Absolute garbage

Absolute garbage. Waited one hour after the chat it for a live agent. Because I couldn't provide info as wild as the serial number of the first ever console I had, the response was genuinely "tough, bye". Not those exact words obviously.

So I then have to wait another hour for another agent. I think my account has been compromised but because all I can confirm is the exact date and amount of my PS Plus subscription and the serial number of my last console, they still won't take any action.

ABSOLUTE EVIL COMPANY!! YOU WONT BEILEVE THIS!!! THEY SCAMMED ME! THEN BANNED ME!!!

ABSOLUTE EVIL COMPANY!!! SCAMMED ME!

So i bought a game from their online store on PS. I cant see the game preview, just description. It says released in 2024 to 2026 (its a bundle of games).

I download it and open it and its OLD games from 90s and early 2000s!!!

SAME DAY.. WITHIN 24 HOURS.. FEW HOURS ACTUALLY.. I reached their support to ask them to cancel the game and refund. THEY SAID NO!!! I TOLD THEM THE ADVERTISING OF THE GAMES IS WRONG!!!

THEY WERE NOT WILLING TO EVEN LOOK AT THE ISSUE OR EVEN DISCUSS IT! UNTIL TODAY THAT DIDNT HAPPEN!!! (THIS GAME WAS BOUGHT MONTHS AGO WHEN THIS FIRST HAPPENED). I kept asking them to JUST LOOK AT THE ISSUE OR ESCALATE IT! BUT NOTHING!!!

They kept saying no refund to games that are downloaded!!!! WELL HOW ELSE WOULD I KNOW THE GAME IS NOT AS ADVERTISED UNTIL AFTER I DOWNLOAD AND LOAD IT!!!! HOW!!?!?!?!

Anyways.. THE MAIN ISSUE... IS THAT THEY WOULD NOT EVEN DISCUSS IT. AND YES I TRIED SEVERAL TIMES. THEY TURN A BLIND EYE TO THE ISSUE AND KEPT SAYING THE SAME THING (NO REFUNDS).

AND THE FACT I REACHED THEM.... RIGHT AFTER I OPENED IT PISSES ME OFF!

ANYWAYS.. I raised A DISPUTE through the BANK for a CHARGEBACK. The bank LOOKED AT THE ISSUE AND accepted and I was refunded the MONEY!

HERE IS What THE EVIL COMPANY DID... THEY SUSPENDED MY ACCOUNT after they got charged back! AND DEMANDED THAT I PAY THE "DEBT" AS THEY CALLED IT, TO GAIN ACCESS TO MY ACCOUNT. OR I WILL GET A PERMANENT BAN!

SO APPARENTLY YOU HAVE TO DO THIS OR YOU ARE BANNED FROM ALL THE GAMES YOU EVER BOUGHT!!! THEY OWN YOU!

AND THE WAY THEY DO IT IS SO EVIL.

I ASKED THEM THEN TO LOOK AT THE ISSUE!!! THAT PREVIOUS THEY REFUSE TO! THEY SAID NO! IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE PURCHASE WAS CORRECT AND THINGS LIKE THAT THEY KEEP SAYING.

BASICALLY.. THERE IS NO WAY THEY WILL EVER REFUND A GAME YOU BUY. REGARDLESS IF SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH IT, IF IT WORKS OR NOT. IF ADVERTISING IS ALL WRONG. DOESNT MATTER!

ITS A GAMBLE!!! ITS A COMPELTE GAMBLE WITH THESE GUYS!

ANYWAYS... THEY SAY PAY THE DEBT TO GAIN ACCESS! I SAID WHY!? I WON THE DISPUTE!!!! HOW CAN THEY "CREATE" A DEBT AND THEN ASK ME TO PAY!

THIS IS LIKE HAVING A CASE.. AND COURT RULES THAT YOU WON THE CASE.. AND THAT PS SHOULD REFUND YOU. AND THEY DID AND ISSUE COMPLETELY CLOSED..... AND THEN AFTER THE CASE IS DONE, THEY SAY PAY US OR ELSE!!!

SO ANYWAYS.. I CANT GAIN ACCESS UNLESS I PAY THE FAKE DEBT! SO I ACCEPTED UNFORTUANTELY... BUT NOT WITHOUT MAKING THIS REVIEW!

ANYWAYS... GUESS WHAT!?

I CANT JUST PAY IT THE NORMAL WAY (CREDIT CARD ETC...). I HAVE TO BUY A PS GIFT CARD (GREATER THAN DEBT AMOUNT!!!!) AND THEN TO LOAD IT TO A LINK THEY GIVE (TO FILL THE WALLET) THEN THEY WOULD SETTLE THE DEBT THEMSELVES IN A FEW DAYS AND GIVE ME ACCESS IF THEY DEEMED I AM WORTHY!

SO I DID! THE WHOLE PROCESS TOOK A WEEK!

THIS IS HOW EVIL SUCH CORPORATIONS ARE!!!

