Great for kids' first phones!

I got this service, because it was the best option for my 11-year-old's first phone. I think you might have a lot of parents that do this, so maybe it's something you can expand on.

Overall, TPO is a good mobile service for students.

Overall, TPO is a good mobile service. It offers many comparative plans to fit my needs. Its customer service is good and friendly. However, I experienced super slow data access speed for the first 3 months using TPO. I contacted it customer service for the problem, and got response that I had spent all of my data allowance which contradicted with my phone data report. I snapshot my phone and sent to them, but they refused to believe me. My problem had remained unsolve for 3 months until now. I just experience good internet access speed from the beginning of Oct.

Great On Price but with a Few Caveats

Great On Price but with a Few Caveats
1) If you have a family or spouse or business with multiple numbers, you have to create individual accounts for every phone number. This is a PIB.
2) Web site is often slow or just annoying when one has multiple accounts.

Customer service has been responsive. Online help could be better for the technically inclined.

Simple and Reliable

Simple and Reliable
Coverage is easy to get, the SIM shipped free to my door. I activated it and entered in a few details, and my phone number from Sprint transferred instantly. The website is easy to use and after the changes, is easier to navigate. Autopay and the autopay bonus off the bill rock, and I love that my bill helps fund the rescue and care of abused animals!

I am pleased with TPO. Calling customer support was much more satisfying than using the website or email support.

I have had great phone service…

I have had great phone service with no hiccups. My wife's phone was deemed compatible by the website, but incompatible after we received the SIM and tried to activate it. If not for that issue, I would've given 5 star rating.

Overall, its the best deal in town!

I love the price and customer service from TPO. There are some challenges:
The coverage can be a little spotty.
The texts for the billing have the wrong dates--I'm never really sure when the funds are being taken from my account.
The program for purchasing a new phone is not very affordable.
I find that the website is not always operational.

Stay Away From TPO until 5G Wireless Arrives

I am in New York City. In Sept of 2017 I tried their "Kind" plan for 1 month which only cost $16 dollars (I was charged $19.77 with taxes and fees). That plan includes unlimited texts, 1000 minutes, and 500MB of 4G LTE high speed data. Of course I had no problem with texting. The first 2 phone calls had perfect quality but after that every phone call for the remainder of the month had good quality only for the first 10 seconds; after that trying to maintain a connection was useless. For the entire month I only got 2G data speeds which is practically no internet service at all. I never experienced 4G service. Their email tech support kept telling me to try different APN settings which I tried but nothing worked. Finally I gave up trying to use their horrible service and asked for a refund but they refused to give it to me. A friend of mine who works for the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) said Tmobile has taken on too many MVNOs (Mobile Virtual Network Operators), one of which is TPO, and as a result there is not enough bandwidth for all the customers to receive satisfactory service. Tmobile's primary customers (high priced plans) are getting high priority while their low priced plan customers are getting medium priority. Small time companies, like TPO, are at the bottom of the ladder getting the lowest priority (poor service). He said this will only improve when 5G internet service rolls out in about 2020. Before that everyone should stay away from most MVNOs like TPO. He also told me to file a formal complaint with the FCC to try to get my $19.77 back. I have done just that and I am waiting for the FCC to reply and act.

Never returning back.

I have had three lines serviced by TPO in my family. I changed the credit card on file for automatic payments (the one on file expired), but was charged more when I made the change. I called and asked for an explanation from the customer service. The answer was that the taxes went up. As I was challenging the rep on how the taxes when up in just one day, she already charged the new card. I said if I did not have a satisfactory answer on the unexplained charge, I would leave along with the two other lines. She would neither answer my question, nor show any flexibility in crediting my account for the excess amount. So I told her that I decided to leave. She then puts a "fraud alert" on my wife's line so when she called to get a PIN for porting her number, she was unable to do so. Not only do they have a poor security for account authentication (your name, physical address, and e-mail address are the credentials needed to authenticate over the phone, where at least 145,000 US residents have this information compromised), if there is a "fraud alert" on your account, you would have a very difficult time to authenticate yourself as the rightful owner of the account! So rather than using meaningful and unique authentication methods, their weak system becomes a tool for them to harass you on the way out - as they do not have a proper way to identify, they resort to tedious methods of on-the-spot gut-feeling. TPO would likely come on top of the poorest customer service experiences ever in my life. Never coming back.
