Nice. The teacher was very nice and she had an inspiring ways to teach. Besides the lessons we also had cultural program. I only regret that I had only a week to stay. I will definately do this again and I truly recommend Les Ateliers FL!

I had a wonderful two weeks superintensive French course in Nice. The teaching was very good and efficient and we also went outside the school to study in practise. It was nice to have excursions to Villefranche du Mer and Sainte Paul de Vence, too. The personnel of the school was kind and I had the feeling they really took care of us many ways. Except of the language I learned a lot about France and the French culture and Nice. I’ll go to another course this year or next year, if possible.

Our teacher Mary is very fun, respectful and engaging!
I had a very good time during my course and learned a lot during my 3 weeks, all thanks to her playful/proffessional attitude.
The first week the classroom was very cold and all though it was cold outside (for Paris, 0°C) there is no reason to keep the heat as low as it was.
Some class members actually thought about quitting because of the climate.
The heat improved in the later weeks.

The classes were really engaging and the teacher was so fun! I felt very comfortable in speaking French in class (and normally I’d be a bit afraid so) and because of that I improved my French a lot! There is a good vibe in class and it was really interesting.

Do not trust this school! I signed up as a student in 2023. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to attend. I was lucky enough to cancel in time for a refund. The school promised me a refund since Summer of 2023. I have been communicating with them back and forth for MONTHS! it is now January 2024 and I haven't received my refund. Just a bunch of vague promises of when they will make the transfer. My next step is to hire a legal team to deal with this situation. Please don't make the same mistake I did!

I DONT RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL!!!, because from the beginning they didn’t know in which group to put me in. BUT! I passed tests. Firstly they put me in B1 (where I told them was really hard for me and they were surprised), then in A2 (in which was all good), then they texted me mail that « they’re happy to see me in a A1 group ». I really DONT recommend to study french there, or you will lose an interest in french language. I love this language but which experience they gave me… And it costs not cheap to not be offended.
upd: now you’re telling me i didn’t go for some reasons? 🤣 you all were a whole reason i didn’t and i’m happy. i tried « alliance française », now it’s the best school for me. I didn’t even pass test, i tried me in A2, and i already finished my semester, now i feel comfortable to speak and will go in B1.
You better learn from your mistakes cause i’m not the only one you did the same! Why we need to pass tests if you don’t know in which group people needs to go? No one knows anything, idk how you’re working, but i’m so happy im not working with you. I even don’t care of money of prescription i paid, thanks God i left.

I thought it was really disturbing that people came far too late every single day and also after break. They were allowed to come and go as they pleased them. For the others, being on time it was more than disturbing. I also thought that the topics were really boring. The whole class wasnt really motivated so another choice of topic might have changed that. The highlights of the day were the workshops courses. I had a really good teacher (young, short dark hair, female). Those classes were really helpful and well structred.

It's my second experience in the school. First one in 2016 when everything was fine. This one, in 2023, it's like i'm living a horror show. The Bordeaux school is great (specially Corrine, Heloîse and Nikki, who are really helpful and kind), but the school in general (Les Ateliers FL) is horrible. They made me pay for an hebergement in advance and since I shortened my stay (the decision was taken on July 31, 2023) they haven't given my money back, despite all the calls, all the e-mails, all the discussions. I'm expecting over a thousand euros reimbursement and nothing, no answer. Seems like they just don't want to give it back although they say they will by the phone, no one is willing to put it in writing. The language experience is fair, the office experience is horrible.

I had an awesome time learning french at Les Ateliers in Paris. I had a great teacher and met some very kind people there. The students are quite young. The courses were organised well and the school was easy to find.

We had as well in the morning as in the afternoon very good teachers. And I don't want to blame the teachers for the bad score.
In the morning we were 10 and 12 (first week / second week) students in the levels lower A1 to higher A2 in class. In the afternoon we were 12 and 14 students in the levels A2 (lower ?) to B2 in class. The difference in language levels within the classes was very high. From my point of view, taking care for the individual language level was hardly possible.
For me, the two weeks were only a refreshing of things already learned before.
The difference in knowledge of french within the class was too high. Opening an additional class would have solved the problem.
I lived with a host family; and this family was excellent. Every evening we talked about current days experiences and up-to-date topics.
In short: Good teachers, good host family, bad administration of the school.

The school was great. The teachers were very friendly and helpful and the classes were very interactive.
My downside was that I booked an apartment through the school which ended up being quite far away from the school. I also didn't receive much information about arriving at the apartment, nor did it seem to be set up for a four week stay (i.e. missing cleaning supplies etc). I also never received any response to my emails enquiring about travelling from the apartment to the city/school once I found out the locoation. It worked out ok in the end but I would book an AirBnB next time.

I had a great experience and the excursions and classes were great. However, in the first week I thought Sarah was very good however there was over explanation on some of the grammar. The over explanation was very confusing on things I already understood. I think Sarah is great for more advanced students but not for beginners.
Natalie and Elizabeth were outstanding!
