Zero stars...Fluff & adfest
Zero stars.
Site is so unbareable & unnavigatable now.
News article has but 2 paragraphs & scrolling down has infinate ads, clickbaits, outbrain fluff, celebrity junk & no end of news article.
Just a ad packed fest full of fluff & junk no-one wants with no news.
Deleted and RNZ my goto now.
Half stories
So, we're only getting the first two paragraphs of stories now Stuff? Used to be great, and I stuck with it through the recent debacle but it's gone now
Ridiculous website
Ridiculous website, advertising everywhere, pop up adverts make viewing the news impossible and even saying no to cookies is a task in itself. Once was a half decent service for local news now I don’t bother.
Appalling App
Appalling App: so unstable. You can be reading an article and it will randomly flick to the previous one, repeatedly. It’s so ridiculous.
Notice and Photo in the In Memorium column
I wanted to put a Notice and photo in your In Memorium column and wasn't sure where to start. I was assisted all the way by your wonderful staff member Louise Wilson. I had lots of questions and she answered them quickly, clearly and concisely. I was very impressed with the service she gave me. Thank you Louise - the Notice turned out beautifully.
Absolute waste of time
Absolute waste of time. Can’t view your local news. It’s not up to date. There has been a major accident in the Waikato involving over 20 people and no mention on the website. Also can’t comment on stories.
Horrible website full of add's
Horrible website full of add's. Don't know why i bother posting this review, will never go to stuff.co.nz again. Stay away it is utter crap
impossible to register
impossible to register. Very intrusive questions. Who needs Stuff anyway? I formerly did the quiz of the day. Sometimes lookied at the articles. Usually crop of clickbait and stuf you can get without the hassle elsewhere.
Very very poor…
Very very poor when you compare against other news apps. I’m not commenting on the faults as there are too many, BUT why is there no response from Stuffs developers? I cannot find any feedback anywhere from them.
Pretentious virtue signalling fake news…
Pretentious virtue signalling fake news made by self proclaimed "good people" - embarrassing.
Stuff
Stuff! Hello?? Is anyone reading these reviews?!!
Just admit you stuffed up and go back to the other app and all will be forgiven.
I tried again today to engage but it’s just too awful….
Stuff in now a non event
Have to agree with all the recent comments, I only check out Furry Fridays now and that hard to find. Paid a subscription to the Post, but it will not allow me to access the articles? Got email response from subscriptions email quoted saying ' we do not respond to individual enquiries' and referred me to a question and answer?. If no response on Monday to my phone call enquiry I will cancel subscription to the Post, sad I wanted to support them. Stuff app is now rubbish.
Rubbish layout
Rubbish layout, rubbish repeated stories (3/4 sometimes 5x in the same scroll) a complete overhaul this needs. As all the other reviews, I used to check in 2 or 3 times a day now I can not be bothered.
The new app is terrible
The old app was ok, the new one is terrible. It is dismayingly slow to load; hard to navigate; frequently stalls or freezes; links don’t take you to the relevant article; the new look is tacky, and it lacks visual clues to easily distinguish actual news from “celebrity” junk and advertisements. In the past the app was my first stop in the morning, and I checked in several times throughout the day. Now I don’t have the patience to fight it to find news content. I’m not sure who is now the target audience, but it certainly isn’t your traditional readership.
I used to read stuff every day but not anymore …
I used to read stuff every day and loved the way I could navigate my way around different categories with ease. The new app is glitchy slow and it freezes up and won’t work properly on my iphone11. I’ve tried updating the app numerous times as I was sure that they would iron out the problems but no they haven’t so I no longer use stuff as my go to place for news. I miss it but don’t have the time or patience to preservere with such a shockingly terrible app
When you see an article thats says eg
When you see an article thats says eg. Brad Pitt's children are growing up before your eyes, and you go to the article to see Brad's children, you open it up and it shows someone else!! and if you want to see your article you need to scroll through the rest and then you will be lucky if you see what you wanted in the first place so I don't bother
Is zero stars an option??!!
Only giving one star because no stars is not an option!! Glitchy as hell, drops out, impossible to navigate, a previously excellent website now a travesty. Really sad, would love it if stuff could remedy. Off to find a better alternative.
Dreadful website- last century…
Dreadful website- last century technology. Slow and cumbersome. Am deleting Stuff.
This new app update is rubbish…
This new app update is rubbish ,difficult to navigate and often after reading an article it won't allow me to go back to list and I have to close app and reopen to do so.
I hate the new clunky Stuff layout
I hate the new clunky Stuff layout. It’s cluttered looking and fragmented. And the purple and mint colours are hideous and distracting. Please go back to how it was before. I’ve been completely put off using it as my go-to news site.
