Amazing from beginning to end

Amazing from beginning to end. Amy was fantastic, always available to answer my questions, even texting when busy. The three-man installation team was professional, knowledgeable, and polite. I only wish I had done it sooner! Five stars from me!

We had a problem with our boiler…

We had a problem with our boiler recently, and I have to say, they responded quickly and sent an engineer to fix it. The engineer, Dewey, diagnosed the problem and took the time to explain it to me. He was friendly and professional, and we're so grateful to have hot water again! I can't recommend this company enough.

We received excellent customer service…

We received excellent customer service from start to finish, from discussing the design and making adjustments to installation. The scaffold team and panel installers were great, and the electrician was equally impressive, very neat and tidy. Overall, it was an excellent experience.

Absolutely outstanding service and…

Absolutely outstanding service and we're very happy with the results - already reaping the benefits. Dylan and his team went above and beyond to ensure everything went smoothly, and they were always ready to help with anything we needed. And to top it off, the price was fair! We can't praise them highly enough and we're already recommending them to everyone we know.

Stellar energy appoints Heatforce as…

Stellar energy appoints Heatforce as their heating installers. Unfortunately, the advert on their van about being professional, did not reflect in the job carried out at my property. My heating did not work properly, almost from the next day the job finished. It took 4 months and one week to determine the ongoing fault. Few weeks later, it went wrong again. I asked for compensation. They offered me one year free servicing. I said it was not enough. So Heatforce sent me an itemised cost of the work they did to find the fault, and tells me. This is what we have done for you. It is easy for someone to put a good remark, but if like me. It is negative, then one must have facts to speak out. Stella energy has compensated me for bad workmanship, and I accepted. However, I have on many occasions spoke to Stellar energy about my problems with Heatforce, but they only spoke with them to say. It was unacceptable. However, Stellar energy, work with Heatforce. So, if your looking for an ECO company, and going by my experience. One can do better.

Mr Dervish, we are very surprised to see this reviews after all the time and effort, phone calls, some money to you for good will. Here is the “dated and timelined” responses along with the letter given to you.
Please see below report we have received in relation to your complaint.
Looking at the below report, the trend appears to be a user error. Mr Dervish was not using the controls correctly. I can appreciate the debris in the system, and we returned with Ideal to rectify the issues.We have already moved/changed radiators as a goodwill gesture – I believe this along with a free annual service would be a fair offer.

Install date 5/1/2024
Had first complaint on the Saturday 6th Jan stating he wasn’t happy with the sizes and positioning of some of the radiators .
Spoke with josh and Jake regarding this and they stated that all rads were all in place and piped up when he then complained about the positioning , at the end of every workday the boys asked Mr Deverish if he was happy and did not raise any issues .
Mr Deverish then raised issues with damaged floorboards and unsightly pipework in bathroom .
Again, we went back to josh and Jake who stated that the original floorboards were badly rotten, and Mr Deverish said he would replace and not worth screwing back down .
I attended the property on the 8th of Jan to go over the issues highlighted by Mr Deverish
All the above issues were raised by Mr Deverish and as he said he had been through a lot of stress during the whole process of the IWI and heating installation we agreed as a gesture of good will to re sight the radiator in the dining room from existing position to under window and to swap the radiator in the bathroom for the one in the bedroom to allow better access around his bathroom basin and to also re pipe the “unsightly” pipework in bathroom .
17/1/24 Rob and Andrew were sent to carry out the remedial work which included repositioning the radiators as per above , the altering of the unsightly pipework and lagging of the condensate pipe on ashp.
1/2/24 – fault with wireless thermostats connecting which electricians attended to rectify and also joe Thompson attended to check flow error issues. Joey reported that filter was blocked so cleaned filter and tested and everything was working ok
8/2/24- Joey re attended to fit new dial on the cylinder and to fit x2 new trunkings on radiator drops .
19/3/24- Job raised for Joe to show Mr Deverish how to use system as he was not using controls correctly and turning power off to the unit which was causing issues with the connectivity of the room thermostat
27/3/24- Flow error on system
8/4/2024- Joe romanick attended again and advised that he reset system and worked fine first time , he also reported that he believed that Mr Deverish was tampering with the system and still turning off at the mains
17/4/24- appointment made to check another fault with system whilst I was on route to property Mr Deverish called to cancel appointment stating system was all working fine .
22/4/204 – I attended site to check another fault on flow error and to arrange video call with ideal .
Outcome from visit was that ideal stated that flow error may be down to pipework installation and the number of bends and height changes is causing air locks and will need addressing .
30/4/2024- Jake attended to alter and increase pipework from unit to the cylinder ,after works completed we were still having flow issues which at first ideal were refusing to attend but then agreed to call and check flow sensor and unit for possible unit /cylinder fault.
1/5/24- ideal attended site with Henry Boddy , ideal were happy with the pipework size but did raise concerns with debris found inside pump /unit /flow sensor and recommended that we arrange for unit to be powerflushed to ensure any debris in the plate heat exchanger can be removed .
13/5/24- Huw Griffiths attended again to check that all was OK.

