Gadget Cover / Supercover Insurance is the most incompetent company I have ever had dealings with.
1. Gadget lost. Logged into my account online. Made claim. Received email saying they cancelled my policy due to missed payment. No emails/post/phone calls letting me know payment was missed never mind that they had cancelled my policy. Made official complaint. Agreed that it was against their terms and conditions to cancel my policy without notification. Claim processed 28/08/2015
2. It took 3 weeks from my claim being processed for me to receive my device. I was told on several occasions that it had already been posted and/or delivered but refused to give me any tracking or delivery information. After calling the company on several occasions they told me that they was sending it out that day 22/09/2015 and would be received the next day, even though that they had previously said it had been sent/delivered.
3. 02/10/2015 direct debit took from my account of £39.90. This had not been arranged/ approved. I was not notified that the transaction had been made.
4. 07/10/2015 phoned to see why they had processed DD. Was told it was an error but couldn’t provide me with any information on why it had been processed without my knowledge or agreement only it was an error and they was sorry. Them taking the DD without authorisation resulted in other DD’s to bounce resulting in charges. Told refund would be processed and money would be received no later than Monday 12/10/2015.
5. Phoned them on 15/10/2015 as refund still not received. Refund had not been processed, again couldn’t explain why, just apologised told refund would be received no later than Monday 19/10/2015.
6. 19/10/2015 Refund still not processed, got told to contact my back as it must be there issue as refund had definitely been processed, they sent me a confirmation email which showed the wrong amount. Phoned my bank they said direct debit hadn’t been returned or requested to be returned, bank processed DD retrieval for me.
thank u!
When I bought my iphone I was not sure to buy a cover insurance.
I said to myself : I am gonna taking care of my iphone, why i need an insurance?
Fortunately, my gf convinced me to do that ( less than 60 pound in a years), therefore when I broke my iphone after 45 days, it was really easy to get a new one!!:)
costumer service really help me (even if they asked many questions!) and i am happy now! :)
