Great experience buying parts and…

Great experience buying parts and accessories.

I have bought multiple parts from Lenovo to fix laptops myself, dispatch is quick and buying from Lenovo means you know the parts are original and can be trusted.

They make it very easy to find the required parts and to confirm compatibility with laptop models

When they send engineers out to our office they are all very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the devices.

I have also purchased accessories such as bags and chargers and also had a good experience.

Terrible

They didn’t even let me know about sending a part for my repair no email, message or call about delivery or tracking number. It was silently delivered to my mailroom and i just found out right before the service technician came to the repair appointment. Horrible

I had a very bad experience with repair my notebook

I had a very bad experience with my repair support case where they stated the faulty part can't be claimed from warranty due to human error (internal crack screen) and they said I have to pay for it. Then they said they will forward the case to billing team to give me a quote. I waited couple of days no update. I live chat with their customer service and they found out the support case was not update properly and it was not forwarded to billing team. After I got the quote, I signed the acceptance offer and email them back. Wait for couple days and no update. Live chat again and they said they did not receive it. Resend it and they said they will contact me for confirmation of payment. So far still no response for the payment. It has been a week and looks like every step of the process you have to chase them and "supervise" them making sure they execute the right activity in the support ticket. Such a lousy support organization.

They just gave me a few things to try to fix my problem and when none of their suggestions works, they just gave me the run-around. One group tries to pawn my off on another group, no one wants to do any work. I am on day #3 now, chatting with them. I'm exhausted.

Avoid at all costs

Sent in my Lenovo tablet to be repaired under warranty waited a week and decided to check the status on their website to be shown on billable hold, no one has contacted me or anything. Reason for hold water damage, well the tablet hasn't been near water and has been kept in my draw in my bedroom. Unfortunately this seems to be a common occurrence to hold you to at ransom by trying to charge for make believe issues, read reviews before buying any Lenovo products and you will find many reasons not to buy one.

They need a ZERO STAR option

They need a ZERO STAR option. I am a Pro Business customer. I had points disappear from the acct that shouldn't have. A Lenovo Rep said if I built the cart, gave him the #, that he would adjust it to give the points ($) back. He wrote 4 quotes, all were higher than the online price. Then he stated he couldn't give them back after WEEKS of going back and forth. Ordered a laptop I didn't want bc by the time the last guy was done, what I wanted wasn't avail. So, I ordered another, but a week later (before the previous shipped) they had the one I wanted - Thikpad X1 Extreme 16# w Carbon Fiber cover. I called and they said they would try to stop the first one from shipping, then they said they couldn't and I had to accept it when it arrived, then send it back. I wasted a trip to the UPS store to return something I canceled. 2nd laptop arrived. I was excited until I attempted to use it and heard this clicking noise. The bottom is warped, so when you type, it clicks. I asked for the PRO BIz team in chat. I go through it with her, send her photos, and videos, then she says it's not available and I can only return it. So, now MONTHS later, a huge waste of my time, I have no laptop. I have to send this back. She refused to replace it without another model and said the supervisor would tell me no, too. So, I couldn't reach a supervisor either. I've been using Thinkpads since the IBM era in the 90s! They just lost a loyal customer. Keep in mind, a $4,599.00 laptop should not have a clicking noise!! Annoyed. I just wanted a 16" Carbon Fiber laptop replaced. The only ones they have in stock are 16gigs w a 256. Mine is 32g/1tb. I don't want the lesser!

Awful

Awful. Took 3 times to get any help. I have a crack near a hinge that is metal and caused the damage within 1 year of getting it. It's never left the house and sits on a desk at home but they said a crack would be accidental damage and not covered. It was a $900 machine. The local PC Dr. I took it to said this happens with these machines and "good luck" getting it covered. I asked to speak to someone higher up, she gave me the standard warranty answer she read and then "suddenly" there was a static noise and disconnected.

Poor service at Lenovo

I own a Yoga 7i and purchased an extended warranty under the pretense that what they promised in the details would occur.
Unfortunately, My laptop was damaged and it's was hell trying to get anyone at Lenovo capable of having an informative conversation. Nobody seems to know how to provide timely updates, they just leave you on hold for literally hours (coming back to apologize for the wait of course).
When asked to escalate the call to a manager, good luck.
Being a computer company, it's surprising they don't have a feature to save chat transcripts.
Yes, the product is nice but it's not that sturdy and the people behind it are useless.
While it was a hassle dealing with support staff, the laptop eventually was repaired. I really like the product. I hope they improve the staff though.

