Great mower

Great mower. Cuts really well and with the variable speed control ,the forward speed of the mower can be controlled to suit the mulching option

No spare battery after 5 years.

Bought an Mower with an 80 volt battery. After 4,5 years the battery died. Stiga does not sell these batteries anymore. A machine over €600,-- useless after lees the 5 years.
I won't buy Stiga anymore!!

Bought direct this time SP100e pruning kit -difficulty in registering products on line -needed to register via agent
Agent based in Vienna & needed to go into a queue
to get it done-not easy process
Reassured that the dealers will always sort but they should improve online support

Straight out of the crate, oil in, a good few spins of the motor then petrol in & first pull - wrooom! Sorted!

Good reviews drew me to this maker.

I made an on line purchase of a Stiga grass trimmer,
after reading the reviews of the company products.
I am yet to use it, however it looks very substantial and should do the job for me.

Good value for money

Good value for money with the special offer. Battery lasts similar to a 2 stroke chainsaw tank.
Used to cut through 6 to 8 inch logs.
No issues cutting through even at 10 deg c temperature.
Much easier and running costs much lower. Would not replace petrol chainsaw but compliments it.
To get 5yr warranty must be serviced! Not sure what they do for the battery & charger. Finally charger has a fan to cool the battery.

The salesman

The salesman, Ashley, is very helpful and is always quick to reply whenever I have an issue.
I absolutely love the fact that not only do I have a perfect lawn but its perfect every day.

Dreadful manual. Hardware seems okay.

In a competitive field, these must be the most unhelpful manuals I have ever encountered. Assembling and operating the equipment involved more experimentation than guidance. As to performance - we'll see how it copes after a season's mowing.

New chainsaw finally did start

I have over thirty years' experience using two-stroke garden machinery, but still cannot get this brand new Stiga chainsaw to start for the first time.

If it won't start, then what is the point in having it?

Extra note: Well, through sheer persistence, I finally got the machine started and have cut some wood, so have revised my review. Another plus point is that the at least the Stiga team did get in touch with me, so it proves that Reviews are worth posting.
