Honestly, an absolute quality bit of kit. I bought the Durrant GMT in steel back in the summer and, whilst it’s a big watch for big arms, which I don’t particularly have, it looks great and can take... See more

    This outfit is awesome!

This outfit is awesome! The product Stirling Timepieces puts out is top notch. I wished I would've not waited so long to get a timepiece from them. They are hard at work putting out awesome gear! I can't wait to see what they do next!
Stirling is the only thing I will be using from here on out! Thanks.

    Excellent from start to finish

I’ve recently been working with the team to design a bespoke watch for myself and my colleagues, and I honestly have nothing but positive things to say about the experience so far.
At the start, the process required a fair amount of back-and-forth, including multiple requests and several design updates. My main point of contact, Karina, was absolutely brilliant throughout. She was consistently quick to respond, incredibly informative, and made it feel like nothing was too much trouble.
Beyond the emails, I had the pleasure of speaking with Karina and a few other team members over the phone. They were all remarkably personable and professional, making the whole customer service experience feel seamless.
I also really appreciate the team’s background; as they are mostly ex-service personnel, they had a solid, intuitive understanding of exactly what I was looking to achieve with this project.
I can’t recommend the company highly enough. A huge thank you to the whole team, and I’d like to mention Karina specifically for her fantastic assistance. Keep up the great work, and all the best for the future!

Great communication and a superb product.
I was kept informed every step of the way, with updates on how the project was progressing and when delivery was likely to occur. They've also been in touch to make sure I'm happy with the product. Great service all round.

    I love my new Upham

I love my new Upham. My only issue is a small defect on the dial. It looks like a little piece of dust got in during the manufacturing. Otherwise, I love this watch and would recommend Stirling to anyone!

A special order watch - Awesome

A special order watch - the design altered for our specific requirements. Great communication from Stirling throughout the design, build, delivery and follow up phases. The watch looks and feels very very good. A brilliant company to deal with - and a donation to Combat Stress to top it off. Awesome.

    Pathfinder Compass poor securing capability

Watch was great, issues with the pathfinder compass with a poor securing back clasp and screws not suitable for strap/s lead to the loss of the back clasp, compass retained but customer follow up service was poor. I would still recommend the watch's not the compass in current form.

    Hi Ainsley,

Thank you for your feedback. We’re really pleased to hear you’re happy with the watch itself, and we’re sorry for the frustration caused with the Pathfinder compass experience.

Regarding the issue, we’d like to clarify that this is typically caused by using a strap that is not compatible with the compass fitting. The compass is designed to work with a specific strap size, and in this case it appears a bigger size strap was used.

Under normal use, there should be no need to remove or adjust the screws on the compass unit. A compatible strap ensures the compass sits securely and performs as designed.

As mentioned in our previous correspondence, we did offer an exchange so that you could receive the correct strap for both your watch and the compass. This would resolve the issue and ensure everything fits and functions properly.

We’re always happy to help get things working as they should, so if you’d still like to proceed with the exchange, please don’t hesitate to get back in touch with us.

    Kind regards,
    Stirling Timepieces Team

The watch has an incredible feel

The watch has an incredible feel, and is clearly of exceptional quality. From a budget luxury and functional watch, this is hard to beat. I would suggest a little better QC as my minute hand on the watch has a slight gouge mark to it that I assume is from it being squeezed too tightly when placing it, so it’s become my work watch, but it’s not anything that removes a star. Overall great watch and I’ll buy another of the same watch eventually to be my dress watch due to the minute hand thing

The watch designs are amazing but Bezels are terrible.

The watch designs are amazing, but they need to improve on their bezels.

I have 4 watches by them (2 Durrants, 1 Jarvis, 1 Campbell). The Durrant bezels rotate without much force/pressure and considering that its a company making military watches, I was surprised the bezels were not given much thought. There were instances when I was out in the field rummaging through my field pack, putting on gear with straps, or just crawling in the mud and grass, the bezel has been easily rotated from its default or set position. To me this is a huge issue for if I have my bezel set at a certain time, its going to be costly if it moves so easily and throws me off the timing.

One of the Durrants I received also came with the bezel misaligned in default position and not set in the appropriate position so I had to sent it back for it to be worked on.

The Jarvis came with the same easy rotation as the Durrant, and on top of that after some use the bezel seems to jam and not be able to move unless I move it abit back (the bezel has abit of play) and it moves again. After further use osmehow the bezel does not seem to grip and rotate as consistently anymore.

The campbell I had came with a completely misaligned inner bezel.

As claiming to be a military watch company which had the watches field tested, these bezel isues are baffling and I am surprised this has not been fixed or tended to after so long.

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback, and for your continued support. Owning multiple pieces from us means a great deal.

We're really pleased to hear that you like the designs, and we also fully appreciate the points you've raised about bezel feel, alignment, and consistency across different models. We understand how frustrating it can be when something doesn't perform as expected, especially when relying on it in demanding environments. Feedback from customers who actively use their watches in real-world conditions is incredibly valuable to us.

As discussed, we've stayed in contact with you throughout and have already resolved several of the issues raised under warranty. We understand that your latest watch is currently being returned to us, and we will be addressing that under warranty as well. Standing behind our watches and making things right when issues arise is something we take very seriously.

Bezel performance is an area we are always working to refine. Achieving the right level of resistance is not always straightforward, as preferences can vary depending on how and where a watch is used, so striking the right balance between secure rotation and usability in real-world conditions remains an ongoing engineering focus for us. Feedback like this directly contributes to those improvements over time.

Thank you again for your honest feedback and for your continued trust, we truly appreciate it.

    Love the watch

Love the watch. Beautiful. Came in a cool pelican case with a dust cover. Additional nato strap inside as well. Has great weight and wrist presence, looks like it costs way more than it did. As a veteran who struggled with PSTD I was happy to learn sterling is involved with that and in the future I will be buying more watches from sterling.

    Staff

Holly and Sam were great. They kept notifying me of the status of my timepiece as it was being repaired and returned to me. They answered all the question and answered all my emails in a very expeditious manner.
    Very professional.

    My honest opinion

Delivery time after order placed was excellent, packaging again excellent, good to see the support the company gives to our ex service men and women.
The watch though I felt that it is a bit to small in diameter and would benefit being a bit larger, the straps are a bit on the short side to. Comparing it to my other watches the original Seiko watches I have are probably on par but chunkier, the Christopher Ward are a step above and its not fair to compare with the Brietling or Omega. So a reasonable every day watch as long as you eye sight is 20/20.