Worst customer service I've ever encountered

Customer support are not only unhelpful, but outright dishonest. Continually lie about the actions they have (not) taken and force the customer to run around in circles to correct the company's mistakes. Word to the wise, even if your product is still under warranty, you're better off writing it off then trying to deal with this company

BEWARE!! BUY ELSEWHERE

After seeking advice from Lenovo on their website (because there is no way you can find at part yourself on their website) we realised Lenovo had sold and sent us the wrong part. Over the phone they agreed to refund the part with 20% restocking fee. When I tried and proceed with the refund they advised that they won't refund at all because I didn't write down the 30 letter foreign name that popped up on my screen. Not acceptable. You have hundreds of staff and not one of them knows what they are talking about. I have literally spend atleast two hours trying to deal with this company. Not one that can speak English properly. Off to Department of Consumer Affairs we go.

Most horrible customer service I've ever experienced - avoid at all costs

I have had the most ridiculous god awful experience dealing with Lenovo customer service. I bought my Legion 9i from the original owner who never opened or used it, on December 27th 2023. When I first opened the laptop and checked the warranty it noted that the warranty wasn't registered but it was still under warranty, and had started that day (December 27th 2023) and would last 1yr, with the option to extend to 4yrs. I checked again on March 5th 2024 for no real reason, and it was still under warranty. On a gut feeling I checked again on March 27th 2024 and I had no warranty. 0 months left, it said my warranty started December 27th 2023 and ended December 28th 2023, and it said my laptop was sold by the manufacturer without a warranty. Thankfully I have photos from March 5th 2024 proving I did have a warranty, but unfortunately no original proof of purchase from the guy I bought it from. I have called them countless times now and every single time I talk to someone who can barely speak English that says my laptop was never sold with a warranty. I finally got an email address from them to send my proof photos and never heard back. A representative told me that it had no warranty but was under warranty so once it had been sold to me the warranty was removed, I don't even know what that means or how it's possible. I keep going in circles with these guys, they've hung up on me, left me on hold for 30 minutes at a time, and always say the same thing without explaining how or why. Their system won't even let me buy a new warranty. I will never buy another Lenovo product again, this is the worst customer service I have ever experienced, and it's such a horrible experience I almost want to sell my laptop and buy something else entirely. Except, it will be more difficult to sell now that it has no warranty.

No Price Match

They won’t even price match they’re own products on they’re own website. They’re own price match policy states they will price match up to 30 days after purchase.
I ordered a p11 combo last week, on sale for 20% off to be delivered on the 22. The minute I hit order now and paid, the shipping changed from the 22nd to the 28th.
Now, 5 days later, I find it on they're website for 31% off !
I’m thinking a simple phone call to sales support will price match. Nope
They suggest I return the item and re-order at the new sale price.
The reason given that it was already on sale when I purchased it and thats policy. I tell them I want an RMA. I’m told I need to do that through the website. I go back to the website to get a RMA. Nowhere on the website is there a place to request a return or RMA. I phone back for a RMA and am told they can’t issue me a RMA because its still in transit, Its policy. I remind him it was supposed to be here yesterday and I need the RMA so I can have someone else return it for me when it arrives as I will not be here on the 28th. Reluctantly he agree’s to authorize me a RMA and e-mail me a return label.
Checking e-mail hourly, 96 hrs later still no RMA , W.T.F.
Not only did they lie to me, by misrepresenting a correct delivery date to make the sale, then they’re customer service person lies to me to keep me from returning it.
I have my own policy too. I don't do business with scam artist scumbag companies that don't know how customer service works. Treat customers fair “keep customer” treat them like s**t “loose customer” its simple.
I will be returning ASAP with no sale at all, what a complete waste of my time.
Avoid these clowns like the plague
Its not worth the aggravation or stress
UPDATE:
a few weeks later after leaving this review and some other bad reviews on some other sites, I was contacted by Lyne at lenovocare ? she referenced one of the reviews mentioned (BBB), she was able to help me get the price match approved, but only because I had screen shots of the sale price that had since expired, I am satisfied with the end result, but I don't think I should have had to jump through hoops leaving bad reviews on other consumer protection type websites to get a proper customer service experience. If I had not this wouldn't have been resolved. Still a huge fail on the customer service phone support in my opinion.
Purchase at your own peril.