Bought an incompatible game, no refund

Bought a game, can't even download it, had to go through a maze of steps to be able to contact them, because website automatic refund system doesn't work, and then they deny the refund on the grounds that 14 days have passed. It's incredible that such a big company has such reviews as seen here. But no problem, lesson learned.

First time when you cancel you subscription immediately for wrong purchase you’ve received an email saying sorry to let you know usually you get refund within days or week , but they don’t let you know that you have to request a cancellation and request a refund separately.

No customer service

There is no customer service, no public email or phone number, just an AI bot that is extremely unhelpful.
The functionality of the store itself for sorting and filtering, to find products, or even to see the products you own, is a terrible user experience.

PS5 mechanical failure and Sony refuses responsibility

Don’t get me wrong. I love PlayStation. It’s always been my go-to gaming console. But not anymore. My PlayStation 5 went through a serious mechanical issue and is broken. The Liquid Metal stored inside for the cooling system had worn down and leaked all over inside my PlayStation destroying it and the disc I had inside it (GTA 5). I called Sony asking for help and they wanted to charge me $230 to repair something I did not break. Sony, this is a mechanical failure on your part. My PlayStation was always well kept and stored properly. I know I’m not the first person to go through this. I will raise hell until I get my PlayStation repaired for free because I am not paying $230 to repair a poorly built console.

Utter contempt for customers

they sell you the games, once they have the money, thats it. they dont care about the customers, they sell broken buggy games with no support or care. microsoft flight simulator is a broken buggy mess, do playstation care? not at all. they sold it, they should get microsoft to fix it.
Would you buy a car from a dealer, then have to contact the manufacturer to put an engine in it?

They will suspend my PS account if I seek to get a refund

It is unbelievable that how much work they do just to reject a totally reasonable refund request . They use AI to generate super hard verification code to block customer refund

Furthermore, their policy mentioned that if customers seek for a refund. They would suspend user’s accounts.

Don't use the Playstation Store

Don't use the Playstation Store. My son who is 5 purchased some tokens via Minecraft. I had to wait in a text que to ask for a refund. They denied it and said they couldn't do anything. It's irritating as for them it's just a click of a mouse and I know $14 isn't a lot, however; I made sure to remove my CC from the Playstation Store and in the long run I know I'll never waste any $ on Playstation again. Time to switch to X Box who has always been better with returns.

I asked playstation support to refund a broken game (Forza Horizon 5), they simply refused, and said because i downloaded the game, i can't request refund, guys game is broken, i can't play !!!
this game having issues with steering wheel , the buttons are not available and simply you can not pass some of the missions need access to those buttons. i talked with multiple person, at end they told me go talk with the game producer. but in their return policy it said we can return a game if it is broken. i can say there is no customer support at playstation network.

Their help only goes so far, and they don’t care

I’ve spent years building my PSN account, including early Fortnite progress, digital purchases, and subscriptions. Then, I lost access to the original email. That’s it — no console, no transaction IDs — and suddenly PlayStation’s system treats me like a thief. I’ve tried multiple times to get manual account recovery. Every single time, I hit the exact same wall: “We can’t help you without info you literally no longer have.”

There is no phone number, no escalation, no human support that can help. Even when I ask for a specialist review, I’m flat-out denied. Years of my time and money? Gone. My frustration? Ignored.

Sony, if you care about your players at all, someone needs to fix this system. Losing an account because your outdated security checks can’t accommodate legitimate users is unacceptable.

I want my account back. And I want you to know that this is exactly how you drive away loyal customers.

PlayStation store is a scam!


I made a purchase through PlayStation that turned out to be misleading, and when I contacted them to seek a refund, I received no meaningful response.

Customer service is essentially nonexistent — just automated systems, unanswered messages, and endless time spent trying to get help. As an Australian consumer, I’m genuinely surprised this is allowed, given our consumer protection laws.

Wasted time, wasted money, and zero accountability. I would strongly caution others before making purchases through PlayStation.

Unfair refund policy for recent digital purchase

I recently purchased Baldur’s Gate 3 digitally for PS5, downloaded it, and played it only for a few minutes before realizing it was not the type of experience I was looking for.

I requested a refund or at least store credit on the same day of purchase, explaining that it was an honest mistake and that my usage was minimal.

PlayStation refused to offer any refund or compensation, citing an internal policy that prohibits refunds once content has been downloaded.

I find this policy unfair and anti-consumer, as there is no trial period, demo, or clear warning that allows customers to evaluate a digital product before permanently losing their money.

The support experience was repetitive, rigid, and lacked empathy. As an adult consumer, I expected a more reasonable and flexible approach.

After this experience, I will think twice before purchasing expensive digital games on PlayStation without a demo or extended preview.

Shockingly awful experience with PlayStation, staff can’t seem to grasp the simplest of things to get sorted, for example, sent me a faulty item opened after Christmas and said it’s not under their warranty!!!! We have 2x PlayStation 5’s!!!!

Suggest anyone buying products from their direct store be very VERY VERY careful, suggest you find all the faceplate products on Ali express and save yourself money!!! 👍
