TPO service needs to improve

I am rating based on the signal strength I got on my cell phone. Instead of using 10% to donate to charity, TPO should invest money on the quality of service including services from your employees.
Your service is very lousy. I have a problem of accessing to my account, but had called up to eight people at TPO, and as of today, none of them could help me solve the problem.

This is a terrible service provider

This is a terrible service provider. It almost never worked, I dropped calls all the time if they even went through to begin with, my data was awful, and I rarely received my texts messages until days later. For the first several months, my service was shut off every month despite having automatic payments set up, and I had no way of contacting customer service except via email through my home computer, which sometimes took several hours, so I would be without my phone - not that it really mattered because it hardly ever worked to begin with. This was an incredibly dangerous phone service because I have a cell phone, not only as my only phone, but also so that when I am out I can have a line to call my husband or someone in case of emergency. With such terrible service, I was never able to rely on my phone, even when the company didn't shut off my service for no reason. It may be one of the cheapest, but it is absolutely the worst. Do not use them. I switched to Boost Mobile 4 months ago and finally know what it's like to have phone service I can actually rely on when in an emergency, or just when I want to use it for any reason.

The costs are low, but . . .

The costs are low, and it's easy to set up a plan. BUT, I had quite horrible to non-existent reception in many parts of CA, and anywhere outside major cities, like on highways, bus routes, or in relatively newly constructed neighborhoods. It's not worth the cheap cost, if I can't use be in contact with others.

Hi Kris,

Thank you for taking the time to write us a review.

We are sorry to hear that your cell coverage has not met your expectations.

Like all networks, we can never guarantee of full and complete signal all of the time. While our coverage checker will do it's best to check if you're covered, factors outside of our control such as; adverse building materials, weather conditions and temporary network outages can have an impact on your service.

A couple of things to try;

- Update your mobile phone software. Out of date phone software can cause issues with cell coverage.
- Check another device. If possible try using another device, this rules out if the issue is related to the handset.

If you wish to get some further support or information please do not hesitate to contact our care team by clicking the below link: https://help.thepeoplesoperator.com/hc/en-us/articles/207301495-Contact-us

Kind regards,

"I don't know what you mean by there is no minimum. If you would like to cancel, you're more than welcome to do so."
So, I am going to leave.

Phone and Custer service.

The phone service and the price is very good but the customer service is not so good.
I had to use a different CC and I updated the new CC on my account. I was still getting emails that I have not paid. So I called the customer service and she said my card is up to date with new CC. About two weeks later I got an email saying the payment was not made. In that time I could not make any calls. Next day I called in and cancel my account.

They charged my credit card twice

They charged my credit card twice for the same service. Instead of apologizing the customer rep said she couldn’t help me further. When asked to escalate to supervisor I was told one wasn’t available even though i said i am willing to hold. Here are the charges on my credit card statement …

1. Jun. 26, 2017 TPO 084xxxxx326 NY $ 8.31
2. Jun. 27, 2017 TPO 084xxxxx326 NY $ 7.34

Goes without saying I’ll be disputing the charge and cancelling my TPO service. Plus it’s the worst customer service I’ve come across!!!

I have service 90% of the time. Sometimes texts take extra time to show up. Definitely love the pricing but lack of service at places I frequent is making me rethink my decision use TPO. I would love to be able to give 5 stars; hopefully someday in the near future!

Happy customer!

TPO's mission is commendable, their service is easy to set up and maintain, and I almost always have dependable signal. Plus it's ten dollars cheaper than the plan I had on a big carrier.

I love TPO

I love TPO. I get the same coverage as I would with any of the major providers, but it costs me a fraction of what Verizon or AT&T would charge. On top of that, TPO donates a portion of my payment to charity! I'm helping the animal shelter in my town.

It's win-win-win all around with TPO!

What a great find!

TPO has been a gold nugget of a discovery. Tech savvy but very light touch. Reasonable price, support when you need it, lets you handle your account. Just what I didn't know I was looking for.

Unable to view billing statements online; have to submit request to customer service

I would like TPO to allow me to view my billing statements from my online account or to have them sent to me via e-mail automatically. Currently I have to contact customer service each time that I wish to view my billing statement. Also, my billing statements do not include a breakdown of taxes and surcharges. I requested customer service to provide a breakdown of taxes and surcharges but they told me that they are unable to do so.