Poor Customer Service

I ordered a new computer on a Tuesday evening, the site offered two day shipping for $49 more, so I applied that as well. I had some trouble getting the order to go through, I was on hold for almost 30 minutes just to get to talk to someone. She said that she would resolve the issue but it could take some time. I asked her if once she got the issue resolved if she would place the order for me (all of my bank information was entered), she said she would. It was 10pm at that time. The next morning the order had not been placed. I emailed her and she said she would check, two hours later at 11am I was notified that the order was placed. I said many, many times to her that I needed it by Thursday and at the very least 2 day shipping, she said no problem and she would even remove the $49 charge for my trouble (she did). She said that she would expedite the shipping. The order was placed on Wed morning at 11am. It did not even leave their facility until Thursday (Uh, why so long???) I thought it was expedited. So I thought well maybe they are doing an overnight thing. I called back and inquired and this other girl said that I needed to wait 24-48 hours before the shipping info will be emailed to me. 24-48??? I should have it by then, not just be getting the shipping info then. She kept talking in circles (in broken English that was hard to understand). I thanked her and hung up. Bottom line, the shipping info says that I will not get it until Monday.
So if I could order it on Tuesday and get it on Thursday, why can't I order it on Wednesday and get it on Friday?? Especially with the "expediated" shipping. I am not at all happy with the level of customer service. I pray that when I FINALLY get it that the thing runs properly because if I have to call customer service for more help, well, I might just opt to send it back rather than do that.

Sales Support beyond comprehension (negative)

Lenovo Quote: 4645248470

I just spent, and without jest, the last 4 hours trying to purchase the Yoga Pro 9i. The tech support person who I dealt with at the begining was nice enough - no complaints. But the sales person for sales support ( Massimiliano G), he was completely rude and unwilling to help make the sale. I am truly beside myself on this matter. Why would anyone want to deal with Lenovo if they are so incredibly disrespectful at the time of sales let alone for assistance after the sale. Not to mention that he or they were so unwilling to help make the sale. Obviously I was not able to purchase the computer

Lenovo has the worst support team ever

I purchased my ideapad through lenovo on line in January, and it was faulty from day 1....but i persevered for 3 weeks, until it wouldn't even fire up. Reported to lenovo, they did troubleshooting over the phone, realised it was a faulty motherboard. They arranged for it to be collected by FedEx.........that was 3 weeks ago, it still hasn't been collected, despite someone being at the property daily, from 9 till 5. I phone and email them on a daily basis, and they always promise it will be sorted but I still have the faulty lap top, I have never been able to use, I am at my wits end.

Horrible Warranty Service

Received my new Tablet P12 very quickly but ran into a tech issue and called premium support as I had purchased the premium level tech support/warranty. I was told I had NO warranty at all. I was assured that would be corrected. Two days later: I logged in and found my warranty was entered as the base level. Called premium tech again and told they couldn't help - sent me to the Basic team who had no one available and I'd have to wait 24-48 hrs for a call back. I told them: please correct my warranty and again was assured this would be done. It's now 2 weeks and still not corrected. Fortunately for me I was able to fix the tech issue I initially had - but still have the wrong warranty on my account. They have a script to read to apologize, assure, they will "escalate" and so far: poor service. I just now found an option to report warranty issues on their website and sent that along too. Not holding my breath. HA1VWFGY

I’ve never been to place that does not…

I’ve never been to place that does not put the diagnostic price into repair service if accepted except Lenovo. I asked for the price of repair before sending out my tablet but they wouldn’t give me one. It turned out, it was the same price as buying a new one plus the diagnostic price. A simple screen replacement cost me over $300.

I had the best experience with Natalie

I had the best experience with Natalie, a customer service rep for Lenovo. She has a very pleasant phone manner, got me the information I needed quickly, and to top it off called me back about 45 minutes later to tell me she had been looking around and found a better price for the item I wanted. I don't think I've ever had a representative of any company take such an interest in helping me. I am thoroughly impressed. Thanks, Natalie.
