Everything about this set up is…

Everything about this set up is dodgy.....After being promised a Good Housekeeping magazine and free book and endless emails chasing it there is nothing forthcoming since September, it is now December. I've been asked numerous times to confirm delivery details which I did but still nothing. Futile, feeble excuses eg not received magazine due to an embargo yet supermarket shelves full of the very self same magazines. I don't think I will ever see the said magazine nor my money again. KEEP WELL AWAY.....To think I nearly bought for the whole family makes by blood run cold.

AVOID!

AVOID!
Ordered an advent calendar and received no acknowledgement or information regarding it being dispatched. Emailed to chase this up to be told a day later it can take up to 10 days.
14 days pass and no sign of parcel, no notification it is being delivered or dispatched. I emailed again to be told they attempted to deliver my item but couldn't find my address so returned it. The only time in over 5 years of living there this has happened and countless parcels and deliveries but i guess that can happen.

Was asked to confirm my address and then they would send another out to me. Confirmed my address but wanted them to confirm they would have the item to me before the 1st but have had no acknowledgement of my email whatsoever.

Requested a refund now, lets see how long it takes for it to come through.

Abhorrent customer service. Stay away.

Sustainable packaging is not working

Having resolved part of my subscription issue I am delighted to say that issue one of a twelve month subscription to Country Living magazine has arrived.
However, the sustainable packaging it came in is wholly inefficient and the contents fell out onto the wet ground as the postman tried to deliver it.
The adhesive used to keep the ends of the wrap sealed is way to flimsy.
I have sent an email to Hearst magazines and country living and will report back on their replies

Bad experience with this company.

Bad experience with this company.
I purchased a makeup package from one of the magazine offers and this offer, with payment was accepted. They requested the information from the buyer and asked for the recipient information such as email. I ticked the "gift"
The RECIPIENT (not me) got a message stating they had sold out and they will offer a full refund. They also told the "gift" recipient how much I paid for the deal. (how vulgar)
I made a complaint and received confirmation that they had sold out and offered an apology for that.
NO APOLOGY or even mention of the screw up with the information sharing. (GDPR people..get with it Hearst)
A mismanaged company? The girl in the Philippine call centre understood and empathised but sadly Hearst believe failure to fulfil an order, letting down and embarrassing me, making me pay more than the cost of a national call to the call centre and informing me after a couple of days, that in a couple of days more they will refund payment, is all in a days work. Ahhh bless em. A rare breed thank goodness.
Please do not reply with a sugar coated PR statement Hearst..You have had plenty of time to respond appropriately by mail.

The saga and the phone calls continue :(

I receive an email advising that a refund has gone through and it implied that I had not bothered to check to confirm this.
Hearst, Your bank REFUSED to make the payment. Do you have enough funds to cover the refund?
This really is such an inept unprofessional company.
However, Paypal confirm my refund will be covered by them should Hearst Magazines default or become insolvent.
I guess, its back at ya Hearst. Did you check YOUR bank account?

WOW, Hurst magazines did not make payment initially and a challenge / despite was filed with pay Pal against them. They refused to refund because they had already paid (which did not go through, that they refused to look into). Just as it looked like the small claims court was the way to go, verification of a refund was provided by pay pal.
HURST. You never did apologise or even recognise that telling the gift recipient how much the gift cost was an uncool thing to do.
I appreciate that allegations made, if not factual would potentially be litigious, however, I have and will retail all proof of your actions and I put it to the management that your systems failed, causing reactions of an arrogant nature from your unsympathetic, unprofessional staff. Perhaps you should look at some "good housekeeping" closer to home.

Thank you anyway for returning my payment for an unfulfilled order in a rather speedy 22 days. good job.

Useless.

Tried to buy a subscription to a magazine. Could not register/log on. The site kept asking for a customer number. Nothing to say how to get a 'Customer Number' Also, would not accept any of the passwords I tried to use. Spent an age trying to get into site but couldn't. Went elsewhere and got my magazine subscription with minimum of effort, - quick and easy. No answer from my email query about getting a customer number. Useless site, try elsewhere.

Charged twice for the same subscriptions - 7 emails later starting again!

