We can easily purchase more licences as needed - basically immediate.
I can monitor student progress on a daily/weekly basis.
Students get rewarded with medals and this is a great incentive for them.
Students enjoy achieving the weekly goal of 20 activities.
I can assign tasks to support and reinforce what is taught in class.
Tasks align with the structured literacy programme.
Students can access their learning from home and it is easy to coach parents so they can support students at home with their learning.
It is great daily practice so students can achieve mastery.
Students enjoy the tasks - engaging and they can do them as often as they like so they achieve mastery/gold medals.

We have been using Steps for many years (15+?) and it just keeps getting more useful features.

We already had StepsWeb set up in our kura but the license had lapse. The set up was so quick and smooth.

David was very helpful when I couldn't work out how to renew my licences.

My daughter is always asking for more screen time allowance, so that she can do more stepsweb! I'm much happier with that, than silly YouTube.
We have printed off some of the activity sheets and make custom word lists.

Timely communication and renewal of our licences.

Our school has been using Stepsweb for a long time now and I love how they keep up with the times by constantly improving. It has become an easy programme to run and the support is fantastic. Also the books are great for the struggling students.

We love Steps as there is always amazing support and the emails and questions are answered so promptly.

Great program and worth our while; however, it is a frustrating process to get an invoice.

& it would be helpful if students could re-sit placement tests six monthly or have some sort of promotion system when they are succeeding on most activities, as they can often move a lot faster than the course allows them to.

Putting Stepsweb into three schools, it is a really effective resource, to supplement the structured literacy approach. With all the implementation of the new curriculum the challenge is with sustainability, and monitoring of the programme and the students who access it, as teachers try to embed new ways of teaching a structured literacy and maths approach across the schools. In addition, it is becoming increasingly difficult for parents to encourage their children to access it from home, as their expectations often reflect it is the school's job to educate my child and to provide all the extra support required.

It was so easy to deal with Steps. From the purchase to setting up the kids accounts. Also when I had a problem I was responded to very quickly and it was resolved in super fast time!

I've worked with students using the steps programme for about 12 years. I've always been impressed by the efficiency and friendliness of the fabulous people working to keep this resource useful and up to date. Any purchases I make are quick to arrive.
