Studapart has been the only website who did accept me booking an apartment even in distance and being a young worker moving to Paris for the first time!
Very smooth and easy process, thanks to the owner and Studapart.

They charge for their service

They charge for their service, it was 500EUR for me... and then from Campus they start sending you invoices which sums 878EUR... monthy expense should be 650EUR, just for reference....

bad listing listed on the website and…

bad listing listed on the website and the website is not carrying any responsibilities. I am currently living in an apartment with mold, leak water and also bad smell and studapart is not paying any actions.

Nightmare experience and no support from Studapart

My daughter had a terrible and traumatic experience with Studapart, Lille. She is a first year University student and found a property that looked genuine. However, the unscrupulous landlord was trying to get her to share a one bedroom apartment that already had an elderly lady living there. The bedroom for my daughter was still being used by this woman and was full of her clothes, belongings, the freezer and washing machine. This woman was sleeping on a sofa in the shared living room/kitchen of this tiny apartment. In the early morning on the first day, she came into my daughter's room while she was sleeping to get clothes. A complete stranger! The door had no lock. My daughter left the property and was rescued by some friends. Despite numerous complaints and emails with Studapart over the past 5 weeks, they refuse to return our money. They should have taken the landlord off their books, but they let him re-advertise the same property again within days. We want a full refund of 778 euros. Do NOT use this company, they do not thoroughly check the properties on their site and they are allowing young vulnerable students to be exposed to these risks. If Studapart respond, don't just give me your usual response of contacting your customer services. They do absolutely nothing. I want a response from the Director of Studapart and recompense.

Amazing!

Studapart has been the only website who did accept me booking an apartment even in distance and being a young worker moving to Paris for the first time!

Apartment with bedbugs. No support!…

We used Studapart to rent an apartment in Aix en Provence. The appartment was not cleaned on arrival. We cleaned the appartment and sent a complaint to the landlord together with remarks on things that were not functioning. After a couple of days it was obvious that the apartment was full of bedbugs. We then contacted both the landlord and Studapart. Studapart only referred to the rule that you have to complain within 24h if a housing is inhabitable. The landlord has after this not answered our messages regarding this issue and Studapart has been to no help.
Do not use Studapart. Expensive and not helpful.

Do NOT use Studapart

I used Studapart as an international student who was looking for an apartment and used this platform for its ease and the fact that they have a partnership with my university.

 I thought this platform would keep me safe from scams but it turns out the company do not verify their landlords properly and furthermore do not verify their listings at all like they claim they do. 



The company asks you to pay rent (in addition to their fee) before you get to even see a lease, which is illegal under French law. I unfortunately paid before I was made aware of this. The landlord then went completely silent and despite multiple messages to him both via the platform and via email, I did not receive anything. No acknowledgement, no message, no lease. Total silence. 

It then turned out that the flat I booked also has too high of a monthly rent and that this is also illegal as it is excessively over the maximum rent ceiling for this address. I also found out this address surprisingly is not even a residential address but actually for a commercial office building - so the flat likely doesn’t even exist at all.



After getting in touch with Studapart I would not recommend using this service at all as they do not protect you and are extremely insistent that there are no scams associated with them or on their platform. Their response to my question about why they asked me for rent before signing a lease was also astonishing - they tried to tell me that it’s not illegal because I accepted their terms and conditions. On what planet does a company’s terms and conditions take precedence over the law, I do not know.

After reading some of these other reviews and seeing how others have been given leases with information that isn’t what they were sold, or that their landlords also stopped responding as soon as payment was made, I wouldn’t take the risk again and will be advising my university to end their partnership with these guys.

EDIT: I should add as well that the ‘1000€ of exclusive deals’ they advertise as being available to you once you book through them is also a lie. The exclusive deal in question is being able to use the online service Papernest - which is literally free of charge and available to everyone whether they book through Studapart or not.

These guys are too exploitative

These guys are too exploitative! First, they charge a lot for their services and if your visa is refused they pay you almost only 10% of all you paid for, which is crazy. Why is a visa refusal not enough reason to refund a person's money??? This is so sad, the international community should look into these kinds of companies.

You don't need them at all

They charged me a lot of money and they didn't provide any help at all. When I got to the residence I was supposed to have booked through their site the booking wasn't made, I had to pay for a different guarantor again and I also had to pay the deposit again. They won't provide enough information for you to know their help is useless and when its to late you will realise you could've just contact to the owner directly and saved a huge amount of money. Completely unnecessary and a huge waste of money, practically a scam.

Taking Huge money for service but not providing any of the services like the amount

Room Cancellation: My room booking through Studapart was canceled close to the entry date, leaving me without accommodation just when I needed it most.
Refusal of Alternatives: After the cancellation, I received refusals for all alternative accommodation options, adding to the stress and inconvenience.
High Fees: Despite paying a service fee, a guarantee fee, and additional charges such as forex fees, markup fees, and bank fees, the service provided has been extremely disappointing.

Considering the high fees charged, the lack of support and effective service is unacceptable. I would not recommend Studapart based on my experience.

-great choice of rooms/studios/live-ins for Students
-wide price-range
-reputable and reliable-no scams or fraud

CON
-took terribly long even though we had two solvent guarantors and ALL needed files
-when documents were refused we were missing an explanation to work with
-Support can be improved: More individual advice and Not only general answers like “no reply-mails”

Now I hope that everything(landlord, contract, studio, insurance) will work out fine as I have read different reports here🙏

HIGHLY recommend! Best student housing platform

I genuinely had the most pleasant experience with Studapart. I looked at A LOT of other websites and debated a lot of different options for student housing. None were this seamless and “easy” (once I finally found a flat & had the proposal sent to me). But everyone is helpful and as long as you’re diligent, you should have no real issues with the website or with finding something that suits your needs! Highly recommend.

Try everything else before you use Studapart

Studapart might be a source of apartments for foreign students, but the benefits end there. Studapart does not have rules for the people that list on their platform, so any information Studapart gives is totally unreliable and every individual landlord can impose any rediculous rule they want and they do. You would think that Studapart would at least have negotiated and standard English language rental agreement. They have not. We were presented with google translate gibberish and after 6 weeks had to revert to the French original to be abe to sign. I do not understand what Studapart does for its 450 EUR. They offer no support an cannot answer the simplest question. I fully understand that their customer support is manned by underpaid students - but then the cost should be lower. Normally real estate platforms are free and the businesses are paying fees to advertise + there are ads. That would seem fairer if you ask me. My son's school has an agreement with Studapart and that was why we were suckered ito using it. Stay away if you can.

Regretted the second I took an…

Regretted the second I took an apartment with studapart, after 2 months of staying in a waaay less than average apartment, I left the apartment and found something else, a year later today, they have the audacity to come and tell me that my insurance is coming to an end and If I don’t have proof that I left the apartment, they were going to take out 189€ for the insurance renewal, I sent them my new contract with my new landlord, I also sent them my préavis.
All of the documents were rejected for some reason with no explanation.
The landlord I got with studapart is an 80 something years old woman, that doesnt know how to use her email.
So I can’t contact her and studapart is not accepting to stop the insurance.
Do yourself a favor and find an apartment with le bon coin, it’s so much better, so many more choices. I found 2 apartments with le bon coin