Terrible customer services - 7 emails later and they still don't understand that they have charged me for the same subscription twice.

I have given them screenshots of direct debit payments, my subscription reference numbers and everything else under the sun and all I get back is sorry that I want to cancel my subscription and can I provide them with more details!!!!

What ever they are paying these Customer Service people is TOO MUCH! They are also inflating the number of contacts too them if it takes this many emails to try and fix an obvious error on their side.

Been a customer for over a year without…

Been a customer for over a year without a problem. Now my Oct issue has gone missing, and I phoned to tell them. They offered another issue on the end of my subscription, but I insisted on a copy being sent out. The copy has not arrived and when I tried to call them again they had blocked my number. I called them from my husbands mobile, and hey ho the number rang!!! I complained about being blocked and the lady didn't comment. I have also emailed twice where they promise a 3 day response, but no response there either. I am now worried that my other issues will not arrive even though they've had my money. I will not renew, especially as they have so many customers complaining.

What s shocking customer services.

What s shocking customer services.
I am still waiting after 3 months for a refund of all my magazines as a customer services representative deleted ALL my library and bookmarks. I have emailed weekly only to be told technical team are looking at it?????
I also did not received 6 of my subscription magazines and they tried to tell me the magazines had not published those months digitally (really that the best you can dream up)?

Unhelpful customer services

I received a digital subscription to Good Housekeeping as a gift and have been unable to access the issues I have bought for several weeks. I’ve contacted them by email several times and they have been unable to resolve the issue. I also tried calling them but they are unwilling to help me citing GDPR regulations. Apparently, they need to speak to the person who gifted me the subscription to resolve this!

Don't be fooled by the ads. They will stop your magazines and make it difficult for you to get a refund

I purchased a 6 month subscription to Good Housekeeping for my wife. We only received 2 magazines. We contacted them by email and were informed our postman had returned the magazine undelivered so they had "frozen" the account. They never bothered to contact me despite me having registered online and they had my address phone and email. They tried to resolve the problem by reinstating the order and charging another 9.99 subscription fee. I told them where to stick their magazine. Direct debit cancelled with bank. They haven't refunded the first subscription. So take my advice and avoid Hearst Magazines

DAYLIGHT ROBBERY

Ordered a back issue of Women's Health which never arrived. Was told twice that they had resent it, only to then be told - on my third attempt to track it down - that, in fact, they had run out and had authorised a refund. Have tried to chase the refund, been told my case has been escalated to managers who will contact me back. NO REFUND YET. THIS IS DAYLIGHT ROBBERY.

Terrible service

Terrible, non existent customer service. After 2 years of successful subscription to the Good Housekeeping digital edition it has suddenly stopped. Emails to Hearst Magazines are not answered and when I phoned them all they could say was “just be patient”. I gave up and have cancelled my direct debit with my bank, having read other reviews that they will continue to take the money. Whatever you do, don’t subscribe!

Never received magazine, quicker to go to shop!

Never received magazine despite Hearst claiming they had sent it twice. Asked for a refund for 1 years subscription but again never received. I was told I could manage my subscription online but all you can do is look at your order, not cancel and get refunded. Very poor service I would advise if you are able to get to a newsagent then it’s best to go and get the magazine yourself.

Unable to cancel subscription

I signed up in November for 2 magazines at a 6 month discounted price. I wrote to them on 2 occasions using the 'contact box' on their website to advise them that I did not wish to continue with the magazine order once the 6 month period was up. They never responded and have now taken £40.00 from my account to cover the cost of a further contract period. I haven't been able to get any success from them regarding the cancellation of the order. I will be contacting trading standards about the online purchase. Just be very careful if you intend to purchase their offers.

Avoid this company at all costs

Avoid this company at all costs. Purchased a 12 month subscription for a friend's Bithday and they continued to take money out of my account for the next 3 years. They said they had sent me a confirmation email which informed me that this I had signed up for a rolling contract. I did not receive any such email. This key information was not on their website or listed in their terms and conditions. When I contacted customer services they just kept saying it was my fault for signing up with them.

Don't make the same mistake. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID.