ABSOLUTE SHAMBLES

ABSOLUTE SHAMBLES - SCAM- AVOID. The experience I have had with this company is beyond words, they are a complete shambles , a disgrace and have scammed me into thinking I had been approved for Ecxo flex funding for the past 9 months, it is literally disgusting they way that they have mistreated me. they have strung me along with complete deceit and lies since October 2023. November - Booked Survey , nobody showed up , no email call nothing. January – rescheduled survey, received a call from Ashley after advising new boiler and loft & wall insulation will be installed in 2 weeks. Weeks go by not heard anything chased up, alarmingly I was advised im not entitled to anything and survey was wrong. Then I was promised a free boiler due to the errors provided but advised to remove the bad review, which i did. Few weeks later I chased Ashley but again ignored, I spoke to Simon the director he told me yet again I had been misinformed and I’m not having a free boiler and I had to wait for funding. April 30th - Simon text me " Great News and that they have received funding, May chased again to be told still waiting, I therefore spoke to RCT council and was advised there is no such application and they are not improved installers of this scheme. I confronted simon and he said he would use a 3rd party for funding instead. Absolute joke. June boiler has broken down i have no hot water , they offered to repair until funding received, 4 appointments later still not working, faulty parts, wrong parts, etc and awaiting new parts. 28th June spoke to RCT council again, and yet AGAIN shockingly advised no application has been received by Stellar or a third party absolutely disgusting behaviour. Many messages have been sent to Simon, I've explained I have 2 young girls here with no hot water, all ignored now blocked. RCT advised to go to Ofgem, Ombudsmen, I will also seek legal advice for distress and inconvenience to myself and my children. Thank god it Is not winter we would all have pneumonia. I advise anyone thinking of using this company to use other alternatives, I have been truly let down and feel like I have been totally scammed. The whole experience has been extremely stressful for myself and my children, This is just pure greed, rather than lose a sale they would chance being approved with RCT council, or use someone else rather than me find locally which no doubt would have been completed by now. I since have had to move out of the property until something is sorted , I am outraged to say the least. BEWARE DESPICABLE COMPANY !!!

Mr McManus is correct about Stellar not giving him a new boiler, but we did fix his boiler that was broken down. We did this in complete good faith. We used no grant money to claim any funding but did the work for free as a good gesture. Stellar are not a known installer in the Rhondda local authority but are with many others, so we have applied to be on their list. To onboard with some councils takes longer than others. We told Mr McManus this and it just wasn’t good enough. So, in the meantime we paid for parts and labour to fix his boiler. Mr McManus has been very very rude to all our staff and his language is just awful. A member of staff was turned to tears last week with swearing and abuse on the phone. Due to this behaviour, we will not be dealing with Mr McManus any longer. We have kept him in the loop all the way through the process but nothing is ever any good for him. There are always 2 sides to every story and as you can see by the other reviews on this platform, we have very happy customers 9/10.
Update:
intimidating staff members and messages with swear words on. It’s a form of harassment. Please do not abuse Stellar staff any longer or we will be making a police complaint for harassment

Internal insulation installed

We have had internal insulation installed and our experience has been excellent. The installation team from Griff’s Plastering did a fantastic and professional job very quickly. They explained the installation process and were friendly and helpful and thoroughly cleaned up afterwards.

Waste of time

My Dad was surveyed on 3rd April but then heard nothing. He phoned on the 16th and was told that essentially there not enough in it for them to do the work so told to approach my Local Authority. Never had the courtesy to let me know this though. A total waste of time & space in my opinion.

I would definitely recommend this company.

My grant work has been completed and my previously cold old home is now comfortably warm and cosy. I was unsure about how much I would benefit from an air source heat pump as I had heard that they were less effective in an old property. Don't believe it! The insulation work done by Stellar before the new heating was installed has made a big difference, and the solar panels on my roof generate power even on dull days, which offsets the bills too. All told, I'm much warmer and my bills have gone down. Total win-win!
All the various people who came from Stellar Energy and their contractors were super helpful and friendly.
I couldn't be happier.

No reply 6 months after survey

We had our survey carried out in August 2023. I was told someone called Ryan would follow up with us about next steps.
After calling multiple times in September I received a call in October explaining we would need to contribute to the measures, which I was happy to do and asked to have this information over email. He said he would do so in 48 hours and I have not received this email.
Called again multiple times November-December, always told someone will call back but they did not. The woman who picks up the phone when you call is incredibly lovely, helpful and was always very apologetic.
I had a look at these reviews and saw the company replies with a custom service email address so I emailed them in November but again received no response.

Friendly, professional, hard working and quick

The company has done a very good job of upgrading my loft insulation and cavity wall insulation and retrofitting trickle vents and extraction fans. The teams are all efficient, friendly, hard-working and explain clearly what they are going to do and why. When there was an unexpected issue with excess insulation dust getting blown around my loft, Ken and Dan drove all the way from Wales (I’m near Oxford) at 6.30am on Saturday morning to sort it out. All done with a smile and a lovely Welsh accent. 😄
